I just picked up this exact model for free due to the same issue rendering it "curb garbage" and I'll be doing everything you mentioned this weekend! Have you by chance ran over the coils with a UV light to see if it is leaking at all?
@@robertnamba Yes, I had to recharge one more time, I had Freon, took 10 minutes... So maybe still a slow leak, may repeat the Leak Stop one more time, will cost about $20
@@ginandmore I have the same and worked fine for almost a year and had to recharge it again. This will keep happening until the source of that minute leak is found and fixed... and I have a feeling this is common issue with all these units ... but if we find the source of the leak please share as this will give more life to it.
I will say that they have customer service number where people actually answer the phone, they have spare parts department, those things alone are amazing.... Mine is still working after this fix
Since your wine cooler failed in so short a time period, hopefully you simply returned it for a refund a/o exchange rather than attempt to repair the thing!

I did, and couldn't see anything... It's still cooling like new.... Glad I didn't take to the curb, they are too expensive not to fix
Did you confirm R134A refrigerant is compatible with R600A in the cooler?
This seems to have done the trick for me too, thank you! Question though: how did you know that 12psi was the target?
I saw on another RUclips video about a refrigerator, and that's about the same he mentioned... Just don't overcharge, it becomes less effective
How much do you think you spent on the parts to fix?
If my compressor is kind of hot to the touch is that normal?
Why do you refil with R134A when Edgestar works on R600A? If it's OK to mix them?
How is it holding up? I just took my Frigidaire Gallery back wall off and can visibly see were the PAG oil has been leaking from the coils.
It's been several months, and still stays icy cold

I got an edge star and a month later it crapped out on me. Smh never buying from this company again
