I've heard a lot of talk about this band at every DSO show I've gone to.
But honestly, after listening to a few of these recordings on RUclips, I'm shaking my head. Yes, they are fine musicians and they have their particular approach to the GD canon. But for my money, as a DeadHead going back to the early 70's shows, DSO delivers the more genuinely enjoyable experience. I would say that "almost" is an apt description for JRAD, as in "almost but not quite". Not to mention that these guys charge almost double for a concert than DSO does for half the experience.

Bogie is a treasure....adds depth & nuance to an already extremely nuanced band. . .it's great when he makes the trip. I've been lucky to catch him with jrad indoors & outdoors....he's a great addition
