Emily LovesMakeup you probably don’t need any any layers and layers. Did you say you are in your 30’s? That is a ‘dewy’ decade when your skin is still naturally moisturized from within. I’m 60 and believe me, 60 year old skin needs help. But, as you can see, it is easy to over-do it and everything will fill the fine lines and wrinkles fast. I thought all the adding oil and tapping off product and setting methods are excellent! Good for any age to apply.
I'm a busy 59 year old. I prefer a faster, simpler routine. I use an eye cream, wait for it to set while getting ready, then I either use a concealer that doesn't need setting (Maybelline Instant Age Rewind) with a brush (Elf Eye Blending brush--the $1 one), or one that is super high coverage (MUR) and set with a tiny bit of powder. If it looks a dry or wrinkly, I apply a teeny bit of squalene or moisturizer, as you demonstrated.
Thank you! I actually stopped wearing make up until I found your channel a couple of weeks ago. I have been following your instruction and I have to say I have fallen in love with cosmetics again! Thank you!!!
Found my new makeup guru. You are close to my age , not 20 doing Instagram makeup. And having your mum on really helps us. I’m 42 , so I’m between both your ages. Finally some one so close to my age. Xoxo.
I was so discouraged lately, with my current concealer routine. The creasing, and these dark circles have been a nightmare. I’m 38, and the eye area has become a challenge!!! Your video was soooo informative, and spot on. Best concealer creasing video on RUclips!!!❤️❤️❤️Thanks to you I’m hopeful again!!
Thank you for this info! Creasing has been a fact of life but i suspect with these suggestions that it will become a thing of the past. Your Mum is absolutely stunning and she has such an infectious smile. Have a lovely day xx
Love this!!!! I ran along the tiny bit of oil working quite by accident but 12 hours with no creasing is terrific! Awesome tutorial. Love your beautiful mum. ❤️
Just found your channel today and enjoyed this tutorial very much. I am 58 and am just beginning to have trouble with fine lines and circles. Appreciate you doing this on your mom because it shows how it looks realistically for the mature skin. Enjoyed!
I happen to come across this video yesterday and almost didn't watch it. I have to say I am so glad that I did. I am 58 and have crepey skin under my eyes. In all of these years, and watching so many videos for "mature women" I have never found anything that helped with concealer or my foundation not caking under my eye or settling into the fine lines...UNTIL NOW!! I tried your suggestion about using the tiniest amount of oil (I already have Palmers Coconut facial oil in my cabinet) mixed with my concealer. I cannot believe the difference it made. I put it on at 7am and it still looks just as good. I did not seal it with any type of powder, I may try that tomorrow. Thank you! I will now be one of your faithful followers!!
Hello from the US! I tried your techniques this morning and I have to say that my under eye concealer has never looked better. I think the biggest mistake I was making was putting on extra eye cream five minutes before doing my concealer. I really liked your tip about using a tiny bit of oil mixed into the concealer as well. Thanks for making this video!
I’ve watched RUclips for many years and I have never heard anyone else give that talc and water explanation! I had given up on setting but I will give these tricks a try.
I’m 54 and I have some wrinkles under my eyes but they’re not extremely bad. Last week I did an experiment and used only my setting powder. My under eyes looked so awful! Especially in the lighting at work! The next day I patted a tiny bit of Marula Oil over the setting powder. Let me tell you, it looked 100 times better then the day before! This is now my go to routine for setting my under eyes!!! Thank you for this tip! ❤️
Hi lisa I gave very dry skin and nothing I did helped my foundation go on with caking, until I put a thin layer of marula on instead if primer and now my foundation looks flawless. I think oil us sooo underrated. 😊
Thank you gals on Pampered Wolf.....you are the only ones I like to watch! I always have good luck with your recommendations! I love Mom and daughter together❤️
I love watching you and your mom. You two remind me of how my mother and I were. She walked in on me one day doing my makeup and I have always made that face when doing my eyes and I don't remember why but she laughed at me and asked me if that helped putting my makeup on. I laughed and said yes it really does. I lost my mother and it really warms my heart watching you two. She was my best friend.
Love all these tips! I used to use a setting powder to set my under eyes and while it prevented creasing, it also looked a bit dry and the powder began to bother my eyes. I now use setting spray to set my concealer by spraying it onto a damp beauty sponge and pressing it lightly into the concealer. I let this dry, then finish my eye makeup. It works great and I no longer have irritated eyes. I don't remember having this issue with powders when I was younger, but now in my 50's everything irritates them, even shimmer eye shadows. :( But the setting spray does the trick and keeps my powdered eye shadows sealed so they can't migrate into my eyes.
@@helpfulnatural hey u mean after applying concealer wid damp beauty blender(sprayed wid setting spray)...we no dont need to apply d powder to set it..pl clarify
@@pertneeru I apply my concealer first, let it set for a couple of minutes. I use a brush to apply it but you can use whatever works best for you. Then I spray a damp beauty blender with setting spray and press it lightly onto the concealer to set it. Don't press too hard or you will remove some of the concealer. Hope this helps. :)
Oh my gosh! That was THE most informative, helpful and easily explained tutorial for my biggest problem. I can't wait to try these techniques out. (i downloaded the video) You have a new subscriber. 💛💄🌸✌
Can’t wait to try the technique with oil. Great to see your mum modelling again today, and your tutorials are as fresh as always. Love it. Keep them coming xx
Oh, yes, please do a setting spray video! And please tell us which concealers don’t need to be set. You are now my go-to mature skin makeup guru! Another favor you could do for us women who are 50+: If you don’t recommend primers, what are some affordable foundations that won’t call attention to the lines on my forehead and the lines between my eyebrows? Or maybe there are makeup tricks to deal with that issue? Bless your heart, sweetie, for helping us out! I miss my 25-year-old perfect skin so much. 😔
JP M; I don't like the feel of primers either so I started using my setting spray. I liberally spray it onto a dampened beauty blender, then press it into my skin. I then apply my foundation after the setting spray has dried. My foundation lasts longer, is smoother and it helps to blur my pores and fine lines. It also doesn't feel at all heavy like primers do. :)
JP M Oh yes I do! I've had those damn 11's for close to 20 years. Grrrrr.... But I find that the more I try to hide them, the worse my makeup settles into them making it even more accentuated. It's a no-win battle it seems. :/ I've tried all types of primers to blur them but nothing really works. Those lines are right there in the middle of my face like a billboard!
Unless you're 20 and/or have very oily skin, any kind of powder is a disaster under the eyes. Apply your concealer in your preferred way, and then gently tap a tiny dab of face oil (jojoba, almond etc) around the under eye area (being careful not to erase the concealer of course). I use Estee Lauder Double Wear flawless SPF 10 around the tear trough, with Collection concealer in lemon in the inner corners. Remember less is more with concealer - but this bloodwell works. Yay!
You have the bestest tips of any "beauty guru" ever! I just turned 60 and love watching you and your mom! Your natural eye makeup is beautiful and would love to know how you do it. I'm so glad I found your channel! You are truly amazing! :o) ♡♡♡
Thank you! So helpful. I really like your approach, and you seem very approachable, honest, and sincerely trying to help others. Thanks for these helpful tips!
Just came across your channel, perfect timing. I’m 53 with very dry under eyes. Everything I try cakes and creases. Was about to return the new Lancôme concealer but I will apply these techniques and 🤞btw I’ve watched several videos recently on how to apply concealer on mature under eyes and yours was the BEST! Thank you! New Subscriber here💖
REALLY great tips and how to for concealer! I get that crepey CREEPY look in the inner corne of my under eye if I set it with powder and I was going cry with frustration. The look you did to cover the discoloration and circles looked beautiful and I will absolutely try this! Also beautiful lip colors!!
You & your mum are such beautiful, lovely ladies. I just subbed to your channel. This info is SO needed. I'm in my 60's and have struggled with dry skin and creasing. Thanks so very much and have a wonderful day.

