The Nile - On the Banks of the World's Longest River The Nile has been a witness for thousands of years to the dawn of great civilisations, whose monuments were and still astonish us with the greatness and innovation of humanity. Today, the people live between tradition and optimism with fantasy and creativity. No other river is cloaked in as much mystery as the Nile and no other river rules the surrounding countryside through which it flows quite as regally as the Nile. With opulent, magical images, our documentary presents the amazing landscapes and fascinating people that live along the river Nile. A river that conjures up all sorts of things. The Mummy, Death on the Nile, and many other famous stories in written and visual form, have taken us to the lands of the Pharaoh. #freedocumentary #nature
You forgot to mention that the Dinkas of the Sudan are the tallest humans on the globe! Also, the Nile River passes through fabled Mountains of the Moon. Please mention that too!

The Nile goes through Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Sudan, Eritrea, and Egypt we are all people of the Nile.
Really nice to see how Egyptians love the river Nile and see their daily life. what I don't understand is they all say it's dying. We Ethiopians are planting billions of trees every year so that rain became abundant. when it rains in Ethiopia, the Nile will go larger in Egypt. we (including Sudan) can use the Nile for thousands of years to come. we should abolish distrust among us and work together.
if you ever have a chance to visit, THEN DO IT! Went on a cruise down the Nile 2 yrs ago......brings a feeling of awe, humility and realizing how "insignificant" we are as individuals when looking at the bigger pic of thousands of yrs of history and culture. I really like how simple yet beautiful the area is. Those people have a great sense of community that you really don't see in first world countries. I think a simple life living in the beautiful areas around Egyptians River Nile with a good sense of community seems more stress free than living in the USA where it's all about being independent and having pressure upon pressure on one in that kind of society. I think it kind of explains why so many people go crazy and do terrible things like Chris Watts while in places like Egypt you don't hear much of that ever happening. Yes first world countries are much richer, but you also have more pressure on you from that society unlike communities near the River Nile where it's simple, yet you have more community support which seems to be much easier on a person's mental state. Just my opinion though.
I agree. In first world countries, we do have many luxuries but so much happens on a daily basis. No country is without crime of course, but this documentary does show a more peaceful way of living.
I visited all over Egypt in September 3021 for 30 days, including 3 nights on the Elephant island in a hostel own by Nubian/ Egyptian. I travel the world, my Egyptian experience was so so compared to Morocco and Turkey. The Egyptian working in tourism were pusy, aggressive, it was a turned off for me. I never saw the hostel owner in 3 days, I called her to know the details of my different tours, she didn't answer her phone. The aunt collected my money and only came in the morning. I accidentally came across a Nubian wedding took place at midnight till 5am. I made a short video on the midnight Nubian wedding posted on my RUclips channel under my profile. I had better experience on the West Luxor and Sinai Peninsula. I was able to shop peacefully without aggressive vendors on the Sinai peninsula, Sharm El-Shake and Neweiba. I gave up shopping near temples due to the aggressive vendors and demanding 3 times more prices. When tourist sign up for 5 nights Nile River Cruise, it's actually 3 nights between Aswan and Luxor fixed routes. The other 3 nights, tourist actually just spent the night on the cabin where the cruise docks! They never explained it, other tourist I met were frustrated because they felt like they were tricked. The Red Sea is still pristine and seldom feature on the media, which is actually better. Mass tourism will ruin it. If you are looking for some tranquility, spend a few nights at Sharm El-Shake and Dahab or Neweiba, it's a divers favorite, strolling on the Red Sea beaches. My hostel in Neweiba was a beach 🛖 hut. I have watched this documentary a few times, each time I saw few more details.
I took a Nile cruise in September 2021, yes during covid19 with mask in public places. It cheaper to ask local hotels to connect you to a cruise after arriving in Egypt luxor or Aswan. I paid $55/ night for 2 nights cruise all inclusive. You have to shop around or just walk into the cruise docks by the river to bargain if you have time. If someone quote you for 3 or 5 nights cruise you'll just paying for the room for additional nights while the cruise just docks by the ricer. The actual time to reach other luxor or Aswan is only 2 nights. I typically eat 2 meals/day, so the 3 meals/day + tea time was a bit much for me to digest 🙂 I highly recommend it for a pleasant cruise, it docks each day for temples visits, tickets to temples not included 😀
My Nile River Cruise was $55/night including commission for the travel agent. Don't sign up more than 2 nights because the route between Aswan and Luxor are fixed. Any additional nights are just docking by the river
This is beautiful documentary. I understand every word those men say. It reminds me of my home actually . In my country, South Sudan, there are lot of markets like that one in which cattle are sold. The animals market are always noisy because some men try to take advantage of each other.
What I learned from video is that people from the Nile are working for their family to have money and they have markets there. People somehow in Africa are doing their jobs and planting fruits and vegetables outside their houses and wanted to show people some respect on they've done it. Hot air balloons were good on flying transportation from the land to the sky. People learned to cook bread and fishing on the lake for fish to eat and they like to paint pictures for their creations that they made. All of us sometimes we do things wrong and do things right with respect as we keep on doing things productive and learning our knowledge to encourage our skills and to develop our strength to the environment so that we could keep our country clean and our personal developments.
This was very good, thank you for posting. It's so good to see a perspective of places from the people who live there and not just tourist views. So interesting and a good variety of different personal aspects. ... But that black Cobra, .. made me squirm in my seat. Cheers.
So wonderful...so wonderful...a thrilling and interesting lesson on various facets of life along the magnanimous Nile...Wishing those brave women folk on bikes the Very Best...May their tribe increase...& the men to become more open minded and inclusive...Lovely commentary...Cheers...🥂
There was a political conflict between Egypt and ethiopia when corrupt Egyptian politicians threatened to block the river flow and minimize the amount of water that'll flow through sudan and ethiopia. Alot of villages in those 2 countries n also some villages from their country suffered water shortages which reduced the farming industry
Really enjoyable documentary. Your documentaries show us that there is a force not wanting us to see the truth about how amazing people of the world truly are,
Colonial forces, obviously, among others. Helps them to maintain their colonial dominance and thus cheap access to natural resources.
