“People don’t like this, but I have a great admiration for Theresa May, David Cameron or whoever else it is,” Ricky says. “These people are putting themselves on the line. People might think they’re out to feather their nest or whatever, but I think they could have an easier life, and probably a more prosperous one, outside politics.”
      Even Thatcher?
“Yes, and I’d say that to anyone. But I don’t necessarily have to have agreed with her.”
Ricky Ross interview from last few years.
Contrast this with the righteous and warranted criticism of Labour's failure to stand up for the working class in Scotland in the eighties he unleashed at The Big Day in 1990.
Dignity is about the dignity of labour, a concept alien to the Conservatives, whose needless decade of austerity ( it has not ceased) has killed thousands. I have been a Deacon Blue fan since 1987 and lucky enough to see them live a number of times over the years. I am a socialist and that has not changed nor will it ever. I have no admiration for any Conservative Prime Minister past or present.

22:40 Good to see GHA help solve these council house shortages in these modern times 2021 by transferring council houses to 'Arms Length Companies' and charge even more for rent. 👍

A victim of the small-minded Scots mentality of "you think you're great but you're no' great"

19:47 sorry to say old guy, back in the 1990's 'money did grow on trees' as money was made from paper and no these plastic notes we have now.

If anybody wants to know what an 'Arms Length company' housing is, it's basically getting a council service but being charged a 'private landlord' rents.
