I'm 39 and was raised in the 80s on cream of wheat by my grandparents. There's something about that older generation that loved it. I have to make me some.
I am 30 and grew up in the 90’s eating it thanks to my grandparents as well 😅 I still eat it every day still thanks to them. I just adore it.
I haven't had Cream Of Wheat in years, now I want some.

Watching this makes me want to cry. My family is from Haiti 🇭🇹 and I have such warm memories of my mom and grandma making me cream of wheat. It’s still my favorite. I still remember one day my mom made a comb of oatmeal with cream of wheat. It was pure magic! ❤️❤️❤️🤗

I love Cream of Wheat. It is especially good for kids when they have stomach lu as it is mild, stays down, and stops diarrhea. Nothing beats it, except maybe hot buttered grits, fried eggs and good maple flavored thick cut Virginia bacon or ham.

We were first introduced to Cream of Wheat by our Gam Gam when we were in elementary school! She used just milk and sugar, but we did eat it with buttered toast! Thank you for posting this!

Thank u for making this! My granddad use to make this for me all the time & I've been trying to make cream of wheat successfully ever since he passed away.
I take mine off burner as soon as it thickens adding milk first to let it sink in, then a little butter and after those mix in sprinkle sugar to taste.

I absolutely love cream of wheat. I also use the same ingredients with two additional. I mix my carnation milk water and sugar (less than u use tho lol) together n boil before I stir in the cream of wheat which makes it lump less. Lastly I add a little salt which enhances the sugar flavor and I add a couple slices of white American cheese. U can't taste the cheese but it just adds somehow to the creamy flavor. Think I'll fix some for breakfast now lol
I love it lumpy! I clicked on your video because I misread the title and thought you were going to show how to make it lumpy 😂 I add protein powder to mine it’s delicious, sometimes I add an egg as well which might sound strange but it’s amazing. It makes it taste like pudding/custard.

Don’t stir it as much and it will be lumpy
Pour the Cream of Wheat in the boiling water and act like you forgot about it for a minute or so then stir it.
Just dump it all in at one time instead of drizzling it in gradually. It will be lumpy. 😝
I consider mastering cream of wheat as knowing how to leave half the chunks in.
I always mix in half, stirring for a moment. Then dump in the other half and walk away without stirring.
Come back and break up the chunks.
Cream of wheat makes me think about my great grandmother. So many sweet memories. I think I’ll have some in the morning ❤️

Everything is better with butter 😘 I love cream of wheat and love the "fat" version. I use milk though, 1/2 heavy cream and 1/2 whole milk. BTW what I thought everyone loved the lumps!

Cream of Wheat with butter, sugar and milk is the best of the best of comfort foods. That said, y'all, for the sake of your arteries, PLEASE don't use that much butter. Even for a RARE treat that amount of butter per serving is insane. Might as well eat a bucket of Crisco.

No Power actually no sugar isn’t anywhere near as bad for your body as butter or other dairy products. Our bodies are designed to assimilate sugar not animal fat. Granted high amounts of refined sugar aren’t good but in moderation it will never hurt you. And contrary to popular belief sugar does NOT cause diabetes! In fact insulin actually works better with sugar

Love C.O. W, I use french vanilla creamer to apply taste without adding sugar for healthy reasons no butter necessary. Cinnamon is good as well (bp) and added fruit's of my choice. Yummy Good!😁

I eat cream of wheat almost every morning but I just buy the instant type. Maple and Brown sugar to which I add butter and my own homemade cinnamon sugar...yes please!!! A few little lumps and mmmm mmmmm my day is set!! Throw in a couple of pieces of buttered toast to dip in the cream of wheat and ohhhh yeah!!!

My oldest brother used to make this for me when I was younger and I just got some and made some because im missing him and also craving it when I saw we had some in my pantry I started boiling milk, added the cream of wheat and mixed it really well, added sugar to my liking, and some cinnamon and added some milk at the end to one, cool it down and two, makes it thinner

Use a whisk and you'll never have lumps. Also a little vanilla and cinnamon, then you don't even need butter.

-Use a whisk instead of spoon
-Use milk instead of water for creamier richer cereal

I love Cream of Wheat and eat it loaded with butter and sugar! Cream of Wheat, a couple of pieces of buttered toast and a glass of ice cold milk and I'm in hog heaven. It's one of my favorite meals any time of the day or night, especially in Winter. I would love to see you make a video for how to make grits. I love them too but haven't mastered making them yet.

I just love the taste and smell of cream of wheat. Honestly, though. I just only empty one packet into a small serving sized cereal bowl, add 1/4 of a cup of milk, properly stir it until it turns all liquid-y, heat it up for 30 seconds, add a little teaspoon of sugar, and I just enjoy with whatever beverage goes great with it. I really don't add any butter or maple syrup in it at all, sincerely. Anyways, I like all kinds of flavored oatmeal: Strawberries in cream, peaches in cream, blueberries in cream, maple brown sugar, apple cinnamon, and this, of course.
