Side note, thank you for giving Clark and Lois a non-toxic relationship. I love how they dont fight over "romcom" nonsense. They act like a couple with ups and downs but genuinely love each other.
Lois and Clark are both great communicators, grounded people who occasionally flex egos that seem wayyyy outside their lane. That's because they're both insanely driven, but their sense of self is often attached to external ideas, and that can make relationships tough...but not toxic. Clark and Lois' relationship began as a friendship, became a partnership, but once they had sex it was very clear that they were now, to some extent, trapped together. Max would actually make a much better player than a DM, because he's the sort of guy who is really good at character work, and could play off of others really well. You can imagine having this bouncy Jew making every scene twice as fun just by being there. The reason he's bad at DMing (by his own admission) is I suspect because he's not the sort of guy who would kill players. He's too nice. In order to DM, you need to be willing to hoist the black flag and slit some fucking throats. Max doesn't have the heart for it. A Good DM needs to be able to make a session like an ISIS execution video, and some people just don't have the stomach for it.
Can't believe that was an hour and a half long, felt like ten minutes. American Alien was easily one of my favourite superman stories and I'm so glad you was able to continue the saga. Thank you for doing this whole thing, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I've been having a rough year dealing with my anxiety and having my first anxiety attacks ever. I've worked on it and I can definitely say I'm better but I still have a long road to go. To say this touched me is an understatement. This is a beautiful piece of work.
Rewatching this again as I work on my notes for D&D. I realize now how much my writing has been influenced and improved by this series. I love your intense and vivid environmental descriptions that put us right there with the characters. Thank you and thank you and thank you again!
I really like how you structured Clark having a bad trip. It's not so bad until it REALLY IS. That's exactly what it's like for someone who "wasn't cool enough to get used to it" to encounter it.
This is so incredibly well made man, this kind of content at this level of production value is so unique. You're obviously a good writer with interesting ideas but I didn't realize how good of an actor you were as well, I wish you were able to make stuff like this more often, I'd jump on that Patreon in an instant lol
Ace Chemicals: "Change What It Means to Be Human" Nice touch; your Scarecrow segue reminded me of Mr. Mxyzptlk scene in American Alien. Especially effective were the bits where Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent are each confronted by twisted exaggerations of their legendary alter egos, the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel, all the imagery surrounding Wayne Manor's destruction, and Bane going full Luchadore while explaining his stupid comic backstory (and that just being a device to allow Bruce to be a myopic, grimdark sociopath without feeling insecure about his wealth, privilege and tragic backstory). Overall, your version of this universe and these characters sounds far more entertaining -- and somehow better at being "realistic," despite also being ten times whackier -- than whatever the hell the DCEU is supposed to be now.
I AM SO HAPPY YOU GOT AND ARTICULATED THAT BANE'S RIDICULOUS STORY IS USED TO SHOW HOW FUCKING MUCH BRUCE IS WILLING TO DISTORT EVERYTHING TO NOT BE HIMSELF TO THE DEGREE HE'S FIGHTING SHARKS IN PRISON LITERALLY SHIT A LITTLE KID WOULD MAKE UP SORRY IF THIS ISN'T CLASSY BUT DUDE YOU JUST MADE MY DAY
@@Uptomyknees Couldn't have asked for a better reply, sir. I wasn't sure about it with the first few videos (because I always was into Batman more than Superman), but with this you really sold me on your unstable, morally ambiguous schizo interpretation of Bruce Wayne/Batman. It's sort of like Watchmen meets Mr. Robot.
@@Uptomyknees honestly cannot wait to hre your take on the Marvel universe! I bet your ver. of spider-man is just as interesting as your superman,Batman,Wondy, etc.
This is one of the best Clark and Bruce stories I’ve ever seen. Feels like this could be the final story for Batman ever. A complete analysis of Bruce Wayne in a very entertaining way. Cannot wait to see the next one
I was going to just say that I'd go see this live on stage... and I would. But what I really want to say Max, is that this helped me on a personal level. Helped me rediscover myself and that it's never to late to be better. Thank you... Phenomenal work!
That felt good. I feel like I just finished watching a great movie. Just ordered American Alien and will re-watch every one of these videos. Max should feel proud of himself along with everyone that helped make this happen.
Weird thing I just noticed. Remember when vandal savage talked about three lanterns over ice? Well isn’t it odd that when Clark talks about going to the Arctic that a strange symbol flashes up on the screen for a few moments, that has like... 3 things with it. Like three circular patterns connecting.
