that ram through on the shigeki clip is probably the against the odds moment of the decade
Agreed
Agreed
I'm still giving that award to Seth realizing that he forgot to put rhinos in the Rhino of Wits deck.
It's one of my favorites too.
Yup. i could not believe it lol
"Clutching defeat from the jaws of victory" will always be one of my favorite lines from Seth. Kills me everytime!
The instant speed carnosaur combo using the opponents carnosaur goes so hard I bet they weren’t expecting that instant speed interaction lol
I love how some of these are best kills AGAINST YOU. That's style right there.
Hey, a kills a kill :)
The Lord of Atlantis play killed me in the original video lol
And that's why they stopped symmetrical lords
“Opponent clutches defeat from the jaws of victory” is a quote I think about a lot. It was poetry at the height of an epic moment
5:07 yes, I love the zoom in on those 2 pixels!
Thanks Seth for always being a positive person and a positive influence on the MTG community.
Your turn 4 Grim Captain truly inspired me!
My favorite kill was being down 18 to 4 with opponent having played a ton of 6/6, 4/5, etc. creatures on their turn but none had haste except one and I blocked it with my last creature. Then on my turn, I made a 7/7 Grim Captain with a Bloodletter of Aclazotz, then Spiteful Banditry'd all their creatures for 6 damage clearing their side of the board. Now Grim Captain attacks and I chose the 2/4 Bloodletter to attack with him. 2+7 = 9 but Bloodletter doubles all damage so that is 18!! damage in the single hit. Bladoosh you just got Grim Cap'd
Thanks for another awesome year of content! I can't believe my janky deck made the list. Here's to another fantastic year with 2024!
Had a great new year Stone Rain!
For the best kill of the year? Honestly split between the shigeki + ram through or the automated Flumph card draw.
Always enjoy watching your content - and looking forward to seeing what you do in 2024.
Thanks!
As an Elves player, that game still hurts my soul, but it was a masterful line
I vote the comeback on the GG elf game. Brilliant
Call me old fashioned, but I'm a big fan of the spin-it-to-win-it flawless victory with Emrakul in modern
Thanks for another year of hilarious wins
My favorite kill by far was from the burn deck Seth played on March of the Machine early access where he transformed two Invasion of Regatha and chained together like three straight topdecks to burn out his opponent: ruclips.net/video/F1LeB7cPdec/видео.htmlsi=8WhLzzuW-jJ6iaLK&t=2400 Seth's reaction is priceless. Like he literally can't believe what just happened. Pure joy.
Haven’t seen the video yet but I went and got a warm cup of salty tears to enjoy while watching.
The flumph and bow masters "this is peak magic" is the best!
My favorite is still the Repercussion win because it's not only one of my favorite cards but "Infinite does not beat us" just sounds so cool
Goblin bombarded kill was amazing. Great year of content Seth. Thanks
these were some absolute beauties! my favorite was copying their carnosaur for the discover popoff hahaha. bet they got quite the shock when that popped up!
So many great Against the Odds videos this year, but that's ram through really takes the cake
Love this look back on some of the greatest, jankiest combo kills of the year. 😂👍
The Ram Through gets me every time 🤣
Gotta say, the Flumph video in general was one of my favorites this year. Also the Ram Through was truly Against the Odds 😂
Random Emrakul off the top has to be my favorite or at least top three :3
The Goblin Bombardment is probably my favorite but that Ram Through win… perfection!
Best part of new years, my favorite creators making a compilation of the year in content! ❤️
Seth there is no easy way to say this, so ill just say it. I love you man, thanks for such a magnificent content. you are by far the best, love you man!
We need the best punts, maybe, obviously you included one that was a great win for opponent as well, love the Elves victory but the ram through was insane.
thanks for all the good times, seth! see you next year!
*Ram Through* , no question.
Esp. because it inspired a deck build for me; Do you know how GREAT *Ram Through* is with *Ball Lightning* ??
Ohh, that's spicy
Groundbreaker if you want to go mono green in modern. My son runs a mono green Ghalta list in Pioneer with 4 ram through 😅 sometimes its just busted.
@@MTGGoldfishOkay but how about ram through with lightning skelemental😂
@@Fome You would be forced into a 3rd color. You have Big G fixing, but you must mentally prepare for the occasional color-screw.
@@OGNoNameNobody personally, I don't like Ram through with anything that sacrifices, then you have to have 5 mana to use, and creatures have gotten so big power wise that it doesn't matter much
the ram through, soo funny
I really like the goblin grenade kill - very clean line
The repercussions was a delight to see again.
3:10 oml that was great
17:49 probably the deck i had the most fun this year. not quite the double moon walkers deck of old though. i wish we had jace arquitect of though, nissa´s oath and emrakul. such a cool way to end a game.
I have no idea how I've watched a bunch of your MTGA content + I watch a crap ton of MTGO content, and I had no idea you also had content on MTGO... RUclips algorithm failed me :(
well more content to watch.
Literally seen ALL of those videos this year! But nothing NOTHING compares to that HILARIOUS FLUMPH kill!!! ahhahaha
Love the Carnosaur combo. That was amazing
It was an awesome year of combo. Great content!
Thanks for another amazing year of content! You guys are the best
Seth really enjoyed the enchanting tales lol.
In timeless, I recent beat someone with eldrazi on the field. After multiple board whipes, turn 12 I think? I top decked my gray merchant of asphodel. They took all but five of my lands, I had no other permanents, they went from two to 1 life because of land dealings by them. My gray merchant dropped them below zero just in time. I took them below 5 life 5 times before, and they took me below 10 twice. I ended with 13 I believe. Timeless is insane!
