I was super impressed by this. By far the best of even the mid price scanners. All for $50. Reads transmission adapts, TC slip, on and on. All the sensors and voltages.
The better question the should be asked “ Are mechanics going to embrace their customers having this info ?” I say this because I bought it after having issues with my vehicle. Sent it off to a mechanic I don’t recognized. They told me I needed a new (Transmission ). I said ok what the cost ? They told me “3000 to 5000” so I said no had it towed back . I was going to have it junked. Well the tow guy was like “does the vehicle move ?” Of course I said no. He turned it on my car not only went into driver and reversed it didn’t skip gears . So I called my mechanic from home , told him what had happen. He told no way possible that it’s a transmission if it moves. So I bought this device . It diagnosed I needed a oxygen sensor and I had a plugged catalytic converter. I was so disappointed in the previous mechanic just trying to rip me off .
It looks like it shows immobilizer hot functions too. I figure once you actually try the Hot Functions listed, it's going to tell you after all your keys been erased to enter a PIN # you don't know how to get or tell you Function Not Supported or failed after all the keys been erased . Probably going to result in more DIY cars getting towed to shops. Cool though
I’m glad your experience is much better than mine . I just bought one an hour ago from Walmart . Installed everything and updated it all . First scan it showed the wrong vin . I typed in the vin it told me I had a 2019 Jeep Wrangler . I have a 2011 Chevy equinox . Then after trying again it keeps saying not connected to device when I hit anything in the app
Sorry to hear you had issues. One thing I found was I forgot to update the Software on the VCI itself and that solved a lot of issues. I know you can call 855-288-3857 for Autel Tech Support and they can try and help
hey im looking to buy a used car and was thinking of picking this up to check out the cars i look at to make sure they dont have any issues,do you think this is a good idea for that?
If you are only scanning one brand of vehicle this is a perfect solution. If you were trying to scan multiple brands that make cause you more expense, you could also look into an MD808P
You don't have to "read" the vin every time. It's permanently recorded in app memory. Just hit the rectangle with the down arrow and click the vin you want.
Can you help me? Will this tool read my 2001 VW transmission temperature? My car needs transmission fluid changed and without a tool to read it’s temp… it’s impossible!! Please help thanks
i just recently seen this at wally world i have a 05 ford f250 6.0 the live data caught my attention how does this work on diesels specifically a bad injector/injector test?
You will be able to see the live data for the injectors, like fuel pressure, injector pulse, duty cycle. However this tool doesn't have any "Tests" you can't do a buzz test or injector kill... Just live data
Um, this guy, Chad Schnitz, is the national sales manager for Autel! He's not just some random mechanic reviewing a tool, as this video portrays him to be. Lol I love the story of how he just happened to find this tool while he was shopping at Wal-Mart. Hilarious! Yeah, and monkeys might come flying out of my butt too! How about being more honest and forthcoming in your marketing Autel? If this is a great product you shouldn't need to sell it with deceptive, disingenuous tactics, like dressing up your national sales manager as an indy mechanic who works out of his garage to make an "unbiased" user review video of your product. Oh, and how dumb are you to feature him in other videos on your channel, wearing his Autel uniform and hoping, I guess, that nobody would notice? Lol! You can't make this stuff up! ruclips.net/video/gS6iJARP5JQ/видео.html
I own this product and several other OBD2 scanners and I can tell you that the HT200 uses the same vehicle-specific software as the high-end Autel, Launch, Topdon and ThinkCar/Thinktool scanners. And 14 reset/service functions are included at no additional cost. What it doesn't do is bi-directional/actuation controls/tests and ECU coding.
Wow that sucks that he did us like he did but I gotta admit it's a really nice OBD2 dongle for the price and knowing if it's junk like the innova I just paid $114 for at oreillys at least Walmart has an easy return policy
I have the same OBDII scan tool please please download the proper app for your vehical you get all the furures plus more too test your vehical right mine came out telling me with the ford app I have a bad powertrain control module witch is accurate cause my 2006 Lincoln Zephyr had problems with the main computer going out
Is there two apps to download ? We got this tool at wallmart ,but got it at 10% off bc someone brought it back on a refund and after downloading what the app store showed it's not giving me all these options that it's giving this guy here in the video the wise guy but anyway what it is doing let me get registered and the color on the chip itself was a green at first and then after I registered it it would turn to blue but as you can see about in the 5-minute marker so 515 and the right of the screen he's got a picture of the app and all the little zip files he didn't do that for me is that because someone has already probably processed the goods out of this thing and I'm like f****** with some trash here that's already been used or am I missing something in the app store
I have same one for same problem abs light cant seem to find it on my toyota plus when it was plugged in the engine would not kick start nothing i had to pull keys out unplug scared me i paid 65 for this so i can know what exactly is wrong with my car in certain areas anyways like your video its alot better then the last one i watched
Check the pins on the OBD2 connection. I have seen this issue when the pins on the dongle get bent, or if the pins in the connectory are worn or broken.

You are the customer. You can tell them you want them to replace the oxygen sensor and that’s it and they should just do it.
Bought this thing on a whim and I'll be damned if it isn't the most useful tool that I own.
Thanks for honest review. Before I spend$60
on the HT 300, I wanted to check reviews...

Yes, you should have no problem getting trans temp using this tool.
Please sir can you use AP200 to programming ECM, and am from Ghana how can i get some thank you for your good job
There are no programming capabilities on the AP200 you would need a J2534 device to program.
Will this read injector balance rates and boost psi?
Does it allow you to test alternator, transmission, starter and battery? in using it to buy a used family car
The testing of the battery, starter, and alternator would be done by onother tool. Yes yo transmission testing and codes
So do you have to buy the apps all over again when you change your phone?
The Apps follow your registration ID, if you change phones you will use your same log in on the new phone and re download the apps

Into the OBD2 Port, usually near your knees under the steering wheel.
We need a Walmart and a Home depot and a Rileys in the uk

Can this tell you about your ac
You will have access to the HVAC module and live data. You will have to know what to look for inside that module.

Will this do a forced regeneration
Yes, you can do DPF force regen on vehicles up to 1 ton
