Plains biome, there’s a lot of flat land to build on
Mountains mountains and more mountains. Jagged peaks with flower forest or meadow provides the most beautiful backdrop for any base.
I love the location for the new base. Sounds like a good time to use the nether to travel such a long distance.

You should build a trophy hall/map room early near the cherry chateau so you can do day1 and last day comparisons

That spot is THE vibe. And you should totally build a bridge or two across the fjord and have a pathway down there for a couple builds. Maybe put them in the side of the hill. I can’t wait to see how you construct the next base. Another idea, you should build Terry’s brother Larry’s skull on the side of a cliff (maybe the fjord wall) and again, have your nether portal in there!
Sounds like an end raiding episode coming. Shulker Boxes would be helpful for the move.
My fav best base bioms is either the jungle/bamboo forest (i like pandas) or a desert base. Fun fact the jungle guide season 3 base was what got me into playing Minecraft.

I found out about Wattles during his Jungle base. I fell in love with that world so I may be basis about any other world! ❤😅
So far my favorite spot to build a base is in a winter forest. I like it when it snows and the leaves turn all white. I live in a tropical country so I'd like to experience winter wonderland even if it's just thru a game.

1000% best place to start a base, if it was my particular world I would think about bridging over to the other mountains/hills and building over the fjords. Good stuff sir see ya in the next one

Hey wattles I know you are gonna go for the cozy cottage kinda vibe for the new base, you should base the cabin off of ski resort lodges irl, with a huge cozy common room or smth… idk, I think that would be sick, maybe even add a skii lift build next to it 🤷♂️

I always like to base build where two or more biomes meet. I often change the trees growing in the area and it's nice to have different grass colors.
Terraformed mushroom island is really cool, it got jungle colors and no mobs (exept phantoms) so you don't *have* to lit everything, I also like the terrain generation there, and you can expend on the ocean for really big buids
(well I personally tend to make underground bases, once I build a small castel/fort on the middle of a big frozen river, and a round tower pierced the ice so a staircase could lead into the real base, I liked the vibe)
I remember when you created a desert city for villagers...
I always wanted you to create a dwarvish / devilish underground city for villagers and piglins!

one thing we take forgranted about wattles is how honest he is, unlike other youtubers, he's never posted clickbait or tried to get more subs by competing with anyone(not that that competing on social media is bad, but i gotta admire him running his own race :). and not to mention how nostalgic he is for me

You may wish to build Iron farms and such back in your spawn chunks were they can work 24/7, and build the other farms which do not need to be in spawn chunks near your new base. Then use the Iron to build a diagonal piston rail in the Nether to travel quickly between the two.
0:30 shouting out the jungle base which was your best one imo. All were great, but that one was something special. It all matched great and there were so many memorable builds. I believe you can surpass it tho!

I love building in the desert. Sandstone, red sandstone, acacia, terracotta, mangrove, bricks, mud, all great building materials for it
I really like to build in mountains. I like to build where the mountains have shear faces, or nearly so, and are close together. That way I can build bridges between them. I love to make hobbit holes or dwarven mountain holds. There has to be nearby resources though or I will pass it by. My actual current world, my base is in a Cherrywood forest that has 2 villages in front of me and one behind the hill from me. There is a river separating the front villages. Nearby is a Lush Cave that goes down really deep. I'm going to make my home in the Modern Style - whites and pinks with lots of open space enclosed in glass.

You should try to do a Minecraft guide series that has a base in the deep dark since not only will it be challenging but it will also be fun due to it being underground and have limited resources. Plus you’d have to survive the Warden lol

I love the base location but I definitely think that you should build bridges across the huge canyon/ fjords and build on the other side too. I think that would be so crisp
I have an oakcherry tree in my current base which is in a meadow biome, awesome place for ores and theres a very ez trick for early game food. Pointed out by my kid.
I got an amazing seed once cave update came out, with an enormous cave in a massive cliff overlooking an ocean, absolutely beautiful coastline. And a village just slightly down the coast. Built my base in that cave, nothing else compared since. ALSO AN ANCIENT CITY GENERATED LITERALLY UNDER IT with the next update.
I think this base location is awesome!

My favorite base I have is in the snow but an update change everything to it having a desert, a jungle as neighbors to it. Also love my ocean one, I’m still new to Minecraft it was my first monument I took over.

The Mushroom island has my favorite grass color when you put grass there.
Nothing beats the unchangeables of the Mushroom Fields. They are a slight improvement over Jungle. At least they are on Java. They look awesome when grassed over and do not need to be covered in torches to be safe at night. Their safety and general flatness tends to make them very suitable for player-made towns. I have been wanting to do a Mario Kart themed blue ice track, but have not gotten around to it yet.

It might be a good idea to spend a little bit of time gathering shulker shells, just to make it a tiny bit easier and quicker to transport resources to your new base. Great choice by the way!
Windswept Hills is my favorite biome to build a base in. Lots of coal, iron, and stone. I like to build my base right into the side of a cliff; preferably with a side facing a body of deep water.

Build idea: what if you made a huge lake next to your cabin. Imagine how awesome it would look with the cherry trees hanging over it and the mountain in the background!
When I find my new base (Home Sweet Home), one of the first things I do is set up a netherportal so I can make a fast way back to spawn
I found a plains village that spawned in a large sparse jungle with a huge coastal beach. I got the best grass block without a ton of trees to chop down.

Please dig out the dirt by the berry farm bridge to make a little watterfall. It'll make the water wheel in the potion brewery feel much more in place

I wanted to find a valley in between two mountains hopefully cherry biome, settled in the tiniest biome then when exploring found exactly what I was looking for 1000 blocks out. Immediately moved all my stuff over
Fun fact, I only found out about not too long ago impaling five on a trident doesn’t actually only deal more damage to aquatic mobs it deals more damage to mobs that are in or under water
Ive got two cherry biomes relatively close to each other, with a village inside one of them. Lots of cave networks, and a small ocean.
Currently im trying to plant enough cherry trees to connect the two biomes, and live in a cherry wood cabin in the middle somewhere.
(But far far away from the villagers. Theyre useful, but can get annoying)

My favourite biome is plains. Can do versatile builds cuz all the other biomes' surrounding limit my palette. If I have to pick one of the limited ones that'd be desert because I like recreating the end of hte neolithic era advancing towards the bronze age.
