Parents want a bright, intelligent, caring, trust-worthy person who they can pay nothing for. If you want your kids to be cared for well, pay for it. It's just like anything else. You get what you pay for.
I was a full time nanny for two children in Ireland, The conditions were terrific, lovely children, great parents, cleaners and week ends and evenings off. The pay was excellent. I knew some au pairs, who worked all hours, much harder than me for a pittance. Kids, cooking, cleaning the lot. It is pure exploitation.
Please take care of my 3 boys, ages 8, 4 and 2. Make surebthey are happy, occupied , cook simple healthy meals, no opening of canned food, do" light" housework etc etc . All for a very modest amount of money, little private/downtime. Lots of responsibilities, few rights, what on earth can go wrong? I did this work once eons ago. Only one family paid fairly, did not blur the lines between private time and work hours, were nice and friendly, the kids were marvelous. They were the exception. The other 3 families were awful; one family had 5 kids, a part-time foster kid as well, so Monday thru Friday 6 kids, one of whom was a one yr old baby. Ever tried ironing a huge stack of clothes while watching a baby crawl around on the floor and who tries to pull the cord on the hot iron???? Mom said baby needs freedom to crawl around and can't be in the playpen all the time. Baby must be happy, occupied and taken care of and huge stack of laundry must be ironed perfectly simultaneously. That was just one of the many duties performed for a pittance. I fled the house when I had time off because if you are still present in the home, despite it being your free timr, you can babysit, clean, do laundry., go shopping, cook.... 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Cheapskate families who take advantage of au pairs!!
My boss hired a more mature female from Trinidad. She was hired after their first born, and that women practically raised their two children until the kids were teenagers. Sometimes she was an over nighter, and she was off on weekends because she was married and had her own family. He also hired a 2nd full time Nanny from Croatia. The deal with the younger Nanny, was that they would pay for her college education. They sponsored her to stay here in the US. They had a bit of issues with the younger nanny because she fell in love with someone that wasn't approved by the father in the household. She too was with the baby's for a long time, and the children grew fond of her too. A lot of emotional issues develop with the children as well, because these females become a 2nd parent. The good thing in my bosses situation is that they were still very active in their children's lives, and although the Nanny's were a big part of the child's daily routines, so were the parents. Maybe this combination helps keep an eye on things.
Yes. If you want all those perfect qualities, you'd have to hire a trained nanny or just get very, _Very_ lucky. Three boys at that age will be a HUGE handful. ... then she leaves the wrong keys🙄
It's NOT the Au Pairs that are dangerous ... It's the hellbent parents, especially Claire, who is a guilt-ridden mother who finds fault in the simplest of things even a walk to the beach!! As for Poppy's mother ... Get real, Madam. You are full of it. The strange, odd mother that lives away from her children has no basis for fear. I think all of the Au Pairs are absolutely wonderful, actually. They deserve all the sympathy.
That's just it. They don't want to pay for their expectations. They want a 18th maid who does everything & no rights. And not have to pay this person properly.
I was a nanny, got well paid and worked for terrific families, was always respected by the children and parents alike. I always felt sorry for the way the au pairs were exploited in England and Ireland. I never did cleaning, dog walking, shopping or such like. My job was solely the care and entertainment of the children, and I had mostly a free rein...I loved all of my jobs. If after a week in, I realised the job was not for me, I left.
Poor Tab the American lady 😮 keeping that place tidy 😂 with a man child husband, off grid kids and a resentful wife poor woman must have thought she was in a trailer park with that lot. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
We had an au-pair when I was a kid. My mum was a single mum who was working as a skin instructor and she started her day early and was home by 6 ish. I was a single child, well behaved sporty and creative. We lived in a small village in the French alps and my au-pair was a young Swedish guy. He was great and we did loads of playful activities. My mum treated him well, he had his two days off, wasn’t asked to clean just to pick me up from school, bring me there in the morning, he was able to ski during the day and he was very good. I will always remember him and my mum and him remained friends afterwards. He came to visit a few times after whilst he was at uni. He eventually got married and had kids of his own and him and his family came to visit my mum a few times during winter holidays. Some experiences are great!
