    I literally just installed a 6 point harness after looking everywhere for instruction and then BOOM!.....thanks mate, just confirmed my install is good.
    Good to note that if you have retained the sliding seat rail, best to make the angle calculations where you will be sitting in the slide position because as the seat slides back and forwards, the angles will change.

    would it not be better for the bolts holding the harness to the floor to face up with the nuts inside the car ? That way if the car bottoms out after leaving the track the bolts wouldn't be sheared off at the floor releasing the harness. Or possibly getting hung up on something like a track barrier and pulling the harness down against the driver.

    Nice, I'd never heard of Crow before this video, but I've been checking them out. I actually love that they have purple. The only other place offering purple that I know of is Pit Road M in Japan, and that is a limited color that might not be around long. Their gloves and shoes look decently priced, also. Thanks for sharing the info!

    Are you going to get a different seat? I'm not 100% sure but I thought I read about something with pro am and/or fd requiring a seat with the head and neck support, I'm not sure of the proper term for the head and neck support but you get the point haha

    also to point out for 6 points sparco and schroth make there 6 point belts separate. speaking of harness belts how would I go about mounting if it's just a autocross/pdx / daily driver setup. do I do the same. people have told me I could mount the sub straps to the back part of my seat mounts. and then for the lap belt one to the oem mounting point in the b- pillar then the other to the seat mount side tab does that work, or do I still need to do it like you did.

    Would you reccomend a harness bar if a full cage isnt in budget?

    • @louiscrespo1280
      @louiscrespo1280 7 лет назад

      o Lemurs not really if you don't have a full cage then a harness bar can be dangerous or that's what the internet says

    • @OffBeatGarage
      @OffBeatGarage  7 лет назад +1

      If it's a properly made harness bar then i don't see an issue with it. But the majority of harness bars that I see are really flimsy and don't tie into enough points in the car to be strong enough. So in that case I would say the stock seat belt would be safer. Hope that helps,

    • @harryazzole7814
      @harryazzole7814 7 лет назад +1

      o Lemurs if you really want a harness, at the very least take out the back seat. And get a Takata Drift belt. They're the only ones that are DOT legal (other than Schroth which is Takatas parent company) and that's for a reason. If it's a street car, stick with a Takata Drift 3 for more lateral support and use the rear seat anchor points.
