Is a condition caused by an aspirin overdose. It could be acute or chronic.
Symptoms include tinnitus (ringing in the ears), shortness of breath (hyperventilation), pulmonary edema, respiratory alkalosis followed by metabolic acidosis, fever/hyperthermia,...etc.

My question is: How do you get Hypoakalemia considering the metabolic acidosis? And pulmonary oedema is definitely a transudate inside your airways, starting building up in pulmonary alveoli, no link with a transudate in the pleural cavity (which is a hydrothorax)

Lactic and metabolic acidosis, DKA 371 (-ketones), HAGMA anion gap 18, but apap was less than 2, Sal. Acid less than 11. +bloody stool, cerbr. Edema. High ast 288 and alt 42...dx? Pupils fixed& dilated. 2 year old?? Any suggestions? Case 3 yrs ago...
