I like the late pinna gain, and the extra mid-bass seems interesting. The graph reminds me of the Ziigaat Cinno, which is a good set for about half the price of the KE4.
I love Dynaquatro. It's one of those iems that I have no issue recommending at the price for those who want a bit of excitement on the neutral side of things.
Re: Ear tips - the Flex are a love them or hate them but they're really there to boost the bass/mids but they do bring down the treble a bit. Only good for brighter IEMs.
@@jacobpotash8690 in stock iems cheap stuff like the aful explorer, and the Letshuoer S08. I have some very modded s12s by a very good friend that won’t reveal his secret sauce, but whatever he is doing these are my TOTL for me.
@@jacobpotash8690 I found some inexpensive solutions in the aful explorer and the Letshuoer S08. The buzz on the street from reliable sources, the Kiwi Ears KE4 is one I’m going to try as soon as it will get here. That’s looking like Sept 5th is the day I find out. It’s $200. And a final rec for the Binary Acoustics Dyna Quattro @ $260.
Do you think these are worth getting over the Explorer providing I want a warm / relaxing set for background listenning (no odd treble peaks and boosted upper mid) and I also much prefer the design of the Explorer.
I am enjoying the KE4. One thing I did notice is that they sound best with the stock Kiwi Ears Flex Eartips. I tried my entire collection of tips and only the Eletech Baroque Tips and Audiosense S400 Tips sounded any good... and weren't much, if any, improvement over the stock tips.
@Jaytiss don't get me wrong, there are better options at the $200 price point, and even below (Explorer, Performer 5, SL-41 MK II, Kara, Supermix 4, etc.).
Just had a scan through your ranking list... I highly recommend you try the Prestige LTD... It's one that got overlooked by many... Not sure why... I can't find any flaws in it's sound at its price.
I think the issue is that people don't expect it to be tuned differently than the OG version, and that was bad. And that's a real shame indeed, as LTD seems to be a refined Monarch Mk.2 and one of the best tuned IEMs ever.
@@juanblanco7898 interesting take... I only started getting into iems around the time the LTD was released so that might explain why the original Prestige didn't sway me at all.
I want something more exciting and more bass than the Aful Explorers. Would you recommend these? I was thinking this or the s08? Trying to stay under or around 200. Just saw dynaquattro is 230.
I really like dynaquatro, nice case and cable with it too with different terminations. To me Dynaquatro is better by a lot. But kiwiears KE4 is super neutral. Do you want a great set that is fun and can work as a monitor Dynaquatro, do you want a chill set that is hyper neutral KE4.
@Jaytiss sounds like the dynaquattro might be for me. I don't want another neutral set as that is why I want to upgrade from the explorers. Bass is kinda lacking and treble is a little too light for me. I'm trying to get close to the sound I had from my xba-a3 without buying the z5s.
No bullsh*t straight video. The graph in the end is priceless. Subscribed right away! ❤️
Thanks 🙏!
Love your unboxing and the way you show the build and fit.
Thanks!
Thanks for review!
Im still waiting for qoa hahah

I could see that. I found the ke4 much more engaging in the treble than the Cinno.
Skipping this one and going straight for the Dynaquattro but awesome breakdown on the new meta tuning 😃

@@Jaytiss Neutral sounding tuning seems to be my jam 🤓🎶
Low upper mid always good iem. Looking forward for it
It’s a solid iem.
Nice review! I bet those sound really good! Maybe...
They are pretty sold.
Re: Ear tips - the Flex are a love them or hate them but they're really there to boost the bass/mids but they do bring down the treble a bit. Only good for brighter IEMs.
Definitely a hate for me. 😆
Great review and comparisons. Not sure if the new jm-1 target is my style of tuning. I love my mid bass slam with a slight bleed into the lower mids.
That's fair, it's a tuning for air and detail. A lot like the hexa.
What IEMs satisfy mid-bass slam for you? Been looking for something like that to contrast my usual listening sessions with the Elysian Pilgrim

Aful explorer a better pick? graphs look similar and I love the exploder.
I think so. Great iem at the price.

Not really. I think they would be worth demoing if you get a chance.

Thanks for the review.👍👍
How does it compare to the CCA Hydro?
Hydro is really good. The tunings are way different.
Thanks! Looks great, how does it compare to Supermix 4? KE4 vs SM4. :)
I’d go Ke4 for most people. It’s better, but expensive.
Jaytiss, thank you for another wonderful earphone review! 👌

Hi! thanks for review. Does it have a driver flex?
It does not. I never had an issue with it.
How does it compare with the Supermix 4 and em10?
Different tunings 100%. EM10 is very enjoyable and fun, but some think it a little bit V shaped. Supermix is basically the same thing tuning wise.
@@Jaytiss thank you
What do reviewers mean when they say something (bass, mids, treble) is dynamic or not dynamic?
Depends on the reviewer. Everyone kinda talks differently. Dynamic is good generally.
@@Jaytiss what makes it that?
Great review! Which would be better? Kiwi Ears 4 or Moondrop Kato????
I'd personally go Kiwi Ears 4. You can get the Aria 2 for 90 which is about the same as the Kato.
@@Jaytiss Thank you - much appreciated 👍
Is this the best "new meta" tuning iem below $200?
From what I can tell, and what I have reviewed. Yes.
pula/cklvx are meta
It's the Crin certified meta tuning IEM under $200, but there's also Pula Pa02 and cklvx d41 at more affordable price.
It's the only one at that price.
Thanks. Kiwi Ears usually got a nice face plate design but this one is just meh. And there's no way KE stands for Kiwi Ears, right?
no idea, it's just a silly name.
Can you talk more about the Con of these rather than saying it's "okay for 200$", considering there will be cheaper competitions soon
splashy trebble, not enough 2k energy, $200 dollars is a lot of money. Big massive cons.
@@Jaytiss if I cant stand the Hype4, should I purchase this?
