    Love this!!! I've been fiddling around with Google Sheets to create a planner for my high school student. I LOVE how yours auto-fills the individual days and also has 1 and 2 page options! Are you by chance going to make a video showing how to plan Guest Hollow in this planner? That has my mind spinning! We're doing Chemistry in the Kitchen and HS Geography. Excited!!!🎉

      Yes I've been trying to VLOG as I plan and organize the different subjects and will release those in a couple of July videos. Each of my kiddos is doing a Guest Hollow course this year, so those will be included in the videos as well.

    This is great!
    It’s exactly what I had in mind but never got around to making.
    2 questions
    1. I love excel, but I don’t buy it since moved to mac. Will this work on Numbers or Google sheets? Which would be better?
    2. Can I pay with PayPal?
    Thanks! 🎉

      I know it can be uploaded to Google sheets and all the formulas will work appropriately. I believe you would have to go in and set the page breaks though (for the planner pages to print correctly). It's not hard to do in Google sheets, but it may take a little time initially. I haven't tried it yet in Numbers.
      Right now the website I list my documents through only takes card payments. At some point in the future I hope to have another website option set up but that's a future project :)

    Fantabulous!!!🎉 Abbey I’ve been meaning to email and ask about when this would be released and what a pleasant surprise I woke up to this morning! Thank SO much!!! I especially love the shifting feature for days we may skip ( earlier I used to put the correct dates over in pen for all the shifting around 😅). Keep up the great work!!!

    Thank you for putting this together! I have a question about public speaking - is this something that you've included in English credits, or would you consider it more appropriate as an elective? I'm having a hard time figuring out how to roll that in with the other components in high school courses.

      I would say more often than not public speaking is done as a separate elective. You could roll it into another course (or courses) to give your student practice, but if you wanted them to have a more in depth look at developing speeches and presentations then a separate course may provide that. While my teens have not done a speech course, our local coop offers it and I believe IEW has a great speech course as well

    hi I got the planner but I can't see how to unprotect my copy and add my own bits?

    How would this work for a subject you don't do daily? Like say we only do it on Tues & Wed. This week we missed Tues, so I move it back a day, but then Wed would move to Thurs? Would I have to manually shift each assignment to the right day? Or will it somehow know that after Tuesday's assignment moves to Wednesday that the next assignment has to move to Tuesday? I hope that makes sense. I'm really intrigued by this, but I have heretofore had a very contentious relationship with Excel. 😆😕

      When you insert cells to shift down assignments, it just moves everything down to the next cell, not to a certain date. You might be able to add additional blank cells to move things to where you want them but copying and pasting the subject column would be faster

    When I open the one page planner (before even entering any data), the notes box splits onto the next page. What do you have your margins set to just so I can double check. Thanks!

    • @mypracticallyimperfectlife
      @mypracticallyimperfectlife  2 месяца назад +1

      It should be set to "normal" margins which are 0.7 on the left and right, 0.3 for header/footer, and 0.75 top/bottom. Also make sure you don't have your Excel set to "scale" documents as that will change the layout. If you need more help, you can send me an email. I made a short video clip showing how to make the fix. I use the Microsoft 365 version of Excel and if you have a different version, sometimes the settings vary from one version of Excel to another

    I also use Guest Hollow- so my question is do you put in the links weekly for Guest Hollow so that your student can easily click from the planner? Or do you have them go to the Guest Hollow schedule to click on what you have for the day?

      I list the video titles but during the summer I create a bookmark folder on our internet browser with the videos I want them to watch each week. I’ll show what I mean in one of this weeks lesson planning videos.

      @@mypracticallyimperfectlife I’m looking forward to seeing how you organize your links!! I came back to say, I just purchased your planner and I love it so much!!!!!! I love the way it prints, the formatting isn’t overly overwhelming, and it is so organized and simplified!!! I have used many online planners and paper planners and this is what I’ve been waiting for!!!! Thank you for sharing this with us to purchase!!

    I see you use excel. If I don't have excel, can I use your planner in google sheets?

    • @mypracticallyimperfectlife
      @mypracticallyimperfectlife  2 месяца назад

      Yes. You may have to play around with your print settings/margins to make sure the pages print appropriately but all the formulas will work as intended
