Official data on on fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, electric power consumption and electric range were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. For newly type-tested vehicles since 01.01.2021, the official data no longer exist according to NEDC, but only according to WLTP. I just read that there will be a 748 hp variant. The BMW XM Label Red. Thank goodness 🙏 Hopefully the acceleration will also be significantly better than the normal XM (0-100 km/h [0-62 mph] in 4.3 seconds).
I now only hope that the weight of the XM Label Red will be significantly reduced. At least optionally. The above competitors weigh about 600-700 kg less. Half a ton less and a top speed of over 310 km/h and you already have the fastest SUV in the world. All this for less than 260,000€ and it would be the cheapest and certainly the most popular of the three SUVs 😅

Strange that this car only has 660-ish hp, the s63 engine (4.4liter v8) puts out 630 alone, the hybrid system is still weak? Or did i miss sumething

Yes.
Performance wise the electric motors are probably mostly there to help in the lower end of the powerband, so it will likely feel like a MUCH more powerful car overall even though it's just 30hp more.

They made it hybrid only to help reduce the emission. If the government didn't set out any emission regulation, they would've put a pure NA non hybrid engine.

Over the course of 2023, an even more powerful model variant will be added to the BMW XM line-up. The combined output of the plug-in hybrid system will be boosted to 550 kW/748 hp for the BMW XM LABEL RED. 😎

@@BMWM This is actually very disappointing. I thought it should be about 750 hp 🤔 The XM has just 18 hp more than the BMW M5 CS. Only the XM weighs significantly more than the M5 CS. What were you thinking 🤦🏻♂️
It is hopelessly lost in a direct comparison with a Lamborghini Urus Performante or Ferrari Purosangue. This is indeed an extreme disappointment.

The design of the exterior and interior is perfect. In mineral white and with the gold trim colors and gold rims, it looks classier than any other car in the world.

I know that SUV's are the way to success in car industry nowadays, but it will be hard for the car culture to accept this. They are big, usually heavy and a 4 seater and hard to tune. When Ford tried making the mustang into an SUV it got a lot of hate. It is good to make cars for the general public but when it comes to powerful beasts, that hopefully will become a well known car for good reason, then it shouldn't be an SUV.
Hold on a V8 mixed with electric producing 653HP. Holy cow.

The concept of the powertrain with a big engine and the electric driving is quite nice, combining efficency and the regulations with emotions, although the exterior is something you need to get used to... I'd much rather see this technology in a sedan or coupe.
