Finally some integrity and balls with the questions. Not just asking the same old boring questions and actually holding the manager accountable. I think ten haag needs to have a good look at himself.
Not really.....ETH is in a very weak position and the journalist knows that....if asking such tough questions carried the jeopardy of losing his media access I can assure you he wouldn't be so bold.
@@dontbewoke I agree with that as most journalists get censored on what they can ask usually. That goes back to my integrity comment as journalists are meant to ask the hard questions to find the true facts regardless. ETH has been in this position for a long time as he continually spouts the same comments, which in turn is making journalists and fans irritated and observant to this. I'm saying this as a fan who has stood by ETH and against the hierarchy above him .
@@dontbewoke I'd agree with that unless things change drastically asap. Playing the same consistently bad players consistently and expecting change is not gonna do ETH much good for much longer.
The journalist asked a fair question. Ten Hag asked a question back, asking for examples expecting him to back off. instead the reported, obviously a fan, gave a fan's educated, informed, evidenced response. Boom. What a moment.
And his response is too laugh , I don't get it anymore he is tactically inept . Why Zirkzee was brought in I don't know he looks a decent player but not what we needed . A proven goalscorer is what we needed and a lb , like the ugarte signing and de ligt I'm still unsure of I don't think he is what people think hope I'm proven wrong
The journalist made a fool of himself. “How are turning the ball over in your own half and constantly get disposed by the ball your players problems not yours.” “Lol are you serious.”
As a man u fan for 40yrs ive backed every manager and will back ten hag but that journalist was spot on. Fair play to him for asking decent questions and backing it up.
Genuine question with no malice at all, (I’m a big Ten Hag outer) Why do you support managers who are leading the club to historic failure? Surely you must look at these results, finishes and embarrassments he causes us, no discernible style of play, awful substitutions and picking players based on favouritism every week such as Rashford. Why support someone who in my opinion is driving the club into the ground through ineptitude? Is it not better to have a standard for managers of being the best in class for a club the size of United? (Genuine questions)
I understand your question and thanks for being polite (rare these days on yt) I just feel more of the responsibility lays at the feet of the players and he has brought some success not unlike managers before him but with largely the same team. This season will be telling with more of his signings on board. It's, in my opinion his final season to make it work. I just don't know who's out there to manage us next 🤷
@@tabasco_taz5804 No worries! I like the response too, very reasonable! It’s my hope that these new signings will invigorate the team somewhat this season and give us a better spine. I don’t like constantly switching managers but it’s the pride in me that makes me want him out. Losing 7-0 to Liverpool, 3-0 the other day, it just gets my back up. I hope he turns things around for the sake of the club, but if he continues the way he has been, I don’t see him lasting the season. Just my opinion of course. I’d have Tuchel, Nagelsman or Simeone in a heartbeat.
If they make a good offer to Julian Nagelsmann , the same day he will take a plane and fly to Manchester. A very good manager and he proved it so many times. He is the perfect fit for United . Peace 🙏
United players make individual mistakes, true, but individual mistakes are part of football and happen in the best teams & clubs. The problem at United is much deeper, they reach far into structural areas inside the club, and into the coaching areas as well, besides the players. Ten Hag is proving he doesn't have a clue over& over again. Even at Madrid, Zidane would push Casemiro up into #8 in the buildup and have Modric-Kroos take early responsibility. Casemiro would then slot deeper when the ball had progressed or when they were out of possession. Good profiling to mitigate weakness. How don’t United see it? The elite teams began figuring out that Casemiro was the press trigger. But Zidane adapted, he asked Toni Kroos to drop deeper to form a pivot to bypass the first press. This worked brilliantly, it allowed Marcelo and Carvajal more freedom to push higher. But United's coaching staff is useless and doesn't see it. The same was true with Cristiano - Cristiano works the best with a second striker in a setup that United had, moving more like a free electron, yet they kept leaving him alone in the box area and just wanted him to be stale. Even Mourinho said that Ten Hag has no idea how to use Cristiano properly in the team, google it. See? The problem is that Ten Hag and the current United coaching staff have no clue how to use the players they have. Bruno is another example - he has great stats, but stats are meaningless if the reality on the pitch is awful. Most of the United problems actually come from the midfield, as Bruno constantly leaves open spaces and misplace passes. He is not a defensive midfielder, he is an attacking midfielder and very bad at defensive work. United has too many attacking players or to describe it better: too many players in the midfield who only have their minds set on attacking instead of defending, which leads to awful open spaces for the opponents. Ten Hag has been there for almost 3 years, and he is still unable to properly organize the team on the pitch and to implement any kind of coherent style. That's the fact. So I'm all for players taking responsibility for their mistakes, but the coach has to take responsibility too, and the truth is Ten Hag is way out of his depth!!
