Super Robot Wars does this so much its actually super frustrating. There will be a boss with 16,000 HP, who dodges damn near everything you throw at them, has barriers, and hits like a truck. Then, they switch over to your side for you to use and they instantly get massively nerfed in all areas.😑
In the cinematic where he fought 3 Overwatchs heroes at once, (I forgot 2 of them), he was fighting enraged winston which is past Super Human level. Here he does 50 damage with what is supposed to be one of the strongest and most feared hitting in overwatch lore.

As a support main, I truly do not miss it. It is one thing to be pushed around like a pinball. However, it is another to find out that pinball just lost it's life and has to respawn to rinse and repeat the entire game :) I like Doomfist as a character though and I will say they really botched this one.

Please for the love of God... nerf Moira in Total Mayhem! She's broken, literally. Why play any other healer? She can go invincable invisable & gain a speed boost every 3 seconds with her phase shift, you can't kill her because she can spam a healing ball every 2 seconds, or a DMG ball if she decides to backline everyone squishy, kill them all, then focus the tanks and heal her entire team with the balls. They nerfed the shit out of Mei in Total Mayhem, she can't freeze shit and her healing shield takes forever to recharge, Ana's sleep dart has it's normal 16 sec cool down in it, I can't think of all the other abilities. But they made Moira overpowered, giving her dumb fast cooldowns on everything.

Remember when a 1v1 between a Tracer and a Doomfist was *THE* moment you could prove yourself as a Doomfist main? Show yourself how you have mastered Doomfist by reading the Tracer´s movements and anticipated her, it was that ability that separated mortals from gods.
in OW2 Tracer can solo Doomfist with absolutely no effort, and even if Doom manage to hit her, she can survive a full combo

Now make his health 300 and you've got a character completely outclassed by bastion and wrecking ball
At 300 the man is less tanky than reaper, mei, or briggite. You can literally play any role and be tankier than doomfist in open q, and on that same exact character, probably do more damage too (or else healing)
-They should add his uppercut back as a 4th ability but make it so you can only use it while on the ground, kinda like wreckingballs pile driver 50dmg
-give his old slam back as an option if you (hold) the slam button, the damage can go from 50 capping at 75 but sacrificing it for a much smaller slam area/smaller cone. (Adds small air effect like dps doom did) whereas the tankfist slam will add a (small slow duration) like beta ow2 doomfist
- make his powerblock 90Mitdmg or leave it at 100Mitdmg
-empowered+wall is 150dmg instead of 120 because you should be allowed to 1shot a tracer, change stun duration from 0.75 to 0.50 and remove normal punch stun like beta ow2 doom.
-make his max overhealth stack to 700 instead of 650 to make frontlining actually valuable.
-make reload time on primary 0.15 seconds longer
/I say these changes because doomfist has too many counters, no survivability, no damage output whatsoever and it’s very difficult to confirm kills. Ontop of that, doomfist has no real benefits to targeting single individuals anymore whereas every other tank does. Doomfist just needs more mechanics and ways to confirm kills, he’s somehow a terrible tank and a terrible dps, he is nothing rn☹️

it feels like the hitbox of it is as precise as a widow bullet, so even when you're up close trying to punch you miss.

Doom main here, best way to counter doom is either ignore him completely, or focus him entirely. Doom is actually weak enough that you only really need 1 person to focus him with hitscan. Focus him if hes good, ignore if he's bad or learning the character. Im giving this info because i like the challenge. I used tell people to play sombra when i play doom just so i can learn how to counter her. Now i can counter her enough to predict her while invis. I still cant beat sombra onetricks tho, they're too annoying to even try.

The only reason they nerfed him after a week is because idiots like you were extremely mad you didn't learn how to counterplay doomfist because he was shit beforehand. Now he's nerfed even worse than he was in season one because all the fun characters get shit on while the braindead low-effort characters get free passes all the time.
That "buff" wasn't even that good at first and just made him overtuned while making his core gameplay worse.

I remember the good old days when Doom Fist’s punch did 130 damage at full charge when hitting an enemy and 260 damage at full charge when hitting an enemy into a wall.

Yeah that moves horrible. But I dealt with a really good Doomfist who gave my Lucio and a Junker Queen a run for a money. Didn't help he had mercy and Ana helping him out
Not only that but you also wiff like 80% of your punches because apparently the hitbox of the fist is the size of a bullet while McCrees grenade has a hitbox the size of Roadhog
Honestly with doomfist make it so charging his punch below a second does 40damage and low knockback, charging for 1-2.5 seconds it does 50-60 damage and medium knockback, charging for a full 3-4 seconds does 80 damage and full knockback. Wall splats add 20 damage across the board, and when empowered the others hit by it take half damage and half knockback. Also make his slam bounce people up 2 feet, They can slightly move and are slightly slowed.
3-4 seconds of not moving is in no way worth 80 damage that would be like 400. And only 20 damage for walls? The wall knockbacks are SUPPOSED to be his most powerful ability
@@martynas1819 you’ve got a fair point. Maybe wall splat on primary target can do 50-75 damage, but on secondary targets from a charged punch it would do 35-45
if he's gonna need to charge it up for 4 seconss it MUST do at least double the damage
instead of 80 it should do 160 AT LEAST
and empowered should do the 160+50% which is 240
not enough to one shot but worth the 4 second cooldown + 4 second charge which makes him bare vulnerable
taking a risk of being vulnerable in front of the enemies for 4 entire seconds should come with at least 240 damage output considering there is a chance that it may also fail sometimes
Blizzard needs to just say "we messed up" and bring back DPS doom, remove the stun and make it more like a Lucio boop or whip shot so it's less broken

I consider myself a tank main, so when they made DF a tank, I said to myself "well I guess I have to learn how to play doom" and I always said that they should just make him an off tank........ Till this day, I still refuse to play DF.
Having used to play doom fist in OW1 extensively, the switch from damage dealer to tank was a dumb one.

