I'm always looking for old classic semi trucks to save and restore. I'm also always looking for trucks or parts Detroit Diesel related. If you have one that needs to be saved or you know of one you can drop me an email at the following address: Ol2Stroker@gmail.com

Just throw that pipe right out through the fender and put a big semi intake filter on the side, that’ll grab some cool air! 🤣
Them four wheel drive actuators are a pain! Did away with it on mine with a cable pull set up from summit racing.
The intake seems like one of those times where a prototype was being made and then the dude decided " eh fuck it, good enough" and didn't finish building it. The whole front axle assembly sort of feels like that to me too.
dang man!, that's so cool there's a Detroit Diesel in that Suburban!!.... frickin awesome!!
Air filter setup from 2000 6.5 diesel Chevy will work perfect for that . Grabs cold air through fender
That Suburban must be a speed demon with that 4-53 under the hood.
Cutting on the band saw, you should wear safety glasses, you don’t need eye problem. Good job on the intake pipe.👍👍✌️
You have to hold your tongue to the lift... Click ya heels together..tell ya self that it was st. Louis. Not Kansas....an the 4×4 well work..😆👍👍👍
Quite a bit of Wile E Coyote engineering seen from the former owner. Joyous! It definitely needed your expertise to get it all fixed up!
Uh oh Jimmy has the cone of shame lol, what did the walnut do?
Great video Wayne really enjoyed watching you work on this suburban. Nice work on the intake tub for the air filter. Sounding better too. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Wayne.
Dont ever think about someone elses life choices, delete them, because they are usually not good for you or the vehicle your working on.
While I agree that IFS 4wd sucks hard but those are good trucks. Surviving better than the competitors of the time.
I’d love to put a 8V92 in my wife’s 2005 LLY duramax powered 2500HD… the city I worked for had 2 8v92, and 1 6v92, and a 6-71 powered fire trucks. LOVED the sound. Unfortunately weight wise I’d prolly have to go 6v92. Those still sound great!
You will have your work cut out installing a 6V53 never mid 6V71 or 6V92.
Hi, Wayne! Rick D here! I see ya givin’ er the old how ya doin’, mama, like Steve Lavimoniere, a plumber I watch on you toob as well! He also says “she’s a leaka, Mama!” Too! 🤣 He is a cool cat, too, over in Massachusetts. It is MIIIINNNT! 👌👌👌 Ya are doing a great job! And tge reason you are continuing this project, as I would, is because of that awesome, beautiful 2 stroke Clark cycle marcel under that hood! 😋 She’s a PEACH! Keep up the good work! I am diggin’ every sect of it! ROCK ON, man!! 🤘🤘🤘 😊
Thanks for the show Wayne 🍻
Fortunately for me I'm not a thinned skinned GM owner. Then again everything I've owned has been a 2500 series although I don't know if that makes a difference. Jimmy would probably appreciate an Ol2Sroker sticker on his cone of shame.
You should know Detroit's mark their territory!
Just box the filter in and put a vent in the hood above it simple way to get clean cool air to it
Nice job cleaning up the inner fender, Wayne-o! That's worth at least 10 horses!
Have a good weekend wayne
Awesome video uncle Wayne love the fact you try to save and configure new way to use the ol 2 strokers! Pun intended 😂. What truck shows are you going to this year? Greenwich got moved to a new location this year I heard?
You can probably cut up the inner fender to get some fresh air then just put some metal to slow down warm air off the exhaust
True, hot air does not contain enough oxygen because its air density is poor. You will also lose power. The inner fender has a round hole which is the original air intake.
All i know is that these actuators are a hell of a lot better than that vacuum POS on the dodges of this era, plus owning a 400 and a second gen gotta say the 400 are much much better trucks.
Its a cool piece of kit Wayne but she does screech a bit 😉 Love watching this stuff though 😊
Good stuff Wayne
Wayne-O - Like you and all our fellow like minded psychos, yeah - the mid 90s Suburban basis is the polar opposite of the 453 that provides the noise and smoke. But put them together and you've got something any of us would love to drive. Looking forward to the next one, brother.
Wes in Pittsburgh
Hot air does not contain enough oxygen because its air density is poor. You will also lose power and the engine will also smoke more easily. The inner fender has a round hole which is the original air intake. Cover the air filter and connect it to that hole. The part you threw away is actually the original cold air snorkel bottom. It sucks cold air from behind the mask.
could make a shield around the air filter.
Hello Wayne, the engine needs cold air not hot.
You like a challenge that's why you like it.
"The government doesn't tell me when to fuel my motor" spoken like a true libertarian
The only thing I really hate about those GM's is the door hinges.. fml pain the ass
Wayno glad to see you like GM as I do GMC. God's Mechanical Curse it's also good when the local boys make it better
I'm just now realizing Wayno sounds much like Bueno=good, =Well according to google translate 😁
Wayne, what transmission is behind that 63? These days, you pretty much want an OD to keep the RPM down to 2000 on the highway.
Hellow Wayne an family
The only thing better than a new 2 stroker video is hearing you shit on GM garbage 🤣 I’m gonna have to revisit the comments section in a couple days and see how butthurt the Chevy guys got 🤣 great vid bud 👍
Struck a nerve when you said that platform is a POS. Not gonna lie 😢
After owning one for years and working on them I have to agree with him.
There’s nothing special about them. They had a lot of transfer case and other drive line issues.
That’s just cause your a pussy
Rarely ever have had any issues out of the many I have had..but I mean that one is definitely roached lol
They were all junk, ford Chevy dodge, I just always prefer my junk to wear a bowtie
What was that boost valve thing doing before you neutered it?
What you need is to take an make yourself a passenger side fresh air scoop out of a mailbox. If it's raining? Close the mailbox😂
👍🏻🍻
150% Agreed 😂👍
Poor doggy is wearing the cone of shame.
Why did someone use PVC and rivet it together? Maybe that other someone couldn't weld and figured PVC and rivets were a good idea.
Douglas , DC-3 , C-47 ,,, ? ,,, that exhaust manifold wasn't deigned to have even temps , but that's standard with most diesels , short of LeMans ,,, !
Idk, my 99 GMC Suburban was kind of a piece of junk, it liked going through lifters, but my 94 Suburban and 92 Silverado had been great trucks, aside from the normal wear stuff, as an ex Ford mechanic I can't say I'd own a 90s Ford with the stupid crap they did.
I think that piece of plastic chillin was the cold air intake either under the support or threw
hate gm but like detroit?
Yup
G.M.C. general mountain claimer...or gay mans car????i don't thank your the ladder of the two👍👍👍
Manual trans swap
Ffs Wayne just put a snorkel on it
.....
Welding with rubber gloves wtf are you thinking
You got your work cut out for you cleaning up other peoples life choices Wayne
Wayne are you going to to Athens this year
Love the video, hate this truck.
Crazy but cool choice of replacement engines, but you really couldnt find another weezy old 305 to stuff back in?at least the bolts could be reused.just being an asshole, good luck with it.
Ru still going 2 use that junk air filters
Another day, another hack and choppathon
Turn off your stupid phone notifications, ding, ding frigging ding. Wtf
Hey look it's a RUclipsr.
So did you actually accomplish anything?
Finish the god damn thing
