Seriously dude, I paid over $1600++ for this rifle. No short screws? Why so cheap? Don’t make a kick ass rifle and then piss off your customers by trying to stick it to them over a .10 screw.
    Come on Bergara.

why on earth did you people not include both sets of screws (considering they're literally less than $2 for both on your site) with a $1600 rifle? And they strip like you bought these 2nd hand at harbor freight out of their clearance bin. wow. Wtf is the thread pitch of these, so I can get some real ones. Fuck, I'm pissed.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that wonders why stuff like that isn’t just included

Nice video, thank you. The process is simple after watching your video. I just purchased a B14 HMR for myself. Love the rifle.
BTW, your Owner’s Manual leaves a lot to be improved. Pg 22 “Untie recoil pad screws”??? What does that even mean? Thankful for your video.

You should also mention to lube the shaft of the screwdriver with some oil to reduce damage to the recoil pad.

Length of pull was too long on my BXR, I knew that the spacers were held in with screws by just looking at the stock design but didn't what type of head was on them since they are entirely hidden beneath the recoil pad (brilliant). Came here to see if there was mention of what the were since it wasn't in the manual (brilliant x2) and then find out they are Phillips head (brilliant x3) So I then removed two of the spacers. Gives me near perfect eye relief with my optic. I reinstalled the screws and the bottom one tightened up properly, the top one is tightened as far as possible and I can still easily pull the spacer and recoil pad off of the top screw with minimal pressure. I will likely have to glue these is place as the screw doesn't maintain proper tension with the two spacers removed, despite having said that I could remove two without needing different screws (brilliant x4). I have not even shot this rifle yet, but the simple task of changing LOP was so poorly and cheaply done, I will seriously consider whether or not I would want to spend money on another Bergara product. I know this seems trivial, and the rifle may work great once I have it out (I hope it does) but such a simple task as changing LOP is done this poorly and this cheaply, I can't hold out much hope for the rest of the rifle. Why not at least include the extra screws OR put what type of screws they were in the manual? The heads of the screws are not visible, include this information in the manual and fix this cheap and janky design!

If find that even with the screws really tight, I can easily flex the recoil pad from side to side. I don’t want to go crazy on tensioning the screws, as they could strip the holes in the stock..

    They look like wood screws!
Why not put a suitable nut and screws? oO
Level of durability and resistance over time, there is no impact?

How does one extend the length of of pull on the Bergara Premiere model? I don’t see screws on the butt.

There is a "notch" at the lower butt stock. What's it for?

The Damn long screws won’t thread far enough in with one spacer removed!! Should have come with both sets

No sorry guys you are all wrong! These look like wood screws, you couldn't embed stainless threaded sleeves in the stocks and include 2 sets of stainless hex head screws? Of course you could. I am spending 1600-2500 on a rifle I will pay an extra $5 for this feature. Who the hell uses wood screws like this on a gun?

My jaw hit the floor when I saw this. $1800 HMR PRO .308. The spacer blocks secured with fn wood screws. The instruction manual mentions nothing. At least not the booklet that came with my rifle. I should have probably waited for the Ruger precision rifle. Is this the kind of shit they do in Spain? Please reply, Bergara. Found this out the night before going out shooting. Pulled one spacer. Found the RUclips video... and thought to myself, how Mickey Mouse can you get.
