My son just asked me to make him Farina. He is 29 years old😂.. His father and I feed this to him and his sister when they were 1 in up until. I recently had my daughter ship me two boxes of Farina because they do not sell it where I live. I know how to make it, but, it has been so long since I made it. I googled and this was the first video I chose. I just made some for me and my son and let me tell you!!!! I almost cried from the feeling of nostalgia!! Taste just like my abuelas used to! My son loved it too!! Gracias!!🙌🏽🇵🇷
My Abuelita use to make this for us before school. Never knew I'd miss it so much. Thank you. I got the box of farina but need to get the rest of the ingredients lol.
Hi, yes! I grew up eating Farina and so did my children. I have not had it in a while though. You posting about it made me want some. Thank you for sharing.
Haven’t had this since my mom passed. This was my favorite as a kid. I would try and make it as a kid but would always ruin it hahah i think I’ll give it a try lol
Love this video you explained perfectly. Definitely will follow your channel - I just made for myself, it came out delicious. Next time I will make for my Puerto RIcan nephew - I hope he likes it. I also love the bible quote, took a moment to reflect -Thank you.
I just bought and made some farina using the box instructions but it didn’t taste like how my abuela used to make it :( Next time I will definitely be using this recipe!! Thank you so much for posting!
This was the best! My boys had crowns & 🦷🤕 fillings @dentist today and needed something soft to eat that kept them full and this was so tasty. I added a little pad of butter, sprinkle of raisins & when it was done cooking a big spoonful of vanilla honey Greek yogurt. It almost tasted like arroz con leche but smooth ❤
When I make farina with milk it doesn't come out right. It actually comes out better when I make it with water than when milk. But I love the taste better with milk So how do I make it with milk without it being hard lumpy etc
@@bperez8656 oh ok. I didn't know it takes milk longer to boil. Someone else on here actually recommended me to make it with water then add milk to it which is what I've been doing. And it comes out better. I just hate when I have the lumps

Try adding a little bit more milk and make sure you’re cooking it at a low/medium heat all while stirring constantly. That should help!
@@mariscookingpr ok thank you
It’s probably the fact that milk takes longer to boil and get the perfect texture
But it’s def better with milk when done patiently and correctly
