Glasgow City of Culture The Big Day Out Finally Part One

In the Year of Culture 1990 Glasgow celebrated its association with music in an event called "The Big Day Out". At various venues across Glasgow including, Glasgow Green, George Square and Custom House Quay. Included in the line up were - The Silencers, Sheena Easton, Big Country, Hue and Cry, Wet Wet Wet and topping the bill at the Green, Deacon Blue. The central theme on the day was Homelessness. Included in this film are the stories of some of these homeless people.

Big Country were absolutely amazing that night. They had the whole place jumping around. Other most memorable moment, chucking my lightstick at Sheena Easton's leg and scoring a direct hit 🎯