I was on the fence about his version of the joker. Not that think there is such a thing as a ‘true joker’ I just felt of the concepts Max has described in the Kryptonian Epic is the bit too verbose and not shown. Until now. I see the vision of this joker and it’s just as fascinating and terrifying as expected. Along with showing the actual relationship between this Batman and Joker during the fear gas scenes, which some how gave me Lego Batman vibes and succeeds in conveying Bruce’s actual fear isn’t being becoming like the joker in this story, but losing himself to a Batman, losing the man Bruce Wayne. Brilliant!
Perfection. As a standard internet viewer, I can't wait for more. Well done. Well fucking done. I'm too high on edibles to make a conclusive point right now. But good job.
I went from feeling meh about your Joker to literally being scared of him. Holy fuck. It is was scarier to think of him as a character being played by someone who can blend in to the real world than always being a creepy clown.
I don't think I've seen anything like this on stage or on screen before, and how often can you say that in 2022!? A truly original and enthralling experience. Keep doing you, Max.
Fantastic again, man! Thank you so much for continuing to make these projects. You’ve really helped me to reignite my passion for storytelling and the creative parts of my life. You’re truly a gift. Thank you. :)
I haven't watched this yet, but I'm commenting for the algorithm. I think a project this ambitious and time consuming to produce at least deserves that much. I'm glad you've finished this.
I don't know if it's already in your plans or not, but if you do another short film in the Kryptonian Epic, I'd LOVE to see one centred around the interviews between Lois Lane and Jaden Libren as Aaron Scott/The Joker. This take on the Joker as a completely sane, pretentious artist who sees being the Joker as a means to get famous, is the freshest take on Joker in maybe DECADES, and I'd love to see more of it.
Thank you! I love Aaron, and am happy to tell you that you will indeed see Jaden as "The Joker" again, in much greater detail. And he will indeed be juxtaposed with Lois Lane.
This was great fun! I imagined a lot of times that we're sitting around the campfire listening to Max telling this. Loved the Adam West Batman, the Batman film references, and Martha Wayne's scream always cracked me up :) Aaron Scott was great.
So much energy and so much love for the world and characters. I've watched it 5 times and i cannot stop! Thank you! This is so much more than just a comic.
Excluding Superman's demeanor with Manchester Black and Murderous Zatanna this was better than I expected. The Inner turmoil of Bruce Wayne and Clark's forgiveness were *chef's kiss* 🤌🏻
Bravo! Engaging to the point of mesmerising! Batman’s entrance in the cornfield literally made me jump and the final speech almost had me welling up. I honestly think it’s because your sheer passion for the project… err… projects off of the screen. A truly unique experience.
Damn man, I’ve been in a real dark place for the past month. I wasn’t expecting this video to tell me exactly what I needed to hear. Another fantastic video.
Got to comment again because all I did was ask a question last time. Max, this absolutely amazing. I've been reading comics for 30 plus years now and this is truly one of my favorite bits of media created from these characters. It has been one of the few genuine bright spots in the last year being excited for these videos. And this one is epic.
I watched this on my TV and I'm so glad I treated this like I would a normal movie. Max, thank you for doing this. As someone who's kept up with the youtube videos and IG stories forever, I feel I was able to absorb so much from this and it was great to see all these payoffs. You've got a great community who loves the hell out of what you do, so dammit keep doing it. Good luck on this one and can't wait for the next one. Cheers.
man i have no idea what to do next. it's so cool to hear that people are actually like paying attention and actually getting these pay offs I've worked on so hard, and are just part of an even bigger thing but now... What do you think dude like what do I do? How do I do it? Z? Ted? Endangered Species? Test Run? They're not anything like this, so how do I tell them in a unique way where I still don't get sued that doesn't cost me a bazillion dollars? I legit am just like I dunno lol Do I just go back to the webcam videos til the animated movie comes out and hope people accept and love it for being the truly weird thing it is? such a weird moment, people always say "make a sequel to Wrestling Isn't Wrestling" but like...this all is the sequel to wrestling isn't wrestling. I'm just so happy you liked it
@@Uptomyknees I love these. So much. All of them: The longer pitches in Agent of Batman, DEATHWISH, and Princess Diana; the shorter acting pieces with Superman Doesn’t Kill and Martha Kent; the character discussions of the green boos, the Justice League, and Jimmy Olsen; the script cutouts; the live streams; the Ted Kord Medium comics; the original Super Seven issues; and of course, this wonderful, magnificent, beautiful, weird, disturbing one-man show performance piece. So what I’m saying is; if it’s the validation, and the high of seeing how people love these - don’t worry about it. Tell the stories in the way you want to, don’t think that every one of them needs to be as inspired and inventive and destructive of the medium as this one is. And if it’s about being that - being strange and new and energetic and weird in the most authentic way. Then let it be, and let it wait. Find how to do that and do it when you’re ready. Stories will tell you how to write them and then put them into innovative RUclips videos. This was great, and it was worth every ounce of effort, fun, and anxiety it brought with it. The Epic will be that way too. But to actually answer that question of what to do next? I don’t know. Maybe just let it breathe, and let it get simple again. That post Agent of Batman livestream was fun, and I’m certain there’s plenty of people in these comment sections dying to discuss Death of Batman with you. Or maybe just talking about some of the scientists in Test Run. I’ve loved the very, very small things we’ve seen of Edward/Jonathan Crane in the Epic (maybe it’s because I hate anti-natalists so much and I love the idea of one being a Superman/Batman villain). There’s been tiny references to Ivy. What she doin’? And don’t even get me started on the questions of where the hell a shapeshifting clay monster actor came from in this universe. TL;DR We’re Max Landis fans here. Don’t worry about disappointing or pissing us off - we’re clearly resistant to alienation, and it’s not even about what we think. And don’t worry about not ‘living up to’ the story you’re telling. These were always weird, even from way back in the Death of Superman summary and pitch. It’s part of the beauty. Also. When is Jimmy Olsen getting a Green Lantern ring?
