It's not really that difficult. it's just very punishing. One can beat it if they dont rush, pay attention and think tactically.... The Titania daemons for example, I learned to not fuck with those thing so I get a bow and snipe them..bows and arrows are widely available in the game, and it makes your life a lot easier. Everyone of these players seems to think they are Dante from devil may cry and they can juggle everything to death.

Also, when you don't have souls to retrieve, it doesn't matter how many times you die by fighting a boss, it also feels like you're taking a load off the top, then face the boss without the fear of dying, which also makes you fight the him now relaxed.

this is exactly what crested my love for these games. there's a lot of games I play and most of them take about 5 minutes to master. doesn't mean they can't be enjoyable in a lot of ways but I found myself thinking..are there even hard games anymore? I grew up on NES where the games were hard, when there was no internet, no save files, etc. then souls series and bloodborn have really scratched that itch for me.
lol wtf are you talking about ? Just beat the game 10-20 times and you will be doing any% no hit taken playthrough or any% no dmg taken playthrough. Its just hard the first time you play it. When you memorize the moves of all enemies , the game becomes easy. On my second playthrough i never died.

I love Dark Souls. I've completed all of them, and I still die a lot and find that I need to utilise all my skill and attention to beat even the most basic of enemies. Dark Souls gets easier with practice, yes, but it's not like learning to ride a bike. It's like learning to drive a car.
NES games weren't really all that hard - the issue was we were kids that were just starting to learn how to play games, and developers were still figuring out how to make controls good and responsive. A lot of our nostalgic memories of difficult games were actually memories of powering through artificial difficulty because we were stubborn and we wanted to see the next level.

Also, when you don't have souls to retrieve, it doesn't matter how many times you die by fighting a boss, it also feels like you're taking a load off the top, then face the boss without the fear of dying, which also makes you fight the him now relaxed.

this is exactly what crested my love for these games. there's a lot of games I play and most of them take about 5 minutes to master. doesn't mean they can't be enjoyable in a lot of ways but I found myself thinking..are there even hard games anymore? I grew up on NES where the games were hard, when there was no internet, no save files, etc. then souls series and bloodborn have really scratched that itch for me.
lol wtf are you talking about ? Just beat the game 10-20 times and you will be doing any% no hit taken playthrough or any% no dmg taken playthrough. Its just hard the first time you play it. When you memorize the moves of all enemies , the game becomes easy. On my second playthrough i never died.

I love Dark Souls. I've completed all of them, and I still die a lot and find that I need to utilise all my skill and attention to beat even the most basic of enemies. Dark Souls gets easier with practice, yes, but it's not like learning to ride a bike. It's like learning to drive a car.
NES games weren't really all that hard - the issue was we were kids that were just starting to learn how to play games, and developers were still figuring out how to make controls good and responsive.
A lot of our nostalgic memories of difficult games were actually memories of powering through artificial difficulty because we were stubborn and we wanted to see the next level.