I think I have ptsd from my jobs as a carer. If you are thinking of doing this, go through an agency. Only go for the best positions that pay the most. Have every task and expectation in writing. Don’t stay in the house during your time off- go to a library or cafe if you need to. Here are some of the things one employer expected in addition to minding the children: Cooking, shopping for groceries, kitchen clean up, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, keeping the bird feeders filled, picking up dog crap in the yard, changing sheets on beds, laundry every day, walking the dog early every morning, putting toys away , sweeping front steps, sorting mail, and helping with the Etsy business. Yeah- no thanks. Better idea: teach yourself to cook and bake. Get hired as a private chef. My friend makes over $100k. She learns recipes from the internet. The grocery budget is infinite. Sometimes she just packs a picnic basket for them. She gets flown all over to the other houses they own. Have vegan and vegetarian and carnivore options. Lots more respect from your employers. Set boundaries.
If YOU can't raise your kids, DON'T HAVE THEM!!!! PERIOD. It's a purely selfish decision....ask a kid how they feel about being raised by a stranger, or if they'd rather their parents DO THEIR JOB, and the answer will always be the same, GUARANTEED. I WANT my PARENTS. Kids aren't a status symbol, child rearing is serious business and if you aren't stable enough to DO YOUR job, you have no business having kids. These are the people turning out resentful, nasty, often dangerous BRATS into the world (as is evidenced by the behavior of the kids in this doc) because children (to them) are simply another status symbol. Sometimes you just have to admit that you CAN'T HAVE EVERYTHING in life.
@@TheSapphireSprit THEY might be better off, but the kids definitely will not be. That's what is so sad about people who pay strangers to raise their children..the kids are the ones who pay for it in the end. So does society, ultimately, in many cases.
@@DivinityBleu I certainly understand but if these parents are so checked out and refuse to change their ways the kids might actually benefit by being with someone who uplifts them. I was abused as a child and the people that actually paid me some attention have a huge part of my heart. I don’t think I would have survived without them.
In the childcare field, it’s widely known that aupairs are commonly taken advantage of by the families who hire them. Because they live in the homes of the families, the lines between their working hours and off hours get blurry. I know many aupairs that are expected to not only raise these people’s children, but also do a lot of the housekeeping and family errands. They are notoriously under paid because they get “free housing”. This video confirms at how entitled and difficult some of these families are.
@@carerschoice it's not only that, they go beyond what 'aupair' means.most of them has no clue what Aupair means, that's why they ruined the Aupair programme. Aupair visa issued by British embassies for young females between 19-27, who wants to learn /practice English. This allows them to live with families, taking care of kids, cooking, doing light household chores. Families responsible for aupair s to attend language school which is indicated on visa definition. If its done with proper agencies, there is a contract for both parties to sign. So this is it nothing more than that, I felt sorry about that Brazilian girl having to do task including dog walking!! That woman can surely afford a dog walker instead of using aupair. And insulting her to have watch! Appalling
@@sem7073 As a live in carer to a client with complex care needs we had to cook ( for him) do physio therapy, wash and shower him dress him, keep him occupied and take him out and do all personal care and give meds…. For the parents we Looked after cats when they went away, cleaned cat litter tray, load/empty dish washer, do family washing and dry and fold to put away, clean kitchen and his bedroom take stock of meds, change beds and tidy up after parents! All the while they have cameras watching all areas! I can only imagine some of the liberties these ‘parents’ take. 🤬🤬
Three different personalities. The best was the Texan girl she just went with the flow similar personality to the man. Chilled and fun to be around. The Brazilian and the Turkish girls missed their families. They would have fitted in better with the man.
@@TheMegahusky to be honest with you, it was more pressure than the missing their families. That woman keep reminding the time, asking her why she doesn't wear watch?? To me, that is insulting and appaling treatment. Why is she getting her to walk the dog? She should have got a cleaner and the a dog walker separately if she can afford, of course.
@@sem7073 I agree. And she was only showing off. And her daughter had somewhat similar traits to her mother. The Texas girl was fairly used to the rough and ready and the jealous ex-wife. She (x) could have at least helped with the tidy up.🧹 She expected the au pair to do it.