@@Uptomyknees Webcam pitches are just fine. To assume that this kind of content can just be cranked out is bonkers. It's the story I want so yeah, more X and especially Ted. Just talk about a side story with them to flesh out more of who they are (tie ins as a bonus👍)
@@Uptomyknees dude I love your stories so much you could literally tell them in a drunk livestream at 2AM and I would watch it and love it lol. If you really want a unique way to tell certain stories, I mean there’s always webcomics and screenplays, but honestly I’d be happy just hearing them in any way. It’s so fun and your excitement is contagious
I have been hyped for this for so long. It was everything I wanted it to be and more. I laughed I cried I was so wrapped in all of it. This was fucking fantastic. The ending has me so hyped for the kryptonian epic.
Fantastic storytelling, and the kind of story that leaves you wanting more at the end of each chapter and at the end of each video. Fantastic job!! ^_^ Great ending too! :) Also fantastic snippets of Aaron Scott throughout.
I really needed this. I really needed to sit down, full screen this bitch, and just get absorbed into this incredible work of art. Max, you are one of the best storytellers in the game. Your version of Batman and Superman are far superior to anything else out there, because your story isn't just about Batman and Superman. It's not even just about Bruce and Clark. It's about everyone. The fact that I can relate to an orphaned masked vigilante with multiple personalities and an all-powerful alien with the world on his shoulders speaks volumes to how beautifully told your storytelling really is. Because what I got out of this story wasn't a generic plot about superheroes. Instead I was watching two characters struggling with their own identity and fearing that what they were doing with their limited time on Earth wouldn't be enough or that they weren't on the right path. And I think everyone can relate to that. Extremely well done. Extremely, extremely well done!!! So glad I got to watch this live. God, I miss going to the movies!
Guys.. can we talk about Max and his acting??! He was FANTASTIC in this!! Especially when getting into some of these roles, I was experiencing many emotions! This whole thing is impressive, clever, beautiful, and a wild ride haha! Kudos to Landis and all who helped work on this!
All of the stories about Batman essentially continuing forever, for the rest of his life, for the past 80 years, it reminds me of a lot of things. One is that it reminds me of that Wings of Redemption guy who was an overweight youtuber who kept embarrassing himself on the internet for attention, and all he needed to do was just turn off the streams, stop being the youtuber guy, stop inviting trauma into his life intentionally and making sure it got as worse as possible by making it all public, but he just couldn't stop because he wanted to be popular. The other thing it reminds me is how nice it was that the Dark Knight movies ended with Bruce Wayne accepting retirement, it was like he escaped the lifetime of constantly fighting and grinding himself down, getting through the trauma instead of perpetually reliving it, his life didn't have to be dedicated to one terrible thing that happened to him, it didn't have to define him anymore. Also the Joker having like 20 million instagram followers might be the most realistic part of this whole story.
I've been working on a Nightwing movie for about 3-4 years, and the way you have Dick leave because of the Killing Joke is almost exactly the concept that I was working from. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees the potential of that story. Fantastic work overall.
same; I didn't exactly dislike it before but I was really waiting on the full execution because it's one of those things that on paper sounds good but could have ended up brilliant or fucking terrible
Spoiler block cause I like to not spoil stuff: ---- OK just finished, the one thing I remember years ago is when Max said Nightwing was his favorite cause he has everything Batman had plus Batman and now Superman. Batman is the father that shaped Dick Grayson but Superman was the father Grayson wanted. Also obvious NIGHTWING IS SUPERMANS SUPERBOY
Max has such a gift for storytelling. His ability to craft a very detailed but always interesting and entertaining tale is unmatched. The passion and enthusiasm he has when it comes to this stuff is so evident that it practically jumps off of the screen and you can’t help but get heavily invested and hyped up. Max could for real make a 2 hour video talking about paint drying and make it interesting. He is that damn good.
