Your own accountability is beautiful at the end towards your son. I love that.

Isn't that the worst!? When you first start out experimenting and partying with ur friends but they go home and wake up the next day and continue their normal lives and I'm over here hooked for life... smh.

being someone who unfortunately has to deal with the consequences of my parents actions i allow myself to validate my feelings but i will admit it’s hard feelings guilty because i feel like the worst decision they made was having kids

I think it is healing for others to see a parent take this kind of accountability, just a chance to see what that would look like is a kind of liberation even if your own caregivers couldnt give that to you.

Enjoyed the story!but where all these talks seem to fail is the guests do not go in depth about what really worked for them and especially with meth or drugs like that...how long did it take to feel normal if even you do?was there a replacement?antidepressants or supplements?in depth about support systems?it's not just this podcast many do not go into what worked or didn't work in depth!!yeah they might brush the basics like I was in a rehab 15 times or I was In Novac's house and that saved me but what were the other things?😂

Thanks for watching and I believe she did explain what worked in her staying clean. There is no magic sauce to staying clean though, it’s pretty basic. You stop using, and hanging around people that use. Find a support system, like a 12 step fellowship and take suggestions from there. Everyone’s recovery can look a little different depending on the person. There are other episodes on this podcast where people talk about meditation assisted recovery and mental health treatments. Good luck in your journey ❤️