Ten Hag keeps on about "they won the FA Cup" but so have Wigan, Wimbledon, Portsmouth and so on. I am NOT a man u fan, infact quite the opposite, but he needs to start being honest. Well done to the journo who put him under pressure and asked why they keep making the same mistakes lol
Went on for so long about Arsenal not having injuries and wrong decisions in the Emirates game. I think there is a language issue. Won 6games flirting with failure is not success. Most teams are judged mainly on European or league games. If Arteta has not improved year on year in the league he would be out. ETH first season was mainly based on home form. Last season was horrible. His overall GD is probably just over 10 in 2 seasons. Can't remember the last time they smoked any team.
So expect the worst from this club because he seems to be beyond criticism for shambolic performances on his watch. Not to mention the blindness of those in management supporting him.
For nearly a year ETH has been deluded about how well he is doing and the games went, well done, someone from the press has finally and plainly called out the bullshit, we were getting sick of ETHs my truth, we finally got a bit of actual truth and it hurt, like truth often does.
Ten Hag’s problem is that he’s doing a very poor job, he’s arrogant, he’s deluded, he takes all of us for fools, and he’s not very likeable. The sooner he’s sacked the better

The Athletic did a piece on the weekend showing that throughout the game Slot and Liverpool set up their midfield in exactly the same way as Man Utd off the ball with the same gaping holes but just had better players like Salah and Diaz to exploit it than Utd had. Seems like it could be a tactical approach more common with Dutch managers but unless you have a perfect application of it with the best possible players it gets exposed in the premier league.
@MikeyNottz yeah just keep him in until they sign declan rice Rodri and Cole palmer in the midfield he's only on his 3rd season why should we see any improvement 🤡

As a diehard Man United supporter, I am extremely glad reporters are asking these harsh questions because I’m very unhappy with the team’s performances and very unhappy with Ten Hag deflecting the blame away from himself. My Australian-Rules football team in Perth is the West Coast Eagles and we just sacked our coach after a long period of pathetically poor efforts. It took far too long for this sacking to occur and I don’t want to see United go through that same process. It’ll either force Ten Hag to improve or force the club to replace him.
The most worrying thing Ten Hag said is that he needs time. He's not Harry Potter. Its his 3rd Season in charge. The team.has no identity and can't score goals. ????????

Eth played 4 games this season and lost 3 the community shield was the first. Why are you doing with a manager who spent 600m and struggles against teams that play possessional football?
They didn't lose the community shield in open play, only on pens after so I wouldn't consider it the same thing. If anything the Community Shield performance provided some hope for the season that's now being eroded.
@@mistazed1170That's not an excuse, how many players at Liverpool have a full preseason? Many senior players are always giving breaks after international tournament
618 million pounds has been spent on players under ETH. Let that sink in, then look at how the squad is performing . This guy is a distaster, if INEOS want best in class they should remember their mantra when they’re looking at who they have in the dugout .
EtH gaslights and insults fan's/pundits intelligence - we have eyes & ears so when a manager tries to tell you to opposite of what you just witnessed, their credibility, tactics and delusional mindset have to be questioned. And don't even get me started on the bizarre teams/subs. He benches the 'player of the month' (Amad) who scored in the last game as well as the one he paid £80m for (Antony) to instead play Rashford & Casemiro who regularly makes mistakes & haven't put in a good performance in at least 18-months; against your biggest rivals, at home!! MU don't have the luxury of time to spend 3 years discovering if their manager is "the one"... as soon as it starts to go south, get the next man in. Don't blindly & continually back a losing manager whilst expecting a different result (it's the definition of madness)- loyalty has to be earned. Arne Slot hasn't needed 3 years & £610m to settle in at Liverpool. Neither has Fabian Hürzeler at Brighton.
SAF left 13 years ago. Since then they have sucked. They don't have a collected plan for success. ETH is terrible. He doesn't know how to change things.
Honestly, it’s what’s wrong with journalism. This “reporter” is asking the right questions with the wrong motivation. It’s his opinions of Ten Hags mistakes. His questions should be motivated by what the fans are saying not his own bias. I would wager they are the same but his motivation is in the wrong place. Why not ask the same question framed in a way that a large section of supporters are want answers to this this and this as an example.
Im a UTD fan and the eyes dont lie as a team were getting over run by all teams including Coventry in the semi final. The stats dont lie either goals conceded the amount of shots on our goal midfield wide open not creating chances not scoring enough goals the list goes on and on..This is on the manager
As a Utd fan I thought the journalists questions and his points were well said. I liked the fact he asked it . Wish ETH had balls to call a spade a spade!
8th & FA Cup - 8th - 5th, that was Artetas first 3 seasons as an Arsenal manager. If they had mugged him off after at the end of the 3rd season do you think they'd be better or worse off now two seasons later? Fergie finished mid table 3 of his first 4 seasons, would United have been more succesful if they'd given him the road in 1990?
