    1) they already slid from the top of that hill...I'm guessing WITH their brake on; 2) they're not even outside trying to walk on the ice they insist they can drive on..."if you'll just pull me over to the middle.."; 3) what a great set of heroes you are...the non-reactive type in the hard moments...yet you are willing to risk life and limb...to help the "don't know what we're doing's" that cry for help when the wrong-behavior presents. Well done, both of you. I'm thankful people like you are able/willing to help when help is so needed.

Jeff, you have the patience of Job with your customers. I almost had a heart attack when that Tahoe suddenly slid sideways. Good thing you had that front strapped! I usually feel sorry for people having to pay a large tow bill, but I hope you charged them double so they will think before putting their family, the public & the tow company in a dangerous situation. Good job, Jeff & Kristen.

Jeff and Kristen, you are truly called to do what you're doing. I'm afraid I would not have had the patience to deal with that situation at all. Safety of my family is always, after the Good Lord, first in priorities. There is a highway near my hometown that is one heck of a winding road, and it's dangerous in dry, sunshiny weather, but it would be a death wish to come down it if it's iced over. There have been a lot of years when it has. If it were me and I was faced with icy roads and freezing temperatures, I would just have to stay on top of Log Town Hill! Great video. This the first time I've seen this one, most of your others I've seen a few times!

  • @heybea891

Love the vid especially that guy that slid down the hill and almost wiped out trying to get his dog lol!! That was completely random but proves the point that if you wipe out just trying to walk on the ice…. You probably can’t drive on it especially with a rear wheel vehicle lol!

My idea in the first 5 minutes. Pull from the low side over the hillside form the right. OR pull off the tree on the lowside just enough to get the driver tire away from the ditch.
Or a rollback might be another option.
    My worthless 2 cents. :)
In this sort of predicament, kitty litter is an option to keep in the vehicle. Or a couple of bags of sand.

I would think you would carry a few buckets of salt. Add it to tow cost and get that Heat brand fast acting salt. Just salt around area of car so when you slide it the tires might get some traction. Just a thought, it has helped me get out of work as our lot would puddle up near the frozen drain turn to ice and the tires were literally frozen to the ground 5 inches deep. Sprinkle Heat around tires and 5 minutes later it worked. Great videos btw!

Ive had several front-wheel cars and they can go pretty much any place as lomg as they don't get high-centered ot the snow isn't deep enough to require a plow.

Were I in this conversation, would tell him it is so nice he is so sure, but he would have to get someone else. Am thinking you probably will against your better judgement. Just am cringing to see the outcome. At 33 minutes, hope he knows this wasn't just a piece of cake and the fee will be way up there.

Let me think about this it's hard enough with a 4 wheel drive Tahoe let lone a 2 wheel drive and to think the man put him and his family in danger AND THEN tell you how you should do your job WOW brave people not so much, not trying to gudge people but holy cow if you can't run with the big dogs stay on the porch the proof that you can't fix stupid is in this video I understand that it's awesome scenery there and it's good to get out but use your head and keep your mouth shut and let the professionals do there job. Sorry people like that just make me mad. Back in the day I drove a wrecker for 16 years and when people would try to tell me how to do my job I would say let me think about this oh I'm not the one that put you in this situation. Sorry again .God bless you guys and as always be safe 👍

Why do people who have no experience driving in snow and ice covered mountain roads come here during the winter? They are not prepared at all, no winter clothing for any of them, one looks like house slippers. No heavy coats, I'm sure no food or water supplies in car in case they get stuck on a back road..people don't think that don't live there.

For this driver he was from Florida and in 28 years there I only saw snow flakes once, so a rear 2 wheel drive SUV isn't needed and far cheaper. On the other side I would never attempt to drive on ice even with a 4 wheel drive. They are good on snow, but still lose traction on ice. Jeff could tell you that he has recovered many.