The Au Pair could be absolutely perfect. If you're anxious, do a background check. Install survelliance cameras in the home (please inform potential prospects that they will be indeed on camera). Be smart. But never trust ANY stranger with your child. Never.
@@sem7073-- Au pairs are usually like a Maid and a Babysitter all in one and it is pretty common to be asked to do some household chores when the kids are either napping/daycare/school etc
Gemma is jealous and highly insecure! These people should go with an Agency and Pay More then if they have nothing but complaints and demands of the Au-Pairs!
Yes Gemma it's better......but for you not the children. You can always just walk away and run back to your little nest when the going gets rough. Gemma seems totally spoiled and doesn't want the responsibility of being a mother. Sad.
How many kids did they have? 10 aupair sounds like a high level of turnover. It seems the "love" wasn't mutual... 🤔 Not to mention those poor kids, how many people did they have in their short life to look after them? What a mess! I guess you thought your comment will be positive...? 🙄
This is insanity! Just inviting complete strangers...two of whom struggle with English...without checking references, no police checks, no qualifications or degrees in childcare, just so they can can continue the life they want to have with absolutely no regard for their young children and their saftey and wellbeing. These are the most precious things in their lives and should be being treated as such. Unreal!
aww I felt sorry for the turkish girl ..she missed her home and country so much .and the other two were just waiting for the next move forward ..so tough when you are in a differnt country and educated yourself but having to deal with that terrible class system .
The Turkish girl was as much out of place here as her vain attempts at au pairing. An educated, bank employee like her ought to find better ways of learning the language in a foreign country.
You chose to have these children, take a parent responsibility, your life needs to work around your child/children not the other way around. Step Up for once and organize! It's not all about you now.
My daughter worked for various English families doing the Nanny job. She said they paid very little and expected not only looking after the child or children, house cleaning cooking, walking the bull dog and cleaning his mess. Slave labour she said
She was not a trained, experienced and qualified nanny then. I never did any of those things and I loved the jobs I had. Very good salary as well and the family car at week-ends for my own use.
Yea they were salts of the earth…. At least Tab felt comfortable tho which is more than can be said for the other two and you can hardly blame them, pretty hostile environment.
That was my family on TV😂 - The one with Tabs - She was a great babysitter for Me and Caprice - People in the comments are too judgmental😂 Had a great childhood❤️
She was the only one who didn't appear homesick. She was traveling and excited to be abroad. The Brazilian and Turkish women were totally homesick the entire time.
I cannot say about Gemma what I want to say, because it's too impolite. Just: if you don't want to take on the responsibility of bringing up your kids - don't get any ! What a bad mother.
Interesting.. she didn't trust the Texas girl and she turned out to be the best...very sensible and smart... The kids liked her also. The other 2 was crying and one was fed up. Go Texas! She fit in nicely.
I know low price is the reason foreign au pairs are used but what a warped scence of priorities these parents have. The Turkish girl taking out the boys no buggy, no water or snacks to see the beach that she missed. Does she know even the basics of child care. What about first aid? Could she cope and articulate in an emergency ringing emergency services. Would the parents send their car to an unqualified mechanic? I doubt it but their kids are cared by nice but not very competent young women.
I hope these young women get paid well. I very much doubt it. I think most people are used to seeing teenagers being put into these roles. I remember people having 17 year old au pairs. This whole sector is badly regulated and many young women get mistreated when they take these types of jobs.
| was thinking the same exact thing! She just had no idea of what little one's especially could do physically and how tired they get. That they need naps and downtime.
Yeah well obv she never had prior experience. Not end of the world. Sheeould learn to leave the house with drinks, snacks, sandwiches A kids wagon is great too thats how i gof around wirh jo car in fireign country with kids who get tired
I am sorry to say, but if Gilly would be serious about her work or the future of her children she would hire a professional nanny. We have the Bavarian International School in my village and the kids are in good hands with professionals before pre-school.
@@fredjennings5766 Happy you were happy. I was raised like that and it was a nightmare. But I am sincerely happy that you are made of different stock, and pleased for you and take you at your word that for you it wsa a healthy life. My apologies; I only speak from my own experience. All the best!
