Free MPC Beats actually comes with everything you need including all loop and drum samples, sounds and sythersizors, very high quality lots of variaty. Every major genre covered, some Including Trap, Hip Hop, Dance, Lofi and so on.
I'm super hearing like that flute lead with like taking parts of that and layering or substituting same notes with different synths contrasting with the flute when the beat progresses. probably a good way to add variation to such a style too
Cuebase, bitwig and reason as far paid choices for daw's as well, and then reaper whixh is another free option. Reaper's workflow is the most similar to protocols and logic of what's available for free
Nice video. Also I'd love to see you do a video discussing the legality aspects of sampling (what's public domain, how/when to get a license for a sample, is a license necessary for unrecognizably manipulated samples etc). This is why it's been years since I've tried using samples from actual songs, I wouldn't want something coming back to bite me if an algorithm flags my track for sampling.
I have an SP-1200, ASR-10 and an MPC Live. I love using hardware the most and never touched a DAW but I’m really considering FL Studio just to arrange everything easier.
You can use the included sounds royalty free in all DAWs within your song or instrumental. You are prohibited from modifying there samples in any way and then selling those as your own samples. Example 1 I take a FL studios Kick drum and snare then put a a distortion plugin effect and then save those and then sell them as My own is not allowed. 2 Taking Ableton Guitar loop and adding a reverb then pitching it down by 20% then save and sell that as My own sample also not allowed. Obviously just editing there sounds and selling them is not allowed.
@@HOLLASOUNDS I hear you. to be honest I'm not interested in melodic loops I know thats not allowed legally (unless replayed and with mechanical license) and I'm not interested in selling kits. I was found it interesting that drum sounds in copyright are not copyrighted as its not a melody from what I saw on google.. but I get you from a moral pov.
@@ricflomusic Drum sounds or any audio no matter how short is subject to what I said including one shot drum samples are the property and belong to the creator or owner of that sound simple. If I take for example one of Decaps Kicks and put that in My own sample pack and sell it, that would be copyright infringement but. @@NavieD your kit is great, thank you for giving it away! I mean while using random samples from the whole library is there a way to check samples somewhere if they are illegal to use? Or how does it work? If course I mean commercial work but I haven't touch this level of production yet
@@_andreypetr_ no offense but if you're asking this question i doubt that you're making enough money from music for it to be worth it for the copyright police to take legal action, there are systems that can sort of automatically detect samples and such (i think content ID is one) but when i use samples i make sure to pitch them and stretch them so it can't pick it up. I've uploaded about 15 beats on another channel using this method and i haven't had any problems, i even sold a beat :)

9th uses flstudio for loops. He listed it as one of his pieces of beat making equipment back in the mid-2000s in the source and from there is where I actually found it so I know for sure that he at least says he uses FL studio.
@@jonrobbin170 I know he started on FL, he talks about writing beats for Beyonce early on in his career. He definitely used machine for most of his beat-making workflow the last time I seen a video of him working on beats.

As for Him using FL studio well it's his chosen DAW and every video He use it, and it's just being consistent. FL studio is one of the most popular DAWs so you get more views by making videos on it especially with beats. I'm thinking of getting FL purely because it would get Me more views then My current DAW Reason.

If you have good speakers, and put low notes in your beat. How do you make these audible for people playing your track on a laptop?
You can always go into the EQ and raise up the higher end of them so that they'll be more audible through a laptop speaker
Look into Saturation/Distortion type effects, which bring out harmonics/higher frequencies out of sounds, then shape and adjudt those with equalizers
