This whole segment with James has been brilliant. So well executed and so well spoken. It’s puts a whole new perspective on the game and would love to see it brought onto a on course video with James on the mental side. After a bad shot on the course I always try tell my self it’s a game nobody masters even the elite never have a perfect round on a good day. But most pleasing to see after all the emotional rollercoaster James is happy content and has a smile
I think we underestimate the game because as Rick said in other video its not like playing basketball for example where you naturally dont compare yourself with pros since they are such giants and in such amazing physical shape but in golf since the bar is so low athletically to play it you feel you ought to do great. You never expect to dunk the ball from the free throw line like Jordan but for some reason we expect to swing like Tiger lol
This interview with James is one of the greatest things I've ever watched! He seems so personable and truly excited to tell his story. His candor and honesty are a breath of fresh air. It's so interesting to hear a players perspective on being in the Open. Thanks!
James seems like such a mellow, positive dude. He'd be fun to play with.

James I thought was so humble, that for me at least is having one's feet firmly on terra firma. He had expectation at Carnoustie and so would everyone I would bet but the whole thing messed him up, but to be so upbeat speaks volumes for his character. Great podcast Rick.
I've watched this 4 times today. Such a great story, so well told, amazing insight. Really puts a perspective on the upper tier of the game.
Although I've been watching the You Tube for years, have started listening to the podcasts on dog walks . Very enjoyable and makes a change from Tony Blackburn's " Sounds of the Sixties " !!
It's great to have this charsimatic guy on the show. He's down to earth and easy to side with as we dream of getting our shot of glory one day. So it's fascinating insight

Thanks Rick, extremely enjoyable and I have an enormous amount of sympathy for James' experiences that have caused him to come away from Tour golf. The cruel clarity of winning: earning/nearly winning: nowhere is stark and clearly requires a particular personality to manage it. My son will be turning pro and these are important stories.
If I had the money I would fund James. Quite clearly got the potential to play on Tour, and as 100% got the passion as you can tell with these interviews. Hes so excited. Hope you return to playing James. Well done.😉

Just listened to the whole 3 hours on the podcast.
I'm now feeling inspired to get my son on the range and build some enjoyable and recordable training methods for him. He's got the raw swing and short game to work with, and I've sometimes feared I don't want to push him if he falls short of his goals, but, James telling his story and finding happiness in his career, as well as achieving a lifelong goal has put it into perspective.
The content you have provided of late is absolutely top class, it’s eye opening in what pros need go through in order to succeed, keep up the great work pal fantastic 👍🏻

It’s just amazing to me that it’s only a couple of bad shots that you end up not making it to the weekend it’s like two or three bad shots/putts and you’re out that’s the most remarkable thing out of all of this