7:31 : It might be true, but it wasn't a great thing to say in front of the kids even if they don't totally understand. Kids pick up on stuff like that and then can go through life with a lot of guilt. And I would worry less if she'll be okay with the kids than if she'd be okay with the husband. Just a vibe when he came in and picked on his wife in front of her.
Come on… stranger in your home? Met several and heard the most bizarre stories: 1) one of them raised the family's kids alone because the parents were always stoned. There was also a maid and a cook working full-time. They paid well and she stayed for several years. 2) another one had to run errands non-stop and got her own car: picking up dry-cleaning, grocery shopping, dropping the kids off at school, ballet, piano, etc. She had to pay the gas of that car with her own money. She was told if she didn't agree she could pack and leave. She didn't. 3) another one worked for a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 toddlers and a NB) who saved wherever they could. According to her 1 chicken lasted the entire week for the entire family. She spent all her money getting food outside the house. I feel for au pairs who have to stay.
It's a two way street. The au pair doesn't know who the family is either. I saw a video about a Brazilian au pair who worked for a family in the US. A few days into the job she had complained to her mom over the phone that the kids' father was making passes at her. She ended up hung from a leather belt inside a closet in her room. Her employers told the police she had committed suicide which in my opinion was BS. She had just registered to go to night school and was looking forward to mastering her English. She was for sure unalived by that man for refusing his advances. The American police did nothing about it.
It's true, the au pairs don't know how it's going to work out with a new family. There was a terrible case in the UK where the couple held the woman as a prisoner. I think she was French and she written to her mother asking for the fare home but her mother couldn't afford to send it. They murdered her in the end and tried to burn the body for days in their garden.
The one who took the kid walking down to the shore, without a bag of necessary things was noooot a good one. You cannot leave the house with nothing but the kids like that,
This is years old, au pairs are just cheap child care. I was an au pair 30 odd years ago in Italy. It was okay looked after a little girl of 4 and two boys of 18 months and 4. They liked me because I did a lot of cleaning. I often wonder what happened to them , they would nearly 40 years old now. I had my baby at 42 and I would never had left her with an au pair. I was 28 when I did it. I felt sorry for the little girl her parents were divorced and the mum lived with her boyfriend who was 17 years older. Hope she had a happy life
The au pairs are both so pretty. Just learning English in this situation would be so hard. The Mother had a very strong accent to me. Oh, I see there are several.
I is very difficult having a stranger living in your home. I wouldn’t do it again. Brought my children up but gave a needy, relative stranger free room and board in my house for a year. I got ill and needed help but she was off like a bullet. There are givers and takers in this world. Don’t indulge ‘victims!.I now have a delightful lady who comes in daily and that works well.
An au pair is not a pa An au pair is there to help with family life by helping look after your children aid with education homework and making sure they are fed They’re not you cleanse your dog walker or your personal assistant I hate women like this woman She’s exactly why I quit and I loved my job with other families She was absolutely insane Accused me constantly of having affairs Demanded I spent time with her children but then got jealous when they liked me a tiny bit Would constantly undermine me then wonder why her kids didn’t listen to anybody Belittled her husband at every opportunity She fired me twice in a fit of temper because she asked me to take the children swimming then when we came back was angry that I had not washed their swimming costume ( not sure how I was meant to do that going to and from the swimming pool to the ballet class then straight home but ok then 😂😂😂
Please get off the phone when driving! And keep both hands on the steering wheel or your children won't have a dad or someone else will loose there life!
I dunno what the exact process was in the families portrayed but it seems not to make sense to me. As a guy, I was au pair once a very long time ago. Personally I made use of an organisation for au pairs. First of, they screen people, both families and au pairs and what I found important they also have the legal support which cn be needed. Many people think that the families need protection, and yes this might be true but the same applies to the au pair. And besides that matching needs is also important, for me I said I do not want to deal with children younger as 5 years of age. The reason being, or mainly at least, that there were many problems in that time with babies dying by wrongful treatment either by the family or the au pairs. And the legal support is a huge thing, because parents will believe their children and if they spread certain lies ones life can be over. (Not saying every child lies, just that trust can be or become an issue.)
