I love all of your content. You are so very creative and your tutorials are so thorough. However, this one is beyond anything you've done before! This is such a phenomenal idea and tutorial. My grandmother passed away at the age of 102 this year and I have several handwritten recipes that I am going to make for family members. And my son carries an apple pie recipe in his wallet that our aunt gave him when he was 3. He is now 32 and makes that pie regularly. He will love one of these! Thank you so much, Whitney, for all the time and effort you put into all of your videos. You are truly an inspiration for crafters!
Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been wanting to do this with a note from my Mother who gained her wings in June😢😍 This is perfect and I know my family will love seeing Grandma’s handwriting😘
Thank you so much for this video! My grandma passed away from Covid in January this year. I actually was in her house cleaning out and organizing I found lots of stuff that this tutorial will help me make for gifts at Christmas. It was a hard day at her house and this just helped me remember that she goes on in our memories
Oh Patsy, I'm so sorry for your loss! I love being able to create things to keep those we love in our thoughts when they are gone, I'm glad this tutorial will help!
@@Whiskeyandwhit I love that I have recipes from great greats and beyond. I also have cards signed by all my loved ones so I plan on making something like a large sign with everyone’s signature to hang in my home and leave space for more. Loved the Christmas video today or yesterday I don’t remember when I watched it. It’s been a rough couple of days. In the ER with my hubby who got sepsis from an unknown infection in his body somewhere. Your video helped keep my mind busy. 🙏🏻 thanks
What a great idea! So excited this is available to be done on the Cricut. So special to be able to keep those cherished loved ones hand writing so close and on display ❤💕
Thank you so much for sharing a new option and trick to what you can do with a cricut machine. Wonderful option on someone's handwriting preservation and sharing option for sentimental decor.
I love this idea! I’ve wondered if this kind of thing was possible, now I know. I’ve lost both of my parents in the last 3 years & have several projects I’d like to make. Thank you Whitney, you will help us all add much joy to our homes!
I downloaded Inkscape and used it for the first time with NO issues by following your tutorial. I had a dark, grainy background and was able to use the exact settings you used and it came out fabulous. I've had a Cricut for a long time but I literally learn something new EVERY time I watch one of your tutorials. You are quickly becoming my favorite channel to watch. (Like, I stop what I'm doing when I get the notification to watch your video. Most other videos get saved to be watched later.) Fantastic job as always!
😭 Sarah, you have no idea how sweet this is and how much I appreciate it! I'm so happy to hear you were able to recreate it easily and that you are learning from my content - that's the entire point I do what I do. Thank you for taking the time out to comment and share. This made my night ❤️
Awesome … I did something similar last year with the signature of my late parents (love mom & dad) on a birthday card I saved …. Gave one to each of my siblings … they loved it.
I cut out a recipe on my cricut that my mom wrote. It took me a long time to figure out how I did it and I probably could not do it again. I'll defintely try inkscape with my mac and cricut soon. Thank you so much
I have been dying to do this for years and cannot find a video that walks you through it that I can understand. You made it so simple and now I can make all sorts with my nana’s writing. Thank you so much for sharing and explaining things so everyone can make things no matter their skill level!
I am in love with the recipe sign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sure it will be passed down for many many generations through your family!!! What a blessing!!!!! I am hunting for my grandmas homemade bread recipe as I type!!!!!! Thank you for the inspiration!!!!!!!
Thank You! I have been looking for something like this, there will be some very happy daughters this Christmas, as their Mom passed last year and I have a recipe in her handwriting. Thank You again!
