    Thank you that was good to see before operating on mine.

    Nice work and nice rifle I have the exact same setup. Idk if the Area 419 is considered top notch but I like it. And there reloading gear is definitely my favorite.

      Works great for me, gives the options for much more variety of bipods. With the new set up my accuracy is better from different positions since the new anchor point is very solid.

    Thanks for the video! I didn't know it existed until I saw this. Just to confirm, the screws you used came with the rail? And they didn't go so far in as to touch the barrel?

      Thanks for watching! That is correct, the screws came with the rail. They are the correct length, you don't have to worry about them interfering with the barrel.

    Cool video, defiently ordering this for my Bergara B14 HMR.
    Which Attachment Method did you pick for the Rail? mlok, keymod or traditional?

    • @pitcherthis6483
      @pitcherthis6483 8 месяцев назад +2

      You'll need the traditional for the Bergara

    Good instructional video but not using a torque wrench could damage your rifle handguard also remember to use thread locker like loctite 242 if you want those screws tight ....!

    • @_mossymoss
      @_mossymoss  11 месяцев назад

      I have 550 rounds on this now after the new rail and bipod and not an ounce of play so it's working out fine for me without either. But I agree, Loctite and a proper torque tool would be good additions to use here if you'd like.

    How did those screw fit?! My b14 hmr sling studs are course thread like a regular construction screw 🤔

    • @_mossymoss
      @_mossymoss  Год назад

      My sling studs were threaded 10-32 from factory. That's very odd, the rear spacers for the adjustable length of pull are the only thing on my stock that would be considered a construction style screw

    What type of Harris did you take off? I have an hMR but not sure if I want the rail?

    • @_mossymoss
      @_mossymoss  Год назад

      It was an older Harris so it doesn't have the type stamped on the part, but it would essentially be a S-BR2 with a longer extension and a different tilt tension knob. Trust me get the rail you will wish you had a long time ago

    I know this is an older video but just curious could you have used the old slings studs to mount this?

    • @_mossymoss
      @_mossymoss  2 месяца назад +1

      I can't say for sure because I didn't try it, but I'm leaning towards no. The reason being is I think the studs are bigger around than the head of the screws so I don't think they would sit flush on the inside of the rail. It comes with the correct screws and the bottom of the rail has a QD mount, you can get a sling that has a QD end to it rather than typical screw into sling studs would be my recommendation.

    What bipod did you end up using? There’s still an option for a sling attachment correct?

    • @_mossymoss
      @_mossymoss  4 месяца назад +1

      I've been needing to do a video on that bipod. I went with a Accu-Tac SR-5 G2. It's pricey, but every bit worth it. It's built from T6 series aluminum and hands down best I've ever used. There is a QD attachment point at the back of this rail which you could attach a sling to as long as it had a QD attachment method on the sling.

    Can that picantiny rail be used also for tripods ?

    • @_mossymoss
      @_mossymoss  Год назад

      Yes, it could be used with a tripod but the tripod head would likely need a small adapter. Most tripods attach using something called Arca rail, so you would need an adapter for the tripod head which are relatively inexpensive.

      The part number in their system is "419-IBR-BK"

    Could you tell me the diameter of the original Bergara screws of the sling mounts? is it like 10-32 or 1/4-20?

    • @_mossymoss
      @_mossymoss  Год назад +1

      It is 10-32

    • @_mossymoss
      @_mossymoss  Год назад +1

      I didn't, I have about 250 rounds on it with the new bipod and still don't have an ounce of wiggle
