It's so funny looking back on old video's of the Mclaren from 2015 and seeing people commenting that they'll be competitive in 2016/17, hahahaha look at them now
The 2014 car has a better front end on turn in. The rear steps out more, which I prefer. The 2015 car is more neutral and turns better in the middle of the corner but not on entry. I prefer the 2014 car.
I'd say Honda will need half a season to make the engine work properly, by then the other teams will still have an upper hand in aerodynamics, Mclaren-Honda will be competitive next year.

Because our packaging of the engine is so tight (probably the tightest of anyone this year) we cant actually run the engine at 100% yet (or else it WILL blow up) With this de rated engine we lose about 150-200 bhp. so until we can run at 100% we'll be at the back of the field.

I believe we clearly see less effort from the driver while the car is right after the apex... BUT We witness the powerless engine of Honda... If you look closely you can see that in the straight sections of Melbourn the 2015 car is slower....
***** I totaly agree on that, I dont believe that the torque that the engine produces this year is so high that can give that haugh body roll to the car while turning a corner. BTW, the aerodynamics are not the same but the Cp and Cd of the car are not increasing linearly I suppose...... But aerodynamics do have sense above 150 klm/h. We need to see the full power of the Honda engine in order to assess the hole package..

2015 car's speed appears to be shit, it loses a lot on the straights
only because mclaren-honda has a bad car for this year compared to 2014. the cars are 3 seconds faster than last year in general

They have not been running the car at full RPM yet, so no clue whether the new car is faster
There are 100 hp which they cannot use yet because they are still testing and the engine could blow up if they don't use the power properly.