My mother was luke the turkish au pair. Dragging ne through bkuebell wokds fields and across the cumbrian hills. Often we git hungry..crued...missed buses...but i look back and it was the most valuable part of my life.s learning. The older boy said...jaden.s fine. He was really...just tired. Back in the 60.s people often invited us in fir tea samwiches and helped us. It was an education. Sadly the bognor people though friendly didnt give them a kift some samwiches and a bottle of pop. How times have changed.😅
that poor husband married to that woman Claire who has boys and she wants to go to Uni - why have them if you wanted to be a nurse - disgusting + she didn't even involve him in the selection of the au pair
It’s very hard and overwhelming staying at home with children. Unless you do it you never quite understand but she doesn’t seem very nice. I can’t imagine her as a nurse actually 😬
I sense that relationship wasnt good. She may wwll gave been awtting it up to get her own income before leaving. Whixh is super important aa a single parent
It is not 'disgusting' to want to continue your education when you have children! Why should she not? She is still a person, and it's good for her children to understand that their mother has goals.
Wait...the first woman wanted a substitute? 😅 Why the heck you have kids tho? Honestly...if you are going let your children begin entirely risen by an au-pair or nanny, do me a favor: don't make kids!! They aren't just an object to exhibit to the world!
So? Where does it say it's recent? Just bcs it's uploaded by a certain date- dosen't make it the same as when something was FIRST aired or made. And just bcs something is uploaded by a channel, DOES not mean that that video is their own made content. Ever heard of Google, were you can look things up really easily for free.
Why do au pairs need to be young? I knew all the 3 au pairs in this video wouldn’t last long cos they r young & have aspirations. If they looked for older middle aged women from their 40 to 50 who can still keep up with active kids their chances of staying around would be longer
Brigitte L Jones. Poppy's mother while appearing demanding, had realistic demands for a pleasant single school aged child. There were written instructions and verbal things explained. This mother knew she best make it work for what she'd pay. The girl from Texas could adapt to to the wild Dad and his boys, so that was a lucky coincidence. The trainee nurse had 3 boys you could only ask grandparents or family to put up with or a very expensive professional nanny. Trainee nurse knew that with what she could pay she had to work with what she got.
I went to au pair in China, many families only had me one month because they did not like me, this was crazy since I am extremely well behaved and responsible, they wanted someone who was 24/7 obsessed with a kid and silly with them, and I wasn't going to be those two things for their little emperors. One family I stayed my full visa with, were caring and one hour a day was happy negotiated perfect for them.
I was an au pair in Usa..i had a great time.I loved those two girls.I can admit that beeing young in a foreign country was hard but i loved those firl and rhe parents were grar to me
Needed an Au pair, ( many many years ago, ) only ever used an agency, they were all vetted and checked before they went on the books. Saved time and you usually got what you asked for. But you pay their real worth. I had an Australian girl she was so good. We actually ended up moving to Australia in 1981. 😊😊😊.Not because of the Aur Pair😅, for work. 😊
Interviewing a potential nanny while you both drink wine🧐 choosing a nanny based on their zodiac sign😂 driving around with no seat belt on while talking on the cell phone, and child in back seat with no seat belt on😥nanny with her thong underwear hanging out for the dad to observe😱,and omg the nanny is walking at least 20 mins one way with a 2 yr old, cleans his cut knee with a leaf, what is she thinking? 2 yr olds can’t handle a full walk like that😨 no diaper bag or water bottle on this walk😡baby sound asleep in stroller, no hat in the bright sunshine….turn the stroller so child is shaded! And did the mom seriously give Poppy champagne? Tab from Texas was lovely. This was a crazy video to watch! Tab and Poppy from different households were a joy to watch. It was a bit stressful observing all of this. Hope all the kids are well❤️
I _Cannot_ get over Claire. How can she really expect a laundry list of perfection? Claire, stay home and raise your kids if you're so freaked out or pay for an expert. I just love the way Jill wants to 'economize'. If she wants things done specifically, at certain times, _Write Out A Damn Schedule!_ God! Anna is very young, in a foreign country. Give her a break! They all want the world and I bet they're not paying that well. Andrew seems easy going and got the luck of the draw! Tab is wonderful! I would've hired her when my boys were young. (they're 30, 32 now 😊 lol)
Brigitte L Jones. I wish more young women from good career paths from Turkey would realise doing some great online courses in English would be a far better idea for them than being an agency au pair. Child care is very costly and most kids are fine with what their parents are settling for realistically.
