- Asymptomatic bacteriuria (ASB) is the presence of 1 or more species
of bacteria growing in the urine at specified quantitative counts
(≥100,000 colony-forming units [CFU]/mL), irrespective of the
presence of pyuria, in the absence of signs or symptoms attributable
to urinary tract infection (UTI)
Hello i am 24 years old and have klebsiella and Enterococcus in my urine. My urologist said i have a weak bladder and those two bacteria are asymptomatic bacteriuria. I have uti symptoms which are frequent urination and urgency. Are these two bacteria causing the symptoms ?
i'm suffering from uti for 3 years and the doctors all prescribed me antibiotics and i didn't get better.
