    Great job 👍 I guess a bit of flexi hose to join the pipe temporarily would just start a fire in there. Nice bit of welding👍

      Yes John, that was my thought also. A bit too close to the manifold for comfort 😉👍

    I've seen a few guys use a bike brake cable in a drill that they use in combo with some carb cleaner/dpf cleaner. Takes a while but they eventually bust through the blockage. I've the same engine in my Qashqai and now you have me worried that pipe will block eventually! Then I'll be following my own advice😐

      I have heard of that before but I have found lately that heat is excellent for softening the carbon & compressed air blows it out. Cheers David 😉🙏🙏

    Amazed me you managed to weld that pipe back together so well. Work of art just doing that alone.

      Peter cant wait for next one. I dont know why I love you videos I think its the way you explain everything and show very clearly how you use the scan tool for fault finding a lot of other youtubers just keep pressing buttons I find it hard to keep up with them. I learned a lot of you as I said can't wait for the next one peace

      You are more than welcome, hopefully it helped you out.
      The only advice I give is since making this video I have done quite a few of these & if the pipe is blocked just order a new one. Then when you have it in hand, cut the top off the old one in order to get a good fitting socket on it. It makes life so much easier 🙏🙏👍

    Have you noticed any loss of power specially in low rpm because of this issue?
    Thanks for the great video!

      Yes, I have seen this issue quite often and it does cause power a reduction 😉

    Hi Peter what do you think of a 2017 Mondeo 2.0 tdci powershift 175k. Thinking of buying one to taxi in? Are the engines gearbox as good as a Vag Dsg set up ? Thanks in advance 👍

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  2 года назад +1

      The Mondeo is quite a good car and I would recommend it as a Taxi, the only thing that you would have to be mindful of is the Powershift gearbox. They can be troublesome & expensive to repair, so make sure you have warranty to start with. Then change the gearbox oil & filter every 40k miles just to be on the safe side.
      I hope this is helpful Andrew 🙏👍

    Why does my 1.5dci go into limp mode when boosting the turbo to over take or on an incline when the engine temperature is not up to temperature , meaning when the engine is still “cold”, when the guage is up to its operating temperature , it boosts fine and doesn’t go into limp mode ? P2063 I think it is - TC system fault

      Unfortunately it could be lots of things and it is impossible to say without seeing the car. Smoke test the intake system & look at the air filter, these are a good place to start 🤞🤞

    if you're stuck with those pipes or you wana prove the problem. In situ, a squirt of carb cleaner down the pipe then the inner of an old handbrake cable on a drill should clear it enough. Advise/order new pipe

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  2 года назад +1

      I have tried the handbrake cable a few times to no avail but never with carb cleaner, I’ll try it the next time I see it, thanks Dave 👍👍

      have this issue currently, and seems no amount of carb cleaner/injector cleaner/dpf cleaner with the hand brake cable as a pipe cleaner will work! its truly blocked!