It's almost like Doomfist was a character initially created to be a burst brawler assassin with very high damage
Don’t forget his little piddly quick melee. I remember when he came out and me and my friend died laughing at the fact that this mega weapon in the Overwatch universe wielded by a guy who’s entire kit revolves around punching gets a quick melee that uses his tiny fist versus you know the doomfist
Funnily enough, you soon realize you get more finishing blows with the small melee than actually landing the punch
Wall bounce should do like an extra 110 now Doomfist will be a displacement tank not because he can push you a few inches but because players will reconsider their position.
What it lacks in damage, it makes up for in punishing grouped up enemies. This then forces them to split up... which Doomfist can then punish with his high mobility and primary fire.

i think they should buff doomfist’s damage from 50 to 120 and 150 when the enemy hits the wall, and 200 when he has a charged fist so he can be truly dangerous with a charged fist and not just deal an extra 5 damage

I main doom and the thing I want the most is cut down the cooldown times I always find myself in spots where I’m defenseless waiting for cool downs 😂
Doomfist is a nightmare to balance because his design within a FPS is kinda impossible to simultaneously make “fun to play” AND “fun to play against” . Across OW’s history, Doomfist has always either been trash like he is now, or a menace to society who makes the game unplayable because you can’t walk 2 feet without getting, slammed, stunned, bounced, and launched into walls at high velocity. His placement as a basically melee only hero with little to no shields means either he needs to be practically unkillable through movement abilities and passives, or make him be able to instant kill people so he can get value, otherwise the second Doomfist jumps in he would be feeding. If they choose the former, well congrats you have a tank who is certainly annoying to play against, and since there’s only one tank now, somewhat annoying to have on your team if the enemy tank is making mincemeat of your teams back line while doom goes and fails to even kill a support.
I hope that when… or if the PvE ever comes out, we get to play a lore accurate Doomfist who we don’t need to worry about the feelings of the enemies. PvE will let characters be broken for the sake of enjoyment.
Playing OverWatch 2 is pretty underwhelming right now.

i really want him as dps again. take away the old one shot against a wall, sure, but everything good and fun about him is gone. worst tank in the game with the worst ult in the game.
Let’s also add the fact that his gauntlet can LEVEL A SKYSCRAPER
Doom main from bronze all the way to diamond 1 trick, there’s a few ways to buff him without breaking the game, first reduce punch cool down, with the 1 second stun gone this won’t affect cc time that much and allow doom to actually put more pressure on to a team, lower the dmg needed for enhanced punch, and maybe widen the center of his ult a tiny bit, everything else is fine

he is a brawler, close combatant he is most likely to be shot at cuz he will be in range
make him tankier
like a 550 health pool with 150-200 armour or 200-275 shields (I'd prefer armour personally for doomfist)
and nerf his passive max overhealth to 150 max so that he caps out at a maximum of 700 hp

I feel like making Doomfist a DPS and Mei a tank like the community was asking for when OW2 was first announced would be so much better. Mei has actual tank util. Add back her freeze, make it take a bit longer to get back, and boom. Good hero.
It's even worse because everything cancells the charge and even if you hit a fully charged punch there are soo many get out of jail free cards in the game now that you can't follow up the punch with anything sometimes
I knew that damn thing felt weak. Even when going up against a Doomfist (I suck against most heroes, mind you), it feels less like a threat and more like a nuisance
I was hyped that they were making doomfist into a tank at first, but all they did was boost his hp, nerf his entire kit, and give him a crappy block (that is basically the same as ramattra but with a cooldown). His rework honestly feels worse than any of the ideas made in the workshop by fans prior to overwatch 2. They should have just left him as a dps.

“He can level a sky scraper” they addressed this after he came out and gave him a carpenters level spray.

A good doomfist is a nightmare. I fought a diamond one the other day. I had to play Ana and sit with my hog who was on a similar wavelength just to compete.
When doom was a dps this was doing like 300 damage with a wall collision but apparently people don’t want to play against someone who has multiple one shots in 1 rotation, high mobility, and multiple CCs
if you give soldier a doomfist punch he would be an absolute menace
a lot of characters would trade their liver for the doomfist punch
all doomfist punch would be good for is a bit of mobility, you'd get more value than empowered punch with orisa spear
problem is the community have cried and cried about this character for many years. Blizzard unfortunately listened too them and changed how his punch works :(

Yesterday i was practicing my junker queen, lost 7 matches in a row. For the last game went back to doomfist. Absolutely decimated the enemy team. Went to sleep happy

This isnt the root of the problem. You not only have to land this weak hit, but also land 4 perfectly aimed, spread-based left click shots, then maybe add a melee into the mix, all the while the target receives no healing (which is highly improbable). I have many times gotten an enemy down to 10-20 hp, only for them to be outhealed way out of my damage potential (as doomfist's left click reload is extremely slow, and his punch has a 4 second cooldown). Thus, I am left with no option but to retreat without a kill due to this razor thin margin of error
Playing doomfist feels very underwhelming, I have a brig ult on CD every 4 second. how will I manage.
He's so useless as a tank they didn't have to ruin him just make it so he doesn't one hit. Why is this shit so hard for them?