My concealer always creases with setting powder but I plan on trying all 3 techniques to see if one does the trick. Thank you for the great tips, I plan on watching more of you! I’ve lost all my confidence with makeup. Starting from scratch is extremely daunting as the makeup techniques and products were so limited in the 80s. I watch your videos religiously and have picked up some amazing tips to build a little confidence to to try a few methods with unfamiliar ‘ products ‘ available, I especially amazed on the cruelty free makeup and brands associated with them. The one with your mum and how to avoid the concealer to set in the line and ceasing with the concealer and how to set it with the powder was an education for me. Keep up you entertaining lessons with such amazing presentations.
Hi beautiful! I use physicians formula Argan oil and coconut water primer(I know you said you aren't a fan of primer) but this one is like a half oil half water based. Works great for me when it comes to my concealer creasing. Great Video. ❤✌🏻
I don't really leave comments very often and you're probably not going to really see this anyway but.....I tried these tips today on my wonderful less than perfect eyes!!! And I have to tell everyone that for me, this is a complete game changer!!! These tips work REALLY well for me!!! I could tell a HUGE difference immediately! So a big thank you SO MUCH to you and your wonderful mom for your tips and tricks! New subscriber and big hello from Oklahoma!!!
Your Mom is gorgeous! Please pass that along. I'm actually working on my Mom's dark under eyes today to help her decide what product & method works for her. Thank you!
Thank you, thank you , thank you! I have found that your tip about blotting under the eyes has made a huge difference. Also how to load the brush and tap off the excess was helpful.
So I have watched hundreds of videos to try and stop my under eyes from the dreaded creasing...blend with damp sponge, dry sponge, cheap makeup sponges and setting spray, blending with a brush, applying the smallest amount, setting with powder and not setting, mixing with moisturiser or primer, bought several concealers. I feel like I tried them all. Nothing worked. I resigned to the fact that I was just always going to have creased under eyes making me look 10 years older. I came across your video and OMG I've been doing your technique of putting on the back of my hand and then applying with a brush over the last couple of days, using different concealers, and I've had *no* creasing!!!! Thank you so much!!! 😁
I have had 5 people ask how to deal with under eye concealing in the last two weeks. This is the best video I have seen on the subject. I have seen a lot. Great job. I shared it on FB.
love you videos. So informative and valuable. I tried the finely milled powder with a wet sponge. It WORKED beautifully! The trick is definitely wet sponge and a little powder. I couldn't find the recommended RCMA powder here in the U.S. so I just used Cody airspun. It worked beautifully and was very fine milled. I also used the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealor which I Love. Thank you so much for the tutorial video. Your videos are my fav especially for more mature women.
Just discovered your channel, and I've already picked up so many helpful tips! By the way...Your tip here for adding oil to the concealer before application is life-changing! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!
Okay, I'm going to try this out. Because nothing I've tried before has really worked. I would love it if you would do a video about concealers that don't need to be set. I love when your mom is in the videos. You two are just gorgeous.
Your videos are so much better than most. You actually do the work necessary to put out an informed and educated tutorial or lesson. I am super impressed. I'm a fairly new subscriber and I will be a loyal one from now on. Thank you to you and your gorgeous mum.
Loved this video!! Thank you so much, its really difficult to find any great makeup tutorials for mature skin, this was fabulous. Also just wanted to add, your Mum is absolutely stunning, LOVE her hair
Excellent videos. Very informative and comprehensible. Thank you, I've been looking for someone who isn't 6 trying to tell a mature lady how to do their makeup! Having your mum as a model is a touch of genius. We'll done
You BOTH make a great team! You're mum must be so proud of her daughter. I look forward to watching more of your videos with your mom as a model, as we both have mature skin. BTW....she is quite stunning and healthy too.
Hello mum X both stunning as usual! Great advise, I'm mid 50's and have trouble with under eye concealers creasing, so will definitely be trying the methods described. Cheers chic xx
Thank you so much for sharing this information with all of us. I have been so upset with my under eye issues and not know how to make it look better. I have watched your videos over and over experimenting on what works best for me. I was feeling bad that I don't have a daughter who could help me figure this stuff out - God heard my prayers and sent me your very thoughtful video advice. Its always a pleasure to watch your videos. Thanks again!
I followed this advice as closely as possible using only moisturizer, my pinky, and the only concealer I own and my under eye area was a BAZILLION Times better than ever in my life. Thank you for this valuable instruction.
Ty so much for the concealer hacks. I'm 43 with very little bit of lines cause I mouisterize daily, but time will kick n god willing, but still helps for the lines I do have. I just rediscovered ur videos n quit enjoy ur content 👏💙💛😘😘
You are the only youtuber that I've seen who has the exact same eye shape as me. You kind of look like me but alot prettier lol. Thank you so much for this!!!
Hi ladies. I love the video and all the helpful tips and can't wait for more but I have to say my heart melted during this video when Gemma asked her Mum what the finger was called and Mum answered and it just carried on. No silly screaming about it, just true to life behaviour from a girl and her Mummy. I love it and I'm the same with my Mum. She means the world to me and I'm a big girl of 53 now. Never too big to go over her knee, so she reminds me sometimes lolol All the best, love Helen in the UK. xxxx
Some excellent tips there. I especially loved the explanation for the very damp beauty blender tip. It's nice to know the why behind something. Great to see ur mum again. I would like to see a video for setting spray. I use one myself just the last month or so and it's brilliant for when the humidity is high and you have to deal with that and sweat.

