- Hey guys.
Today I'm melting my collection of spade connectors or flat plugs.
The finished result was very nice, although I was a little skeptical when I pulled the ingots out of the water after cooling, It wasn't a very nice color they had got.

Did you learn to put cardboard on the bottom from BigStackD? Lol. If not, we'll you n he think alike. Or maybe he got it from you. Lol😅
Most of what I know about melting metals I learned from BigStackD, He is also the one who inspired me to make videos. But for the last 20 years I have worked with copper and other scrap metal
You should try adding borax as a flux in the molten state.
Nice you just scored yourself 6$ Hope it took you 15 mins. Otherwise I'd say your labor is pretty cheap. hahhaa
Yes I know it. But as a hobby and you have the choice between making no money or a little bit of money.
I've scrapped a lot of things that didn't pay off, but I just wanted the copper
@@UrbanCopperHunter Yeah i'm just messing the value of having an ingot on hand is priceless, keep up the great work and content!❤
Please, do yourself a favor wear gloves!
Thanks Mate, I will remember it
Those connectors are tinned and tin is $20lb