The opponent casting spell after spell on the forced fruition was nasty as shit is.😊😊😊😊
when the first one already has Seth wondering if he broke the format you know the video is going to be good
Love the editing in this video ✌
Thanks!
Love this kind of review
the billion damage ram through is one of the greatest things i've ever seen
Honestly it’s not even about the win. What makes this video great is the resulting laugh from Seth
Dude the oponnent throwing the game by casting a shigeki was legendary.
ending the year with "how to end a magic the gathering game" i see
Nice recap!
So happy to see this type of content🎉
God I will never get tired of the shigeki clip
Lots of great moments, but the Flumph combo is my favorite. (Partly because it's fully automated. Lol.)
the best of this video is all the Seth reactions!
For me, my favorite kill was when you killed MODO with the Flumph combo. That was a hilarious and also disappointing moment.
Next year keep a calendar to keep track of each month if possible.
Billion damage ram through is my favorite by far.
Watch Seth have fun, we have fun!
best one has to go to bow masters flumph, was a playable deck too was the best part
I need those old charms, i'm playing mtg just from MTGA and even on ranked historic they not added all of those for use/test in that format (or the new Timeless)
Same to the others "Leyline" cards
this was a VERY good idea!
100% chance to win... opponent nah hold me beer 😅 best win. No Rhino 100 Rhinos deck was amazing 😅 thanks for the good times this year.
Copy Trumpeting Carnosaur!!! My favorite
Totally forgotvabout flumph combo...hello Timeless!!!
When was the game where Seth surprise Blightsteel'd and the opponent blocked with a Kaldra Compleat-equipped Germ, but then panicked for some reason and gave the germ pro-colorless with a Giver, thereby unequipping the Kaldra?
22:20 HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Happy new year!
I loved the episode when you kept bouncing the opponent's anvil and they kept exiling their cards anyway
Just an idea, put some light jazz or lo-fi in the background to these compilations, makes them infinitely more watchable!
I'll try that next time, thanks for the idea!
imagine if the star of extinction repercussion put your own creature's repercussion on the top of the stack
These were so good!!!😂
3:30 is the best.
No one plays around the instant speed carnosaur!😂
I was like number 1000!
lol the mana tithe
If you live by the Mana Tithe you will die by the Mana Tithe!
I think Forced Fruition is my favorite.
"Our opponents clutches defeat in the jaws of victory" is the best video you put out this year.
Love you seth
Very niiiiiiiiice
Best mtg player +++
The best kill was the "Good Game Guy" hauehaush
1:33, If OP had 2 more life, couldn't you have still killed by attacking with your other creatures?
Does anyone know the deck he played at 17:51?
the 720p of this video really hurts
You should've blurred that opps email address
Day 3 of asking for the European guy to play an omnath locus of rage x risen reef deck
Lol
no film of it but i got a kill on an opponent with a restless fortress (BW land that becomes a creature that becomes a creature that does 2 damage when it attacks) + bloodletter of aclazotz. They were at 2 hp and the combo is -4 hp.
*unalives
720p....
Yeah, I had to download the videos from RUclips to make the compellation and that's as high res as the get.
@@MTGGoldfish thou are forgiven :D
I don't really like the use of the word "kill" for ending a game of magic. The game has always made it abstracted on what happens canonically to a player when they lose the game. Planeswalker cards have loyalty points, so canonically they planeswalk away when they are removed from the game, players are supposed to be planeswalkers as well. I just feel like there's no reason to inject more violence into the pastime than needed. I know it probably seems like a silly thing to get hung up on, but it just bothers me.
It is a silly thing to get hung up on, but thanks for letting us know your opinion.
if you put the oppos lifepoints to a total of 0 or less - then they lost all their life
What happens to living and undead if that happens? They become dead
If you do this (burn spells for example) or command a group of soldiers etc to do this, you killed someone
It would also always count as murder, since you were prepped and hat the intention to do this
Your logik also implies you cant kill mobs in soulslike, since they return after resting
Even bosses return in ng+
@@deutscher1a You can always concede a game of magic instantly without the use of the stack. So your opponent never needs to let you reduce their health points to zero. As soon as it is apparent that you would put their life points to zero they can concede. Canonically this would probably be seen as planeswalking away before the fatal blow is landed. I've always seen a game of magic as a formal duel between two mighty plainswalking wizards (which is what WotC has promoted as the fantasy of the game to be) and as such a loss does not mean death, especially since in a competitive setting you need to lose more than once to lose the match. I see it as the planeswalking wizards resting up until the next day and having another go just so that they are sure who is the better wizard.
Now, I certainly don't expect anyone else to agree with me, but I just think that calling a win in MtG a "Kill" is unnecessarily violent, AND not even technically correct since in the video most of the opponents conceded before lethal was ever presented. They left as soon as it was apparent that Seth had the upper hand.
There are nearly countless black and red cards that depict heinous and cruel acts upon their enemies (also upon their own creatures). Getting hung up on the term "kill" in reference to the opponent is SUPER arbitrary and nonsensical.
@@wormspeaker You even kall it lethal at the end of your comment...
What about the oppo with turbofog into ram through
He got a million damage above lethal damage - which is the most deadly possible
This guy is 🗑
I have tried his videos multiple times, and closed every time because of the annoying exaggerated bro voice... I really tried.
Then why are you here and commenting?
