Odds are if they know the vehicle is hot (being tracked) they’re going to ditch it quick. Every minute they’re inside it tearing it apart is a minute closer to the cops showing up.

My AirTag don’t track unless I’m within a few feet of it. Why is that? I have it under my driver seat bar. However, as soon as it’s 1 block away I’m notified that it’s not near me, then I can’t trace. SMH HELPPPP😮

Addtionally if thief has an I-Phone and will tell her that there is an unauthorized Air Tag tracking you. Remember all that anti-stalker software applied to their products? So her I-Phone will tell her exactly where itś at.
If it’s specific to airtag get a different brand. The Tile tracker is just as good but if your car connects to any Bluetooth trackers then idk that’s tough

It will notify you when other Apple devices are near it. It uses them to send you the location.