Dozens of things to talk about and appreciate in this video, I could talk about it all day. But holy shit I am really hung up on Aaron Scott in the best way. I'm absolutely fascinated by this take on the Joker, I want mooooore!!!
Just now got the time to give this my full attention, some smoke, and my night, to this. I can't wait man. Thank you again! I KNOW I will thoroughly enjoy it!! Thank you again!
I’ve followed your channel and career for a long long time now. That was the greatest thing you have ever done, Max. Huge congratulations for such a labour of love. Bring on the #kryptonianepic. Well done!
That was pretty good and actually made me shed a tear. Probably because of my own control issues, and because I cry like every day now, but hey, good on ya.
1:11:41 This moment. This is the moment that always reminds me the masterful story-weaving skill you’ve shown us over the years. Thank you once again Max!
I would love if you do all of your Superman pitches in this format. The story was so engaging and different from the conventional DC characters, I was engaged all the way through and I would love to see more. The passion and dedication to tell a story through performance art made me appreciate this form of story telling. Don’t stop creating man, this was a joy to watch
God I just love hearing Max passionate going on about his stories. Really gives me village story teller vibes, gather the tribe together around a fire lit night to provide magic and fantasy to exist.
I always imagine these fights looking like a showdown from your movie Chronicle where people are ragdolling, throwing up blood, and causing the biggest amounts of collateral property damage known to man.
First, for context, I'm pumped from watching the Deposition of Barry Allen, so while I'm digesting that, I decided to go back here and share the thoughts I jotted out months ago about this. Really enjoying the story and the interesting way of telling it. Anyway, here's something: "ok, so not to get too film theory, pop psychology, but one of the big themes of the Kryptonian Epic is Clark working through being in a place where he can have a family (and its easy to read it as Max working through those kind of ideas and issues too, but that is a reach). To get on the same page: First, previously (though I'm having trouble finding which video) he said that the end of the Kryptonian Epic is when Clark becomes a dad. He doesn't even care about the kid's name, because that is the end of the story he is trying to tell. So that highlights the theme right there; this is a character arc/story/journey to becoming a father, or at least part of it is. Then we have all the stuff in Death of Batman. He makes Scarecrow and Anti-Natalist (which is great and I love) and part of whats great is how that interacts with Clark in light of this theme. You setup villains to challenge the hero in ways that mean something. And Scarecrow's whole deal isn't "OMG I'm obsessed with fear! screw everyone!/I'm going to share it with everyone" its explicitly "it is immoral to bring children into this world, and I'm going to convince others by breaking them with fear" So you get the same kind of behavior, but backed by an explicit counterpoint to that theme of becoming a parent. And Clark fails at confronting it. He loses that conflict and has to be rescued. And specifically, he is afraid of what will happen if what is different about him gets passed on to his children. He loves Lois, and is scared for her and of the consequences of trying to have a child with her. There's all that great creepy vine imagery about being unsure what he is and so being afraid how it'll affect Lois and what his children might be because of it. Now, I don't know if anyone reading this neurotypical, but there are lots of things that can be mapped onto that, that people have and struggle with and the worry about passing onto their kids. Either behavioral issues, or mental illness or other disorders, etc. And Max has been very open about his own mental health issues, and Clark is an important character to him, close to his heart , so to speak. It'd be easy (but a stretch) to say Max is working through those issues through the story. A stronger interpretation would be that he finds these themes interesting and worth exploring (and maybe thinks there's a lack of works that do so) which is why they're so prominent in his big work here. Anyway, something I've been thinking about and wanted to share. " Shoutout to everyone else enjoying these and Max (cause who else is even gonna see this?). Hope everyone's doing well.
Shazam and #TheKryptionianEpic are the only superhero films in recent memory that really make me emotional. I hope after finishing this saga Max Landis is encouraged to assemble a crew of young and promosing filmmakers to produce audiosvisual projects as engaging as this. If that American Werewolf in London remake is not made, the proper evoludion of Landis' career could be making features that are a middle point between indie filmmaking like Me Him Her and the video-essay/art-film/web-original/new-media like this, Wrestling Isn't Wrestling and Bo Burnham's Inside.
