    That "plastic" hood is stout, dent and rustproof. This tractor is a perfect match with a half ton truck payload for work. If you lift in the bucket or forks as much as it can, you will need ballast on the back or it'll tip forward. The heavy weight of the tractor with loaded tires is a plus and a great starting point. It's a well balanced machine all around.

      So the engine is the same, but the gearing and tractor weight are not. I'd definitely spring for the CK if you can manage it. It's going to give you more weight and stability, as well as another transmission range for pulling.

      The dealer makes the machine. The Kioti size/weight and loader beats the Kubota out no contest. The Kubota does have 3 ranges in the HST, which can be nice if you're looking for a wider variety of speeds. Besides that it's an easy choice in my opinion.

    I know that a lot of people buy that loader and mower combined. I have always thought that one would get in the way of the other? Especially in tough conditions?

    • @kentonequipment4687
      @kentonequipment4687  2 года назад +1

      You definitely make a sacrifice doing it. When a tractor is made with a belly mower in mind they make it physically smaller, so that it's more nimble and easier to mow with, but when it comes to traditional tractor work size and weight are your friend! That's why I pointed out how heavy the Kioti is. They do a good job of balancing the problem. Both attachments are quick attach so you can switch between in a matter of minutes. Not as easy as having 2 dedicated machines, but a little cheaper for sure!

    Hi Nathan,
    Would you say this could handle a 4' or 5' flail mower in the back? Not sure if they even make them that small but if I happen to find one, would you say it's compatible with this size tractor or I need to at least invest into its bigger CK brother?
    Also meant to ask, as per dimension difference between the CS and CX, how much wider, longer and sitting up higher would you say this is over the CS?
    I own an RX7320 but wanting to add something smaller for different type of farming applications that the RX is a bit of an overkill for...
    Thanks :)

    • @kentonequipment4687
      @kentonequipment4687  Год назад

      I'd really run a 4' where i'm at in NKY for our hillside. Flails can be pretty power hungry. I'd say the CX somewhere around 6"-8" taller, and maybe 2-4" wider, and at around a foot longer with the loader. The weight is significantly higher.

    when you push in the clutch, does it disengage the hst transmission? I have seen videos that say you only use the clutch to start the tractor and use it to engage the pto. so, do you use the clutch to disengage the pto? do bolt on bucket hooks void the warranty? do wheel spacers void the warranty? what is the part number for the linked pedal kit and price?

    • @kentonequipment4687
      @kentonequipment4687  Год назад +1

      On both versions of this model you have a single stage clutch, so if you hit the clutch on the 6X2 gear model to change gears it DOES shut the PTO off. Most people buy the HST version of this model, where the only purpose of the clutch is the PTO, so it works well. Warranty is only going to have issues repairing things that customization directly caused. If your bucket hooks broke something on the loader, or you were pulling something too heavy with the hooks and something broke, or if the spacers were so wide that the rear end broke, you might have issues with warranty. I hope I explained that well. Linked pedal kit is CXA102. It's about $150 for the parts.

    What is preventing from having the front loader, mid mount mower, and back hoe at the same time? Is it possible to have all 3 attachments but only have 2 on the tractor at a time?

    • @kentonequipment4687
      @kentonequipment4687  Год назад +1

      Hey, Alex. The backhoe on the CX series is mounted with a full-length subframe that runs underneath the tractor. It's a little heavier duty of a setup than what you see on the Kioti CS or Kubota BX/B series "4 point" mount systems. The downside is, that subframe gets in the way of all the deck mounting. You would need tools to pull the subframe pieces off and mount the deck pieces every time you switch between implements.

    • @kentonequipment4687
      @kentonequipment4687  Год назад +1

      On the gear drive, yes. On the HST, no. Some people do it as a precaution and there's no harm in it, but if you're at a complete stop you don't need to.

  • @slip0n0fall
    @slip0n0fall Год назад

    Great overview. I just wish Kioti would have better distinguished the loader specs further from their CS20 series. It's barely different. Going from 1060 to 1090 to 1800 on the CK2610 is a huge jump. Considering the Kubota B01 can go toe to toe at a lighter overall weight, I don't think it's a machine weight limit. Also I hope they go to a plastic tank, less condensation potential.

    • @kentonequipment4687
      @kentonequipment4687  Год назад +1

      I have a customer who moves 4x5 round bales (approx 700-800lb) with a CX2510H without anything on the 3pt hitch. This is going to be the biggest distinguisher between the Kioti CX and the Kubota B. The Kioti has the weight to back up the loader lift. The Kubota will have a lighter footprint on the grass so that might play into your decision if it's a full time mower.

    • @slip0n0fall
      @slip0n0fall Год назад

      @@kentonequipment4687 you're absolutely right. I just think there's more lift potential in a CX2510 than Kioti is taking advantage of, if appropriately counterweighted. I foresee a CX refresh in a few years that will rid of things like the live PTO, maybe go to plastic rear tank, higher lift specs. Integrating the backhoe into the frame would be a huge selling point to me as well, gain some of that ground clearance back.

    They probably should have kept the rocker pedal. I tried one today and the reverse is in an awkward position, to where trying to push the reveres pedal hits on teh forward pedal. They needed more separation. The lever for the bucket seems very bad compared to the other models

    • @kentonequipment4687
      @kentonequipment4687  Год назад

      If you search how to take off the loader on the CK units it works the same way! Basically, here are the steps- fold the feet down, set the weight down between the bucket and legs on a FLAT area. Remove the pins on either side when the weight comes off of them, use the loader control to CURL/RAISE to get the loader up out of the brackets about 6", shut the tractor off, bleed off the pressure by working the loader stick, and disconnect the 4 quick couplers.

    A lot heavier tractor than the cs2520 but only about 100lbs more bucket lift capacity. Obviously it would handle the load much better but it's kind of disappointing.
