  • We hit the dragon with a very modified FD and have a spirited drive. The weather was amazing and the car was running great. It was my first time leading and not following. I really hope all you guys enjoy this video and there will be many more videos to come. Stay tuned for some new cars to the channel.

IMO the FD3S is *the perfect* dragon chaser. Small, lightweight, agile beyond comparison, I love it!

I driven two cars on mountain roads. A 2012 chally 392 and the rx7 Fd. I can tell you the RX7 runs circles around the chally. Driving the FD feels as though the engineers at Mazda engineered the rx7 specifically for mountain roads. It is a very good car and underrated, in my opinion. I drove it hard for multiple runs on the mountain, and it is still running on its motor that got freshed up in 2016.

@@arrivendrive6831 in your honest opinion do you think a fully studded/built billet turbo Rotary could live past 100,000 miles? With proper care?

There is absolutely no reason why a rotary engine does not last at least 100,000 miles. My engine lasted 110,000 miles until I dropped it off for paint. I left the car at the shop with very little fuel and the painter got into boost on a joy ride and popped my engine. The current engine has about 20k on it and runs super strong. Never run a rotary car hard on less than a quarter tank. The hard acceleration will slosh the fuel away from the fuel pick up line and cause the engine to starve of fuel and die. The key is a good engine builder, good tuner and good maintenance. If you are interested in more information I will post a video if you like. My viewers are very important to me.
