Wow I'm surprised the vertical fin models don't overheat without the fan shrouds. How can any air flow get in between those fins?? Voodoo magic going on here.
Honestly I appreciate you and your content , Technical Analysis is good but I find It truly baffling that major crypto youtubers just look mostly at pure T.A. and completely ignore the bigger narrative of why Cryptos pump/pumped and why the future outlook will be even rosier than it seems. It's kinda irresponsible to ignore the fact that each ETF launch so far has caused a major dump at the peaks of these tokens. We were already on shaky footing with historically low volume and almost pure whale pumps, narrowly avoiding a long-term bear market. More emphasis should be put into day trading as it is less affected by the unpredictable nature of the market. I’ve been day trading crypto for 2 weeks with Joel David Jason's daily signals and insights and was able to make $42,023 as profit from my initial $3,000..

Your power usage actually went UP by about 5 watts. System did 718 watts with the shroud and 713 watts without them. Probably that bit of extra heat. No offence but this seems pretty pointless.
No offense taken but you clearly did not listen to the video. Nine hours vs 40 something minutes. Octominer fans change speeds on their own and update every 30 seconds… I’ve proven this saves wattage on previous videos my man, with an actual power meter not in some software bs
@@ChumpChangeXD Software meter in the octominer should actually be accurate. I understand it fluctuates, but this is the only comparison that is visible in the video. If fans update every 30 seconds, it will be hard to get a true proper reading anyway...unless you are very quick :-) Extra heat will always lead to higher wattages so in that aspect I can't imagine this saving anything long term. Also the octominers fans constantly switching rpm according to GPU temps will wear them out much faster. Since the octominer fans are known to be of poor quality, I'm afraid you end up with a lot of overheating GPU's without fans. Whatever though, love your content and all the effort you put into this stuff.
Octominers are only accurate if you have all 3/4 PSUs plugged in which I do not typically, so I never trust it. As far as the Octominer fans; I keep 4-5 on hand for that reason alone if something happens. If a GPU fan fails trying to get a stock one that is not a knock off is nearly impossible 90% of the time and that hurts the resale value which is another reason I do this. I think your Powercolor Fighter RX 6600 XT is a "lemon" because mines are all doing 32 MH/s at about the same wattage :) You don't need to run the RX 6600 XT at 100% fan, these cards run pretty cool :) Octominer has two "issues" for me, the fans they are using are not powerful enough to push the air inside the case. And the other issue is, in a server case you definitely should be using cooler with fins which force for the air to exit at the front and the back of the GPU, you can the see the difference around 1:27
When I have a fan fail, I take the shroud off. I'm not running Octominers, I run the AAAWave Dredge II frames on my farm. I do have external fans blowing along with 10 case fans per rig to keep them cool. No issues

A bit lower but I didn’t plug this rig into a meter like I have before but it’s not much like 1-2 watts between each fan
