That rear torn up happens when you jam it in gear ⚙️ without using the clutch. Probably was an old trash hauler that’s why it has a 10 speed,most common trans out there and if you’ve seen those trash haulers you’d have to check their green cards
So a week ago, I ripped the tendon going from my forearm to my bicep, lifting some heavy shit. Luckily, I was a work, so I've been recovering on the company dime. Watching you lift that center section back into place legit made me go pop another vicadin. 😂

At the end of the weekend sell it. With a C15 at Onaway, it shouldn’t be hard to sell, especially if someone needs an engine quick. Thanks for the Videos, Wayne. As good as what was left of the pinion teeth and how the ring gear teeth were chipped on the outer edge, my money would be on the carrier bearing adjuster threaded ring being blown out of the carrier. Those Rockwell diffs were pretty common in the later 90's, if my old memory serves me 20145 or 40145, should be on the id tag on the diff.
I guess Josh from the Adept Ape channel is probably your best bet for anything CAT. Always enjoying the vids Wayne. Even finding myself saying ‘That’s convenient’ every now and then 🤣. I felt so much better knowing I’m not the only one that would’ve left that torch in there. I felt your pain on that one.
Is it possible to clear most of that shrapnel out of the forward diff and full time lock power through to the rear diff ,,, ? ,,, KT-3406-E is very knowledgeable on Cat ECU's ,,, !
Nice video. That diff is a rockwell rd 20-145 they're notorious for blowing up the ring an pinion because the side adjuster on the the thrust side always spits out because they bore the side adjuster thread bore too lose ,so the ring gear walks away from the pinion gear. It also needs to be drilled an tapped for a thrust bolt that'll cure that problem.
That International may not deserve the Cat 6NZ anymore...............but the condition of the chassis tells me it might deserve another enine as a collector truck . It's obvious Jimmy loves you and wants to help you with stick and stones........wont break your bones . I'm astounded by your curiousity in fixing the big trucks that you've tackled in the 15 years I've known you . Thanks for the entertainment .
I’ve had two of those trucks and the throttle sensor does go bad. My experience it would be at 700 RPM then violently it would go up to 1300 RPMs and you have to be really careful with that or you’d rip out the diff.

i have a friend that runs a old military semi running hay 13/6 runs backraods hes nuts he uses maps old school way he has a old 1947 military semi in his barn that thing is huge but worthless as a workhorsre nowadays top speed 45

From my memory (I think/could be wrong) MT2 and MT4 is the torque curve setting for when your in your top gears.