I came across your video and OMG I've been doing your technique of putting on the back of my hand and then applying with a brush over the last couple of days, using different concealers, and I've had *no* creasing!!!! Thank you so much!!! 😁
I'm so glad I can be of some assistance. XXX
I have had 5 people ask how to deal with under eye concealing in the last two weeks. This is the best video I have seen on the subject. I have seen a lot. Great job. I shared it on FB.
Thank you Taya xxx
One of the best tutorials for mature eyes I’ve seen. Thanks.
Yes a setting spray video would be awesome! I’m 61 years young 😊
Hi Lisa, I've already done one. Check out my library of videos xxx
love you videos.
I love to see your mum with you. Best wishes or the coming new year to both. Great tips
Yes please on the setting spray. Thank you for the wonderful tips... can’t wait to try them!!!!!
Great advice for preventing concealer creasing. I'll certainly be trying them out : )

I've tried every dang color corrector. I'm 45. The best I've found is georgio armani master corrector in pink. The consistency is amazing.

Hi Teresa, It's always a pleasure being an adopted daughter. We're all family here on my channel. Welcome to The Pampered Wolf Pack xxx

Welcome to the Pampered Wolf Pack Christie xxx
You are the only youtuber that I've seen who has the exact same eye shape as me. You kind of look like me but alot prettier lol. Thank you so much for this!!!
These tips were LIFE CHANGING.
Never too big to go over her knee, so she reminds me sometimes lolol
All the best, love Helen in the UK. xxxx
My Mum and Dad are no longer together but they're my best friends. I', so glad you have the same relationship with your mum xxx