Walking longer distances are no problem for small kids. They will simply stop in the middle of the road when they are done. What I don't like at all that none of the mothers train their au pairs that children need to DRINK. There is NO leaving his house without at least one thermosflask of herbal tea, better 2 litres of drink ... !
An au pair is not a cook. Cereal and milk for breakfast. Samwiches for lunch. Tescos do amazing ready meals....idve jeot the good au pair and given her a bag of 7 ready meals every sunday. After a pub lunch. Problem solved😅
As much as this this true for "any" baby sitter, this might give au pairs a bad name, and a scare. We need to be careful with "anyone" around our children. An uncle or young teenage relative, or boyfriend, can be a potential pedophile. Such a scary and dangerous situation, when it comes to protecting our vulnerable young children.
The Turkish Au Pair was a no no. When first meeting mom, "what do you like to drink", au pair "wine and scotch". Seriously!!!! Hardly understands English, takes the children for a veeeeery long walk with no refreshments, little one should have been in his push pram. When she found out how far the beach was she should have gone back home and prepared for the next day. As for dear Anne, from Brazil, poor girl was so badly treated. Even picking up doggy poops. Nope, not happening. Patronising mom, I would have shown her what she could do with the apron and dishcloth. As for the amount of housework the au pair from America had to do. blew my mind. Even if she was a maid/housekeeper without looking after the children it would have been to much. She was excellent in every way but badly taken advantage of. So this was in the UK right, the parents are English, right!! Perhaps they need to look at their dictionaries for the definition of an au pair. I was shocked at what I saw.
The danger to Au Pairs when hied by unprofessional employee parents 😂,no funny. Mother should realise balance and harmony with the au pair brings respect crom children too. Seriously mentally and emotionally immature woman

Here are some of the things one employer expected in addition to minding the children:
Cooking, shopping for groceries, kitchen clean up, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, keeping the bird feeders filled, picking up dog crap in the yard, changing sheets on beds, laundry every day, walking the dog early every morning, putting toys away , sweeping front steps, sorting mail, and helping with the Etsy business.
I'd walk out the first fuckn day !!!! They had the bloody kids look afyer them yourselves!! 😊
Now that they’ve had the children they may be better off with an Au Pair.
The child care too expensive in UK, therefore they have created his aupair programme.
I agree while the parents earn top end money they pay peanuts 🤬.
For the parents we
Looked after cats when they went away, cleaned cat litter tray, load/empty dish washer, do family washing and dry and fold to put away, clean kitchen and his bedroom take stock of meds, change beds and tidy up after parents! All the while they have cameras watching all areas!
I can only imagine some of the liberties these ‘parents’ take. 🤬🤬
The posh woman is just a pretentious cow! Entitled narcissist.
Don’t have kids then 🙄
Stupid people have lots of kids.
Poppis mother treats Anna like a slave such nervous mother horrible.demanding woman.
Not only that, she is teaching Poppy how to treat people.
What dangers? The au pairs seem lovely. It's the parents that seem a bit odd. Poppy's mother appears so overwhelmed.
I'm already shrinking from this. Working relationships take time. The person isn't going to know how to do everything.
Gemma is jealous and highly insecure! These people should go with an Agency and Pay More then if they have nothing but complaints and demands of the Au-Pairs!
Her whole demeanor is arrogant empty head, perfect for her job.
I agree with everything you said!
That poor kid named after Bart Simpson 😮
Yes Gemma it's better......but for you not the children. You can always just walk away and run back to your little nest when the going gets rough. Gemma seems totally spoiled and doesn't want the responsibility of being a mother. Sad.
I don’t think she’s got very good mental health tbh.
Parents acting like it's them who are in danger..
Taberge is someone ill want around my children . Shes awesome with the kids 😍
100% agree. Lovely girl
Mum - where are you from?