Thank you so much for this! My grandma passed in July and I’ve been trying to upload one of her recipes to put onto different things to send my family members. This is perfect and the timing is perfect. I am so grateful. ❤️
What would we do without you... you are awesome..u are really the only one that u know of that takes the time out on how to use the cricut all the tips and tricks and wonderful ideas... awhile ago I was confused which cricuit to purchase and u were so helpful to explain the difference between the 2 machines at the time I was trying to decide between... thank u for that.. and know I have purchased a few of them the cricuit 2 and the joy I also have the cop maker and 2 different sizes in the presses lol... and I so appreciate all your help
I can't believe that you can do this with cricut. I want to so bad, but I was completely lost with ink scape. I'll figure it out though. this is incredible. Thanks for showing this. I'll probably have to play this video over and over again to get the hang of it, but I'm determined.
Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial!!! I’ve wanted to make something for my siblings with both my parents’ handwriting since they’ve passed, but it’s very expensive to have it done by someone else on Etsy. Now I think I can do it myself! This will make wonderful Christmas gifts! 😊❤️
Thank you thank you! I have wanted to do this on cutting boards as gifts and recipes for gifts for Christmas and could not find out how to do it. You are the best!!!!
Amazing! I love this idea so much. Thanks for the information and explanation. Can't tell you how thrilled I am, I can now put my parents and grandma handwriting on something and I can keep them on display.
Hello. Great idea, i recently made a resin see through bracelet with my husbands picture and he drew me a card and signed it with “ I Love You & Always & Forever” well i took a picture and cropped and made it fit and then bought Cricut Maker 3. So i would live to do this for my husbands family as well as for me but im new to the Cricut stuff. Just want to say thank you for the video it helps and awesome
What a great idea. My daughter passed away 3 years ago. I have a small note that she wrote me and I would love to have it done like this. I've only had my cricket for a little over a month and I'm trying so hard. I want to be able to do everything. Thanks Whitney for such a beautiful project.
OMG! You made this seem so easy, I have watched other videos doing the same thing, but when they go into Inkscape they always lose me. You did not. I might actually give this a try. Thank you so much, you did an awesome job. Give yourself a Pat on the back!!! Thank you!!!!!!😊
Such a wonderful idea. ❤ Who would have thought that this would be doable? Now I'm wishing I had some of my parents and siblings handwriting. Whitney, you're just amazing!
Oh my goodness! I’ve been struggling to make a sign with the last written thing my friend’s dad wrote to her before he passed. It was a funny little honey do list that ended with welcome to the family love, dad. It’s written in blue ink on lined notepad paper. I hope this software can get me where I need to be on this project.
Thank You for this tutorial. I am going to give this a try for a gift for someone who has just recently lost his mother ( who taught him how to cook and bake )
That is awesome, I love that! You gave me great Christmas gift ideas! Such a fan of all your videos! Love learning new techniques and you explain them so well! Thank you!
What a great idea. I can't wait to try this when I get my Cricut. I'm going to make Christmas gifts with my late mother-in-laws handwriting. She had very beautiful handwriting. Thanks so much for sharing Whit.
First thank you for teaching me how to create a tassel the unexperience way. I bought one at Hobby Lobby before I saw your video and said whyyyyyy 🤦🏽♀️... I really enjoy your channel I'm not a Buffalo check type of person but your examples are so easily converted to whatever I want it to be. I was so happy that you showed how to do take some personal writing and convert it on your Cricut machine (1 of birthday wishes on my list). Can't wait to see what else comes our way from your channel and website... Love that site as well... 😁
I would love to do this with my Grandmother and mother's handwriting for sure! Now you've sold me on finally getting a Cricut, these memories will be well worth the investment for years to come! Such a beautiful project Whitney and Grandma Kay😉❤🙏🏾
I’m terrible with this type of stuff but thank you very much for showing us in depth because now I’ll give it a shot. This is amazing and would make the best gifts ever…I would love to see a photo of a dog or person turned into an svg to cut on Cricut 😁

These are both beautiful. I have a terrible time weeding something like that. It must just take practice. Thanks Whitney
It does take a bit of time, but I find that you need to have a very sticky mat and very sharp blade, that really helps!
What a cool idea. Wish I had a circut. ♥
