- Station 42 empties! Truck 3 is seen first after diverting from a seizure to the fire. Engine 42, Squad 1 (Both the box and snorkel are using spare rigs), and Command Van 2-7-1 follow.
This is the video I have been wanting to get for a long time!
I think the officer on 2-7-1 waved, thanks! Авто/Мото
I'm amazed how fast the CFD hits the road, seriously they're DAMN quick.
WOW! Both squads are spares and they going down a one way street in the wrond direction!
Nice Catch!!!!
Lol!!
im obsessed with chicago squads
Gotta love to see a snorkel responding
All fire apparatus go before any non-fire equipment (medic units, etc) when responding to a fire calls
@51ENGINE51 2-7-1 is a command/communications unit. It responds on all working fires and high rise incidents. Truck companies also carry paramedics so they can also respond if the engine is elsewhere.
It’s cool to see squad 3 before it was even painted for the show
Nice response!
Great catch! :)
my cousin used to chaffuer on squad 1. he basically said any truck not entirely recquired to fight a fire will go last. ie chiefs engines ladders then mobile command units if requested
Great catch
it kind of rare how squad 1 and 1A are both using the G spare and its also pretty rare that there going left
Very cool! Good job!
Hey, S1 is using the HME that "S3" uses!
Nice video!
Probably so as not to get in the way of working rigs; as the command post, it's going stay back anyway, away from the scene. Side streets can get narrow, no sense clogging the path up if you can avoid it. Compared to other departments, Chicago sends command vans fairly early, at upgraded first alarms (Full Still, "Still & Box"); other places typically wait until the third alarm.
How many Firefighters are on staff here? Nice catch!
AWESOMEE WORDS CANT DESCRIBE
@powah061 I'm not sure the exact numbers of staffing, so I am going to make educated guesses. 4 or 5 on an engine, as well as the truck; 2 on each ambulance (Two at this station); 4 or 5 or so on Squad 1and two on 1A; and one or two on the command van. There is also DDC 1 at this station.
It's because 2-7-1 responds with only one FF and is due on the Working Fire Response.
all your answers are correct but its common sense engine goes first because they have to set up hoses at the scene truck never gets in the way of that then truck sets up the aerial (IF engine crew is going interior) and as for squad they operate as anything but truck is ahead because of the aerial also CV is a Command Post for Chiefs and its non-fire apparatus like some of you said :)
271 stayed last so the other squad snorkel caught up with the rescue
This is how Chicago is the engine goes out first then then the truck or squad and 271
First time I’ve seen them turn left instead of right because of the one way
I'm guessing that they have a set order in which trucks go out.
or because 2nd to last truck to leave is collapse 1a so it responds to all call with squad one (fact)
That is definitely a PA300 on the snorkel
and the SUV to the left of the camera is using a spare as B453
Y pensar que ese camion de escuadron paso por Severide, Cruz, Tony y Capp y tambien por la unidad hazmat, no?
awesome video was it anything
the second truck that came out with the bucket,how many men were in there? Looks like 2 men.Also how old is that truck?
I like how they go against traffic on a one way street in order to get there ASAP.
Yup. If the Squad's are going, they don't fuck around. My dad drove Squad 1. His last day, I got to the House about a minute before they went on a run. Ask one of the guys I knew where my dad was and he points me to the rig. He tells me to get in, and the next thing I know, we're coming up to a light and swerve hard left, into the (empty) Oncoming lane doing 70. We (well, they) were responding to Captain Herbie Johnson's Mayday call.
@sfdtruck52 because of the size?
@sfdtruck52 Yes 5 guys on both engines and trucks
So your saying 25 total firefighters?!
@rykember11 5 on both engine & truck 6 on squad 2 on comm van 4 on ambo's 2 on DDC = 24
I think the Squad units are supposed to stay together , im not sure though.
They are.
coooooool
Trucks 3: haha I’m first get lost
The comand van 2-7-1 "stages" so comapnies can go to work on the fire ground they are out of the way
Why did 271 wait and go out last?
Because the second half of squad was still pulling out in Chicago squad units are two trucks squad 1 and squad 1a he knew the second truck was right behind the first one
So they don't have an accident coming out of the station?
djo9C1 You'd be surprised how much training Engineers go through to learn how to drive those Rigs
Do they use the Hme squads as spare rigs
Squad 5's HME (G517) is used as a spare and Squad 1A's HME Snorkel (G518) is also used as a spare not sure about Squad 1 and 2's HME Rescue Squads and 2A and 5A, However sometimes they'll use G510 aka old Squad 3 from Chicago Fire and G482 and G483 for the snorkels if needed but those might be scrapped out by now
@@billypetty1453 okay. Thanks for the info!
Does anyone know what siren the snorkel has?
It’s an older model PA300 siren.
@@rykember11Thank you I’ve been wondering for a while!
squad G510 as spare squad and squad G482 as snorkel spare
@ciciora123 271 had two guys on it.
I don't think so.
1:14 what happened to the pitch of the siren
LeBron James It’s an old siren. Sometimes they do that.
That's a regular electronic siren in yelp mode, I believe. I think someone is hitting the manual switch to make it jump pitch
whats 2-7-1? and also why was a truck on a medical instead of the engine?
Mobile command center
Squad 1A is using G482? why?
squad 1 is using G510 and the reserve on 1A used to be G483
@@firechaser2010 Uhm, actually G483 used to be 2A. And 1A used to be on G482.
CV - Command Vehicle
@sfdtruck52 and 274
Oh I hate those mobile command units. They’re very slow.
@sfdtruck52 We?
I really dont see a point in that
Spell Check *wrong*
sorry but worst sirens ever!!!
Ok and shut up then.
So don’t even say nothing.
