Hi Daz, i got a pair of spectacles in Jan 2023 from the lady in soi buk. However when I got back to uk I notice a slight problem with the lens. I thought that I would not use the spectacles and put them away as my old ones was still ok. In Jan 2024 I went back to the lady on soi buk as I thought I would pay her to repair the lens. She immediately remembers me and said that she would repair the lens for free. She did a great job sending the lens off to Bangkok and they are now perfect. I actually gave her a tip as she was so honest and professional.

Great video Daz. Another great place to get your teeth done is the hospital on Soi 4 off Second Rd. I’ve had plenty of work done there on my teeth. I got four fillings done on one trip, came back to Australia and the dentist here said they did really good work. Highly recommended.

What a coincidence, I just went today to your optical shop, because I remembered your video some time ago. I payed 11000 bath for a pair of glasses which become darker in the sun. I also went to the big optical shop at the opposite of soi pothole but they would charge me 17000 bath for almost the same pair of glasses. So thanks Daz!
In Central shopping mall on L3 they have 3 high quality Optometrist/glasses/contacts shops !.

I had asked you for a recommendation about dentist, you sent me to Your dentist. I had a lot of work needed, to Include some implants. They were very good he knew I was only on a 2 week holiday. He arranged 7 visits for me, to complete my work. Getting an appointment with a dentist in the USA is difficult and usually a month wait. The prices were very reasonable. I still need to find the time to go back to Pattaya and add the. Crown onto the implant. I have also used other dentist in Pattaya with good results. It is actually cheaper in most cases to take pay for the trip, hotels, etc than it is to visit a dentist in the US
I went to an eyeglass place at the end ofSoi Bakuao and was the treated so rudely that I walked out. I am very happy that you told me about this place which is very close to where my barber is. I am on my way as we speak. You’re my Hero … 🙏🏾
Once you have a physical copy of your prescription from your home country (assuming it hasn't changed) it's easy to buy glasses online and have them shipped to Thailand.

Progressive lenses - These are expensive. But on a different level to anything else out there.
Varilux Series X by Essilor. The difference is your peripheral vision which with these lenses is remarkable. Frames + lenses in the U.K. £700+ Thanks for the info, Will be paying this lady a visit for sure.

I’ve used the optician based a post you had about 2 years ago. She is very good. Last year I got 2 pair of progressives. At that time she charged me 13000 for both. What a deal, in the States it easily would have been more than double that with Insurance.

There are so many services in Tukcom: Besides software, my favorite is the DIY tools and electronic components on the top floor. Is the only place I know of in Pattaya where I can buy resistors, capacitors, solder, etc.
After some disappointments in Pattaya, I've been going to Cambodia for Dentist and Optical. RoomChang Dental in Phnom Penh is wonderful.
The only thing I can't get is proper Tri-Focals, but those are now readily available on the web from USA. FWIW, I find that I cannot adjust to progressive lenses.

Right next to Fresh Mediq there’s also a very good dentist called Ocean dental center, very professionnal and a bit cheaper too

Great video, always good to get future contacts before I love to Pattaya. I recently returned from a Pattaya trip. While there I picked up a really bad virus, and had the worst influenza infection in thirty years spending half my time in my hotel. It would be good to get a recommendation for hospital, or what to do while In Pattaya. I saw doctor upon my return to Australia and received antibiotics. Look forward to any recommendation that you have..

No, they are " progressive lenses " so no lines like you have with bi focals.

Bi-focal lenses are old fashioned, these days they are called either progressive or varifocal lenses, which is exactly what i had made at this shop, by the way ignore the 1st 5 mins of this video.
