Bergara, Great Accuracy for the Money
Overall 13 shots, 6 head/neck, 4 body, and 3 shots just missed the over landing over top of the shoulders with alternating wind making it difficult. Head of silhouette is approximately 5”x5”. 97 degree day with a lot of mirage down range, no spotter, enjoy. This setup continues to perform, check out the video I did getting 0.25 MOA on a calm day.

Here's my tablet setup in my 1997 F-350 7.3 Powerstroke. It functions as my radio, gauge cluster, diagnostic tool, entertainment screen, etc. The screen is a 9" 1080p HD quality with quick response. This has been a wonderful addition and I would recommend to everyone that's considering adding something of this sort to their own truck.

    Perfect ! Man glad you made this video . Was looking to see if you could even put a picatiny rail for a bipod on the front . do you think this will work on the hmr-14 carbon wilderness?

    • @_mossymoss
      @_mossymoss Месяц назад

      I'd be willing to bet it would work fine. I believe it is the same stock across both platforms, just a different paint scheme. The difference between the two comes from the barrel. Thanks for watching.

      @@_mossymoss how do you like that rifle ? My friends keep saying that the Ruger American and the savage will do the same thing at distance. I no we’re no experts. But do you have any regrets on your rifle purchase? I have been on the fence about if it’s worth spending the extra money and going with the bergara. But I shoot a lot and just think if I buy once cry once ill have no regrets?

    • @bobmths

      I think I have been on the fence bc the feedback I get from my buddy’s . But I can’t honestly say if there hateing bc they do not have the same funds that I do to purchase a rifle like the carbon instead of just something say average.

    • @_mossymoss
      @_mossymoss Месяц назад

      Personally, I do not have any experience with the Ruger American. I also haven't shot a Savage that is newer than a decade old. It shot well but the action smoothness was like walking barefoot on gravel, I'm sure they are better now as that's a long time to improve. I am very happy with my purchase of the hmr, I have a lot of rounds through it and it performs really well. Go check out some of my other videos to see the accuracy it provides. I do not think you will be disappointed at all. Just a tip for the future don't take anyone's opinions as set in stone about a subject if they don't have extended periods of time with all the pieces of equipment that are up for debate.

    I know this is an older video but just curious could you have used the old slings studs to mount this?

    • @_mossymoss
      @_mossymoss 4 месяца назад

      I can't say for sure because I didn't try it, but I'm leaning towards no. The reason being is I think the studs are bigger around than the head of the screws so I don't think they would sit flush on the inside of the rail. It comes with the correct screws and the bottom of the rail has a QD mount, you can get a sling that has a QD end to it rather than typical screw into sling studs would be my recommendation.

      I've been needing to do a video on that bipod. I went with a Accu-Tac SR-5 G2. It's pricey, but every bit worth it. It's built from T6 series aluminum and hands down the best I've ever used.

    Good instructional video but not using a torque wrench could damage your rifle handguard also remember to use thread locker like loctite 242 if you want those screws tight ....!

      I have 550 rounds on this now after the new rail and bipod and not an ounce of play so it's working out fine for me without either. But I agree, Loctite and a proper torque tool would be good additions to use here if you'd like.

      Yes, it could be used with a tripod but the tripod head would likely need a small adapter. Most tripods attach using something called Arca rail, so you would need an adapter for the tripod head which are relatively inexpensive.

    • @_mossymoss

      It was an older Harris so it doesn't have the type stamped on the part, but it would essentially be a S-BR2 with a longer extension and a different tilt tension knob. Trust me get the rail you will wish you had a long time ago