Au pair - Texas
M - Texas, Massachusetts?
AP - 😐 Dallas, Texas
These parents are weird af.
I was an au pair for a few years, but never in such chaotic houses.😮
Parents of these children are a disgrace , soooo judgemental ..smh 🤬
They want a 18th century maid, and with the same pay..
I was an aupair. I was the 10th aupair for the family and they loved every single one of us. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!
How many kids did they have? 10 aupair sounds like a high level of turnover. It seems the "love" wasn't mutual... 🤔
Not to mention those poor kids, how many people did they have in their short life to look after them? What a mess!
I guess you thought your comment will be positive...? 🙄
@@verabolton LOL...Agreed!
Really....10 different people in the kids life...no consistency.
Should be retitled The Dangers of Parents Who Hire Au Pairs.
Looool they did call it that, I think they changed it.
The danger To Au Pairs when hired by unprofessional Parents 😂, not funny
The richer they are, the more they take advantage of you as though you were their servant. Been there done that! 😅
Poor American girl sorry to say just my opinion but what a weird couple of parents 🤪
Yeah both are weird
Yea they were salts of the earth…. At least Tab felt comfortable tho which is more than can be said for the other two and you can hardly blame them, pretty hostile environment.
Honestly 😶😶😶😶😶😶🤣😂🤣😂🤣we live in an amazing world! Bless all those who were in the film and bless all of you who watched! 1❤
That was my family on TV😂 - The one with Tabs - She was a great babysitter for Me and Caprice - People in the comments are too judgmental😂 Had a great childhood❤️
Heaven knows why Claire ever had children. They just seem a pain to her and not important.
It shows in their behavior.
I think their marriage was a bit shaky and she was planning a way out perhaps?
Taberge is my favourite.
She was the only one who didn't appear homesick. She was traveling and excited to be abroad. The Brazilian and Turkish women were totally homesick the entire time.
mine too! A natural!
I cannot say about Gemma what I want to say, because it's too impolite.
Just: if you don't want to take on the responsibility of bringing up your kids - don't get any !
What a bad mother.
Gemma and Andrew are slightly terrifying…
Totally!
This woman doesn’t want her children
Simple as that
They are an inconvenience
She walked the crap out of those children. It was way too much. But poor girl didn't know.
| was thinking the same exact thing! She just had no idea of what little one's especially could do physically and how tired they get. That they need naps and downtime.
Yeah well obv she never had prior experience. Not end of the world.
Sheeould learn to leave the house with drinks, snacks, sandwiches
A kids wagon is great too thats how i gof around wirh jo car in fireign country with kids who get tired
Andrew and Gemma are weird . Why isn't Gemma looking after her own kids . I think she emma is a lil bit slow .very strange lady
Poor girl didn’t know how far it was to the beach and she hadn’t been told about the buggy
This video is old the poor aupairs these days are so Ill treated it’s scary
I am sorry to say, but if Gilly would be serious about her work or the future of her children she would hire a professional nanny.
We have the Bavarian International School in my village and the kids are in good hands with professionals before pre-school.
I feel so bad for Tabrege. That household is sheer Madness.
Was a fun household, loved Tabs as a babysitter - I should know, I was the kid on TV - So judgemental😂
Poppis nothers a control freak she would not havw kept a nanny
Come on… stranger in your home? Met several and heard the most bizarre stories:
1) one of them raised the family's kids alone because the parents were always stoned.
I'd rather have a maid and cook, this way I could spend more time with my kids❤
@@flowerjpotter1629 I've read about this case 😢
@@flowerjpotter1629 Yes I remember the case. They were not English though but foreigners living in UK.
The one who took the kid walking down to the shore, without a bag of necessary things was noooot a good one. You cannot leave the house with nothing but the kids like that,
only thinking of herself not the kids, no buggy, no drinks NO COP ON!
Yea that was crazy
English children cannot walk?????
Tebre has to be like, I left the US for this??
