6 year old comment and I couldnt agree more.. to this day no other band (in my opinion) is as fast AND groovy as them, while having really interesting riffs, drums, bass playing and mostly damn good lyrics.. simply adore this band
I love when you stumble upon these unknown drummers ( to me anyways) and they are so good that after a couple listens you wonder how and the hell is he doing that...sounds like a damn drum machine....very well done!
This comment, officer. This is the one that made me feel bad about my age. In all seriousness, it's a real mindfuck to have invested so many years listening to metal to the point where thinking about the name John Talley makes me feel old and haggard.
@@timmytucker6902 fuckin hell man you're right! I think I mixed his name with (at one time) fellow Fetus bandmate John *Gallagher* but it's a bit late for me to correct that now
If you're a big fan of Navene, go check out his project 'Fleshrot' with Jonny from JFAC and add them. If you check it out on myspace, I think Navene did the guitar and drumming for the track that is up.
@Drummer2672 There are rack mount stands were it is just a stand with two rack mounts in place to adjust the level you wish and position the toms as you wish. Drum racks have the same thing.
@Femicide09 the trick to get that sound is a high sound out of your snare, and use alot of compression, with an attack time of approximately 10-15ms. Try it!
@Dr8co1 When you want more power in your backbeat without having to hit harder you flip your stick around and hit with the butt of it. You have to choke up on your grip so you you're not holding the shoulder. That's why it looks shorter.
idk maybe im hearing it wrong, but in the album version at 2:40 into the song there is a ridiculous blast beat till the end of the song. But he doesnt do it here. He is still amazing though
why did i get thumbs down? I just wondering why he didnt play it, i fucking love animosity. naw its not a gravity, its way to slow to be one, ima lmost 100% sure its a blast
Anyone know what's holding his rack toms in place? Like are they in connection to the holes on the top of his drum (granted he has them) or maybe they're attatched to a cymbal stand.. idk. I just want to figure out how I too can get my toms in that position and that low
It’s 2020 and I still come back from time to time. #Animosityforever
Wishing Animosity was still an active band.
indeed

some of the best metal drumming was in this band.
This dude is on another level of musicianship.
Every hit is so heavy and intentional. One of my top drummers for sure.
Navene's resume is extremely impressive. A very rare talent.
2024 still one of the sexiest snares on youtube
Band was LEGENDARY. 🦾
Um clássico, assistia muito na minha adolescência esse vídeo! Agora está no Entheos
Phenomenal drummer
navene before going to the gym
Very clear that Navene was the driving force behind Animosity
He was the main songwriter. He wrote the majority of guitar with Frank.
@@wyattsharp2675 New info for me thanks and makes even more sense now
haha happened to me about 7 years ago and I still can't get enough of watching him.
No one was playing anything like this at the time, part of what made animosity so hard was naves funky grooves.
Goddamnit why did animosity have to stop making music. like fuckkkk man, they were so damn good..
This guy is frieken goooooood!!! Stoked for Animals as Leaders!!!!!!!!
I love when you stumble upon these unknown drummers ( to me anyways) and they are so good that after a couple listens you wonder how and the hell is he doing that...sounds like a damn drum machine....very well done!
Navene is a beast in the studio or live.
all the hours and hours technique and practice bum me out..
but watching this is what drumming is all about
He's def one of my favorite drummers right up there with Talley and Jarvis

If you're a big fan of Navene, go check out his project 'Fleshrot' with Jonny from JFAC and add them. If you check it out on myspace, I think Navene did the guitar and drumming for the track that is up.

@Drummer2672

Its like having a infants skull on a stick slammin the back of a piece of sheet metal suspended in the air
navene is a machine
Ugh.... I want animosity back too....
he's like my all time favorite drummer. this vid explains why, I fucking love his style.

Omg! Best toms i've ever heard! Bass drum kick ass too if it's not triggered. Need to know what are those heads and drums! Badly!
Miss this band alot
navene for prez
Animosity was awesome, fun and exciting drumming at it's best.
Animal album is underrated AF
the intro on shut it down is so heavy
this has done no less than inspire me
its just a blast beat
Is it just me or is that the sexiest sounding snare ever?
all im saying is, what he plays with the song is cool
he did grav blasts on empires. whatever the 2nd track is called.
well.. it wasn't a grav blast, but definatly one handed roll.
OMFG i must marry that snare 8-l
i really dig his fills, little lightning fast bursts of awesomeness. this dude drums for animals as leaders?
Yeah he did
I love that shit he does at 2:27 ish.
mad props bro.
He one of my Favorite Drummers, if not the top.
seriously animosity, come back, the world misses you. i miss you :'(
that shit he does at 2:23 is fucking badass
Navene is awesome. Empires and Animal were great.
good song..also one of my favorite drummers! :D
Pure awesomeness.
❤❤❤
This ripped my face clean off.
Those are some good ass sounding drums jesus.
That snare *___¤
That kit!
DAMN!!!
@Dr8co1 When you want more power in your backbeat without having to hit harder you flip your stick around and hit with the butt of it. You have to choke up on your grip so you you're not holding the shoulder. That's why it looks shorter.
Your snare sounds so nice!
skilled drummer
1:01 GOD DAMN I LOVE BLAST BEATS!
he is so fucking good
dude you are off the hook!!! genius! could you make a drum video on "you can't win"???
animals as leaders ftw
idk maybe im hearing it wrong, but in the album version at 2:40 into the song there is a ridiculous blast beat till the end of the song. But he doesnt do it here. He is still amazing though
too bomb
Damn yur good, awesome quality as well.

@757metal757 But have you seen them play that shit live?! They fucking tear it up!
Here's to them headlining the next world tour \m/
More videos of Navene please! Also, can I actually meet that dude soon? WTF?!
"That's good enough."
I know what you mean.
its a cannible blast..
so fuckin good
Totally agree. Drummers should learn from him how to not make booring songs.
it's the recording.
this guy knows how to tune
I think he plays just Tama Superstar, a midrange kit. He is really good.
Unfuckingbelievable
The quality of the recording is a bit off, but I know what you mean. It sounds pretty sweet either way!
It is indeed Navene. for a bit he was rocking the long hair
@drumzilla0 It's a snare shell melted from the torn off piercings emo kids and the drum skin is ripped off Danny Filth's back.
i wish i could taste music. this would be my last meal.
@Femicide09 tht snare is fucking awesome sounding
why did i get thumbs down? I just wondering why he didnt play it, i fucking love animosity.
naw its not a gravity, its way to slow to be one, ima lmost 100% sure its a blast
@757metal757 I just saw them and he played the shit out of CAFO. It was life changing
Anyone know what's holding his rack toms in place? Like are they in connection to the holes on the top of his drum (granted he has them) or maybe they're attatched to a cymbal stand.. idk. I just want to figure out how I too can get my toms in that position and that low
if thats not clean, then we all fail
a blast beat? ok
just typical electrical, I'd assume. moon gel is good to look in to as well.
I CAME
@Femicide09 it it i put a towel over my snare to make it sound like that
@Drummer2672
magic
or iss mounts on a cymbal stand or rack
travis barker eat your heart out
@Femicide09 its alright no tone just flat but its alright
what bell are you using?
2:27 fucking awesome, as well as this whole video :)