The questions asked by the reporter were absolutely spot on, and these are the kind of questions the board should be asking him. The beggiest problem of this football club has been the board/owners they set the standards, not us fans or the media. Since the board has been changed, we have to be patient. 3 months with the knew management doesn't mean we are suddenly going to become man city.
If this was last year I’d be the first in here defending ten hag (some would say blindly) but mainly due to injuries as why I reserved judgment. But this year, after hearing this, I’ve absolutely no leg to stand on and any criticism ten hag gets for this is rightly deserved. Appalling responses.
ETH is destroying United and his own career. It’s all embarrassing now. What a mess. Every game he wins delays the inevitable and puts United further behind the rest.
What I see is the British media doesn’t like ETH 100%. I watch every single press conference after a loss or a win, it’s always the same just out to get him. It’s unfair, Mauricio Pochettino was so bad last season at Chelsea but the media gave him a pass for some reason 🤷🏽♂️
Common sense would suggest Liverpool are still keeping an eye on him. We still need a specialist number 6 despite Gravenberch impressive form. Also I wouldn’t be surprised if we were looking at cheaper alternative options preferably someone with a release clause
Ten Hag warned us before the first game saying 'we're not ready' The question is why?... a manager after 2 years can come out with a crazy statement like that? What is he really saying without saying? New signings left too late and can't play?
Sometimes giving the thumbs up to a coach so early in the season, can sometimes be the kiss of death to that coach. I’m still not sure what Ten Hags football philosophy is. Can someone enlighten me. I know Peps philosophy as I now know Slots philosophy. Press press and make the other side makes mistakes then pounce and score. What is Tens philosophy??
I'm a fan of ETH and think he needs to be given this season at least to bed in the new players and try get the ball rolling, as we've seen with all the managers post-fergie Manchester United is a very difficult club to manage. 3 individual errors gave liverpool the win, one being a teenager getting muscled off the ball. That being said, there are things in his control right now, one being squad selection & shape. Garnacho and Amad are our in-form attackers at this moment in time yet neither were on the field at the same time Sunday, Casemiro clearly hasn't the legs any more yet is left isolated in midfield consistently. We were massively improved against City in the FA Cup Final and the Charity Sheild when set up properly.
I'm a utd fan, and it's great asking the technical questions (and rare amongst reporters these days) BUT to suggest we nearly went out to Cambridge so it wasn't a great trophy win is an absolute joke. Our European cup win in 1999 was pointless then because we were losing for more than 84 mins and winning for about 30 seconds. It's completely irrelevant what nearly happened, fa cup is ours
Give Rashford space, he needs courage and help to "come out" and then perfiorm better on the pitch. How many more need to set themselves free and be brave in doing so!
I am all in for ETH, but performance and results must change immediately else ETH is in trouble. Whenever a vote of confidence happens you have 3 months for the manager, that is the history of Premier League.
Some unanswered questions.... Why does Manu players (that aren't new to the club) looks so uninterested? Why does the mentality seems like "That not my job so I won't help you if you lose your man" Why professional players make so much bad passes? (just rewatch the game. its easier to see the issue when its not live) Why are the players so scared to make shots or make a good pass to the striker. using Liverpool as example, Their press wasn't even that good. There were open passes that could beat the press easily (Manu beat the press a few times) The big one - Why use Casemiro in role that he is not made to do. He can do it but 4 time out of 10. That no enough. (Issue is Who else do we have? lol) I think he is just to win the ball and pass it to someone who can keep the ball, don't lose it and start a build up. Don't give him too much to do. Our full backs should not be that high also. if they are going to be high, jus t send one. when Manu gave the ball away there were only 3 players to defend. The 2 CB and the CDM. That tactic is all about being perfect with no protection. I call it "RAW DAWG TATics" lol

But what about ETH's philosophy?.. He's taking stick..but its a game of two halves...that new midfielder he's got legs...half the team doesnt turn up.
This team will not improve while TH is the manager.
Sir jim will eventually realise this and he'll be gone.
ger tuchel
Not sure Ineos and Sir Jim Radcliffe are much better…they passed on Thomas Tuchel, to stay with Ten Haag?!
New season same Man United is anyone shocked?
Can see them finishing mid table again.
It’s OK, Gareth’s got this.
Also he hasn’t had a full fit team yet. Half the players didn’t even have pre season
@@jamieh4357It's still a loss
He has spend over £700m on 12 players, and that figure exclude loan in players that have left.
@@mistazed1170That's not an excuse, how many players at Liverpool have a full preseason? Many senior players are always giving breaks after international tournament
Reporter destroyed the fraud
Let's face it he would have been sacked if he wasn't part of the baldy brigade
618 million pounds has been spent on players under ETH. Let that sink in, then look at how the squad is performing .