An au pair is not a pa
An au pair is there to help with family life by helping look after your children aid with education homework and making sure they are fed
They’re not you cleanse your dog walker or your personal assistant
I hate women like this woman
She’s exactly why I quit and I loved my job with other families
She was absolutely insane
Accused me constantly of having affairs
Demanded I spent time with her children but then got jealous when they liked me a tiny bit
Would constantly undermine me then wonder why her kids didn’t listen to anybody
Belittled her husband at every opportunity
She fired me twice in a fit of temper because she asked me to take the children swimming then when we came back was angry that I had not washed their swimming costume ( not sure how I was meant to do that going to and from the swimming pool to the ballet class then straight home but ok then
😂😂😂
Jenne or whatever her name is feel threatened by the beauty of the lovely au pair.
Please get off the phone when driving! And keep both hands on the steering wheel or your children won't have a dad or someone else will loose there life!
JD, wine & tequila ? Wow she's no lightweight. Hopefully that's well outside working hours 😂😂😂
Well done to these Au Pairs who lasted the time they did
Look after your own kids then
I wish tab could be my au pair… not for my kids, just me. She seems like she’d be a fun chill friend to hang out with 🙂
This is an old video. Did anyone catch how old that flip phone was...
I still have one and sometimes still used it when in a rush.....
Aww little poppy is 🥰
I wouldn't trust anyone with my son. Oh hellll nooo
Parents are now afraid to parent their own children.Sad.
Poppy is obnoxious, she's never been told no
I dunno what the exact process was in the families portrayed but it seems not to make sense to me.
The beautiful Brazilian girl saw right away that the woman of the house wanted someone that doesn't exist.
She doesn't seem to like her children very much, does she?
wonder if she is still with the husband!!
They aren't just an object to exhibit to the world!
this is over 20 years old !!
It's a free of charge documentary, that they waited until it hit Common share rights.....it's not going to be fresh content as a free television show.
Can tell by their mobile phones 😂😂😂
Crikey! The safety officer throwing accelerant onto dry twigs with his kids close to the fire 😳
The single dad has no routine and his house is quite dirty
Sorry if I was an au pair I wouldn’t wanna stay there.
This is old. Wonder where they are now?
Same
I went to au pair in China, many families only had me one month because they did not like me, this was crazy since I am extremely well behaved and responsible, they wanted someone who was 24/7 obsessed with a kid and silly with them, and I wasn't going to be those two things for their little emperors.
Damn she acted like the au pair had 💩 on her hands the way she shook her hands n looked at them..🤷
I used to be an au pair , had many great experiences and some not so great!
Brigitte L Jones. I wish more young women from good career paths from Turkey would realise doing some great online courses in English would be a far better idea for them than being an agency au pair. Child care is very costly and most kids are fine with what their parents are settling for realistically.
Very deceptive title
Was that child given champagne?
Any au pair's nightmare
Walking longer distances are no problem for small kids. They will simply stop in the middle of the road when they are done.
What I don't like at all that none of the mothers train their au pairs that children need to DRINK. There is NO leaving his house without at least one thermosflask of herbal tea, better 2 litres of drink ... !
Some of these ‘mums’ seem quite patronising to the eu pairs. Poppy seemed lovely mum not so much 🙄🤦♀️.
An au pair is not a cook.
Cereal and milk for breakfast. Samwiches for lunch. Tescos do amazing ready meals....idve jeot the good au pair and given her a bag of 7 ready meals every sunday. After a pub lunch. Problem solved😅
A 2-year-old walking for 20 minutes both ways is FINE and normal. These parents who never have their children walk are doing everyone a disservice.
Maybe mean old mummy should get a proper nanny.
When we talk about parental Responsibility, maybe we should not be encouraging our very young children to drink alcohol (Poppy's Mother)... Wowzer😵💫
OMG, I could never work for Poppy's mother!
Poppy's mom is not ok in her head
How many times
they steal the wife's husband
Poppy says she has a nanny NOT an AUR PAIR . A NANNY does not clean the house.
The danger to Au Pairs when hied by unprofessional employee parents 😂,no funny.
Mother should realise balance and harmony with the au pair brings respect crom children too. Seriously mentally and emotionally immature woman
Well there is a trust issue from aupairs too. Thankfully they scrapped of the aupairs programme.
