I’ve been practicing to this song for a short while and I noticed I was, during the chorus, putting in an extra snare beat where it seemed intuitive but it didn’t match what is on the recording. Instead of that beat you showed where there is apparently a hesitation and then five beat on the high hat. Thanks!

Yes, this is probably one of the most challenging songs in that sufjan and James come up with the strangest drum parts, really inspiring