This guy is a distaster, if INEOS want best in class they should remember their mantra when they’re looking at who they have in the dugout .
As a true diehard United fan, Keep this precious of a gem no matter.. Let's go Sir. Hagie 💪🔥
As a Liverpool fan. Give him a lifetime contract 😂
Northern monkey
@@matthewjamison As an arsenal fan i very much agree
Definitely a troll 😂
@@matthewjamisonyou say that but klopp could only beat him once? Ten hag beat him twice and 2 draws 😬
1,000,000% spot on with your analysis
One of rare times Simon talks some sense without insulting the club
Man thinks he's Jose Mourinho with the media but doesn't have the accolades Jose does to back it up
As a Utd fan I thought the journalists questions and his points were well said. I liked the fact he asked it . Wish ETH had balls to call a spade a spade!
Pep letting him win the fa cup has sent his confidence through the roof
Lord Elite Jordanite = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯 Facts
Anyone know who the journalist who asked that question was
😭PLEASE😭LEAVE 7 Hag ALONE😭😭
😭😭😭😭LEAVE 7 Hag ALONE😭😭
Well I see you have 7 likes, so I decline to add on that.😊
ETH out
The journalist has it spot on
Simon is spot on
Brilliant social media analogy .
Simon makes a lot of sense. In my view not buying a left back put us in jeopardy.
This is Ten Hag's Mike Bassett moment with the fans.
Only two managers, in over a hundred years have won the title with Man Utd.
Ten Hag won’t be the third!!!
Arise Sir Eric😂
I’m still amazed at Crooks interview with ETH “mentality?? I never once said mentalities” ummm “you just said it”
If this was last year I’d be the first in here defending ten hag (some would say blindly) but mainly due to injuries as why I reserved judgment.
The Man Utd hate is hilarious: all fans all media. They can’t get enough of it 😂
Biggest club in world football we’re always on people’s minds
Who is the reporter?
I've just done a community post about it, and then I saw your comment. I think it's Ian Ladyman of the Daily Mail, and an admitted United fan.
Common sense would suggest Liverpool are still keeping an eye on him. We still need a specialist number 6 despite Gravenberch impressive form. Also I wouldn’t be surprised if we were looking at cheaper alternative options preferably someone with a release clause
My idol Derik pen Lag will never make any excuses. 🤡👏🏻
He was counter attacked there 😂
Ten Hag warned us before the first game saying 'we're not ready'
The question is why?... a manager after 2 years can come out with a crazy statement like that? What is he really saying without saying?
New signings left too late and can't play?
Media have been brave with other managers Simon!
No, that's just called football
The LFC mic in front of him 🤣🤣🤣
I'm sure the jernolist said Cambridge in the semi not Coventry lol
Extension to his contract please!!🔴🙏🏿
If you observe Dutch Managers - they are straight shooters and are rarely emotional or excited. I think journalists take advantage of this !
That reporter ball is huge ngl
I'm a utd fan, and it's great asking the technical questions (and rare amongst reporters these days) BUT to suggest we nearly went out to Cambridge so it wasn't a great trophy win is an absolute joke. Our European cup win in 1999 was pointless then because we were losing for more than 84 mins and winning for about 30 seconds. It's completely irrelevant what nearly happened, fa cup is ours
Good journalism
Give Rashford space, he needs courage and help to "come out" and then perfiorm better on the pitch. How many more need to set themselves free and be brave in doing so!
TalkSport at it again
Ten HAG is now a full time job for the English Media
09:25 Manchester united are not ferrari they are williams
More like Ford. The Alex Ferguson days are over. This happened to Liverpool and Chelsea. It’s now Man Utd turn.
@HdHd-hp6qz he was making formula 1 anecdotes, unfortunately there is no ford in formula one ;)
I am all in for ETH, but performance and results must change immediately else ETH is in trouble.
Whenever a vote of confidence happens you have 3 months for the manager, that is the history of Premier League.
Simon Jordan is spot on
Jordan has no clue journalists are now interviewing head coaches not managers as the owners messed it all up
Very Mike Bassett 😂😂😂😂😂
Some unanswered questions....
Why does Manu players (that aren't new to the club) looks so uninterested?
Why does the mentality seems like "That not my job so I won't help you if you lose your man"
Why professional players make so much bad passes? (just rewatch the game. its easier to see the issue when its not live)
Why are the players so scared to make shots or make a good pass to the striker.
using Liverpool as example, Their press wasn't even that good. There were open passes that could beat the press easily (Manu beat the press a few times)
The big one - Why use Casemiro in role that he is not made to do.
If Ten Hag turns this ship around it'll be a bigger shock than when Leicester won the Prem.
Simon just can't help getting in a snide comment about City
TalkSPORT without United wouldn’t exist.
I think you guys should cover man utd more…it’s a disgrace how little coverage utd get on here
A new management team but enough of the talk football is a results driven game.
