- 1-1/2 loaf French or Italian loaf if you want to use brioche you can like I did
4 eggs
4Tbls melted butter
Vanilla
Rasins
2cups milk
2cups heavy cream
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
1-1/2 cup sugar
Vanilla sauce
5 egg yolks only

My grandparents had a dairy farm & the noon meal always had bread pudding for desert when I was a kid on summer vacation & I remember it like it was yesterday. I am 75 now!

I was in search of a bread pudding recipe because we had some of the worst bread pudding ever, over the Thanksgiving holiday and I wanted to replace those bad food memories with good ones. Well, this recipe did not disappoint. I've never made bread pudding before so I was a little scared, but watching you and hearing your comments kept me motivated. And I'm glad I tried it because this is the best bread pudding I've eaten. My sons are absolutely loving it. It's so delicious. It's one of those deserts that releases it true flavors as you continue to chew it. I actually paused mid chew and was like...WTH??! This is amazing. Thanks so much for sharing your skills and making me look like an amazing cook. 😀😀

YUM!!!! And LOL!!! Bread pudding and hot buttered yeast rolls were my absolute favorites at school lunches! I think I was the only one who loved the pudding every Friday! I am so excited to make this!...and just an fyi: they made the bread pudding out of all the desserts and bread left over at the end of the week! So you can imagine how scrumptious it could be! hehe
me and my 6yo daughter just made all of this , we bout to pop it in the oven soon. and all she can say right now is "OOOOOH WEEEEEEE" because that sauce is BOMB!!!! thank you MS GINA!

Janet Green .....I use old biscuit and loaf bread ...it's just as good , if your sauce is right ..I always use raisins or other dried fruit ....some times apricots or cranberries ..

Yep! And I've used the Walmart vanilla, too, but I love the chocolate one, and sprinkle chocolate chips through out and chopped up maraschino cherries tossed in through out as well. I have also chunked up bananas into it so it's like a sundae mix. Just chocolate and banana is awesome. When done, I drizzle it with ganache and top it warm with ice cream or if cold or room temp, I make real whipped cream, pipped on top each serving. Ideas are limitless! I've also used pannatone' Great with a Real rum sauce spread over it topped with the REAL whipped cream!! If you dont like whipping your own, Redi Whip IS real whipped cream and squirt a shot on top each serving. YUMMMMM!!🥰❤

I have been a cook for many years. Never thought to use flavored brioche. Your bread pudding looks delicious will be making for christmas this year. Thanks for the recipe. Love how detailed you are in your video.
I wrote down every instruction word for word. But there's only one thing I will do different. I'm an alcohol person and to my sauce, I'm going to add 1/4 cup of Rum and some golden raisins rehydrated with Rum. And if it gets too thin, I'll make a bit of cornstarch thickener, put it back on the stove for about five more minutes until it gets just a little thicker and then pour it over my bread pudding. Your recipe is very easy and we that cook should have everything in our kitchen that is needed to make this today Thank you Gina for all of your recipes. I have learned a lot from my mother and both grandmother's, but you are teaching me a lot of things too. I especially loved and cooked the chicken and rice recipe with the Better than Bouillon in the cream of chicken soup. That was so good, the only thing left was an empty pan. Thank you again and keep on giving us recipes. Can you show me your way of cooking Purple Cabbage. I use red onion and a chopped up Granny Smith apple and a little apple cider. How do you fix yours? I serve mine with boneless pork chops in onion gravy and oven roasted Yukon Gold potatoes. Please show me how you would do it. I would love to have another way. Thank you so much.
