I have a kinda cute story about that.
So I actually didn't know ice cream cones where edible until the end of 3rd grade. However, I ate them anyway because I thought eating "non-edible" objects was cool. (This also included pencils, small rocks, and wood chips from the playground.) And whenever I would eat any of these I would do so in front of my classmates or teachers to show off. And on the last day of school one of my friends goes, "By the way ice cream cones are edible." And at the time my mind was just completely blown away.
