This piece of music is extaordinary. I love how melodic and vocal the Flute and Clarinet parts are. I really enjoy the low and long tones that Tuba plays, they really hold the music together. If I were composing this, I would add an all brass section, just my preference. Great Music!!!
Shamon Lawrence I love it too. The same reasons. But my daughter plays trumpet in band at olivet. I thought all the songs were great and difficult to play. But this sound hit me in my gut. I have. never been moved like that ever before and after. I would love to hear it many diffrent ways just to see. But a bit more power on trumpets. or as you said brass But what amazing bulid up and power and I imagine the music swirling and bantering back and forth . what a piece he made. amazing
It's very beautiful. I admit it. I've never heard anything so beautiful in my life (well, actually I have. Check out this song. It's so beautiful. I played this in my band last quarter. ruclips.net/video/dlxO6-YPk5c/видео.html). I had suggested this song to my teacher. I so hope my band gets to play this.
Playing this piece in a Community band on Cape Cod. It is masterly composed with great texture throughout the piece. It is Just beautifully written, very moving and majestic at the 2:00 minute mark with the trumpets and French horn with an equally compelling oboe solo at around 2:54. Playing trumpet, the melody lines are so pure and beautiful. Thank you Robert Sheldon!
I got to have Robert Sheldon as a guest conductor at my high school district honor band wind symphony this past year, and it was a great experience! He gave us some great insight on this piece and it really helped me to appreciate how beautiful it is, especially with how much this particular piece meant to him.
I think that it is a beautiful piece and one of my favorites because of how the chords go together so beautifully. I believe that it is crazy good because of all the textures that are implemented from the clarinet to French horn it sounds amazing if put together correctly.
I was expecting a fast tempo somewhere becauseof the 3.5 grade, where instead there were lots of 16th notes and a huge range (in a clarinet's perspective)
I imagine this going great together with "With Each Sunset (Comes the Promise of a New Day)".
We're playing this in my band this year. I'm the only French horn. The horn line in this piece is truly beautiful!
I remember premiering this in the Sydney Opera House. Such a great time.
I'm falling with Robert Sheldon's pieces. They are amazing and just love listening to them. :D
Top 10 of all time for me.
Beautiful ..... remembering a wonderful friend and person, Kris.
This piece truly brings tears to my eye. It's so beautifully written and is the best lyrical piece of band literature I've heard in my life

We played this for our last performance this year. It was amazing.
Aww, man. I really want to play this song in my band. This is definitely something that my band would play.
Same but I’m about to culminate from middle school and the high school I’m going to is likely not going to have a music program next year
Love this piece and loved playing it so much more!
This is really beautiful it gave me chills this is something I want for my last and final year of high school band it would be an honor
Well this is a really cool song. We're learning it rn second year of hs band for me. 1st cl is super fun we get to play up there with the flutes 😭
2:22, one of the best concert band moments ever
I love the part at 4:56.

Ayyy got nerves because I am the only oboist in the band 😅😅
Reminds me of Mr Rogers neighborhood
The titles current state said otherwise
robert sheldon should apologise for this.
How is this grade 3 1/2 the tenor sax part sucks
The only good part of the whole piece is the bassoon solo
Where is the bassoon solo? Which bar? There is none!
X to doubt
ur right tbh
Time stamp?
