I never expected to hear Spiff curse so much in a video compared to his usual calm, professional and even sometimes smug voice in his own videos, but it is interesting to see this side of him.
I have 810 hours in this game and have done everything it has to offer and watching you all discover the things I'm used to is giving me those feelings from 2013 of finding all the cool stuff. It's like watching an anime for a manga I like. I know what's happening but it's like having the fun all over again.
I wish I could sink as many hours into it. I tried repeatedly. I like the colorful graphics of it. But being stuck underground most of the time really isn't my cup of tea. I mostly stay on the surface in other games such as Don't Starve Together too. But it's great that other people can enjoy Terraria this intensly. Who needs soulless annual copy & paste AAA trash when we have cute-ish and way deeper indie games such as these? :-) Maybe I'll try the game again. There is a slight impulse to when I see Dan and the others enoying it like this. But I'm more of a solo player too. Never tried Terraria multiplayer. I wish you could easily drop in and out of dedicated servers like in Don't Starve Together. That would make me feel less stressed and nervous and chained to whoever I would be playing with I guess. :-)
To anyone wondering, Spiff most likely used WeMod, since it gives you 100k hp exactly, and gives 10000% increased damage which matches the flare gun dping 23k, as well as him going invisible is a bug that often occurs when using WeMod on multiplayer.
Spiff the kind of guy that either becomes a billionare at age 9 or built a nuke out of his garage and transforms his neighbourhood into a hostile rogue state.
He is probably very intentionally playing bad to humor us, he seems to be doing that in many if not all games. Either that or he is a genuine textbook noob. It's fun to watch and listen to, so no harm. There are enough tryhards and speedrunners for those who prefer that. :-)