Just finished watching it. I know, i know, couldn't watch it live. Still, pffiou, I'm exhausted after this. It was epic. That ending with Clark Kent. Wow
This is incredible and just another reason as to why Max is my favorite producer/writer right now. I hope we get to see much more content in this style, thank you so much Max!
On my third rewatch loved the use of Bane when seeing the full picture, the psychedelic trip was better than I could've hoped, and more than anything I love that baby Bruce has the same/similar voice as child Jason in the hellbound pitch
I was spellbound the whole time. There's a real local theater feel to you going through all the scenes, standing and pantomiming. Great story too, but even if it weren't, you sold the hell out of it.
I watched all the other Kryptonian Epic videos in order and then I watched this again… I almost cried. This is beautiful. Can’t wait till we finally have the complete story.
I enjoy that Superman's main powers in this setting are being a well adjusted adult who just wants to talk, and being difficult enough to kill that he can finish talking to people.

"Clark, I'm the horniest I've ever been" That line made ME lose it.
Can't believe that was an hour and a half long, felt like ten minutes. American Alien was easily one of my favourite superman stories and I'm so glad you was able to continue the saga. Thank you for doing this whole thing, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
thank YOU!
I've been having a rough year dealing with my anxiety and having my first anxiety attacks ever. I've worked on it and I can definitely say I'm better but I still have a long road to go.
To say this touched me is an understatement. This is a beautiful piece of work.
I'm so happy you're moving through it! I believe in you!
@@Uptomyknees Genuinely moved you responded to me! Thank you so much.
Jaden Libren is great in this. I’m finally sold on a version of Joker that deliberately breaks character, I would have considered that a Sin before.
“He earned that limp.” is still one of my favorite lines ever
"You thought the most powerful psicodelic on Earth was going to make you experienced Halloween decorations" loved that line!
This is so incredibly well made man, this kind of content at this level of production value is so unique. You're obviously a good writer with interesting ideas but I didn't realize how good of an actor you were as well, I wish you were able to make stuff like this more often, I'd jump on that Patreon in an instant lol
Ace Chemicals: "Change What It Means to Be Human"
Nice touch; your Scarecrow segue reminded me of Mr.
HELL YES. I cried, I laughed, I was absolutely enthralled by the story. Absolutely crazy take on Bane that I loved. Great work Max!
That felt good. I feel like I just finished watching a great movie. Just ordered American Alien and will re-watch every one of these videos. Max should feel proud of himself along with everyone that helped make this happen.
I would love playlist for all plot relevant clips
@@sAdam_II there is one here on the channel
This is like Batman: Ego but he gets really high and Superman is also there.
Weird thing I just noticed. Remember when vandal savage talked about three lanterns over ice? Well isn’t it odd that when Clark talks about going to the Arctic that a strange symbol flashes up on the screen for a few moments, that has like... 3 things with it. Like three circular patterns connecting.
hmmm
i t ' s t h e b r a i n
when is this?
Those Joker interviews with that actor you got, I suddenly 'got it', I'm now a fan of this interpretation of him.
Right? Is so good and makes so much fucking sense. It's a Great Joker
Brilliant!
21:42 if you want to see it again.
Perfection. As a standard internet viewer, I can't wait for more.
Well done. Well fucking done. I'm too high on edibles to make a conclusive point right now. But good job.
Everything I have learned in the past 30 years has led to this RUclips video
And just wait until you learn more about this guy!☝️
I went from feeling meh about your Joker to literally being scared of him. Holy fuck. It is was scarier to think of him as a character being played by someone who can blend in to the real world than always being a creepy clown.
2 years after premiere, I still think it's best piece of Kryptonian Epic.
I don't think I've seen anything like this on stage or on screen before, and how often can you say that in 2022!? A truly original and enthralling experience. Keep doing you, Max.
That was good. Don't think comic book would be ever able to give justice to this story.
Fantastic again, man! Thank you so much for continuing to make these projects. You’ve really helped me to reignite my passion for storytelling and the creative parts of my life. You’re truly a gift. Thank you. :)
Glad to hear it! Thank YOU
Daddy Kent sounds like the old man from pet cemetery and I love it
Holy shit that was so good that I feel like I owe you money for watching this
More classically trained actor / deranged murderer known as The Joker please.
I haven't watched this yet, but I'm commenting for the algorithm.
I think a project this ambitious and time consuming to produce at least deserves that much. I'm glad you've finished this.
"Babe, your glasses are broken..."
God, what a perfect moment to end this brilliant film on
I don't know if it's already in your plans or not, but if you do another short film in the Kryptonian Epic, I'd LOVE to see one centred around the interviews between Lois Lane and Jaden Libren as Aaron Scott/The Joker.
I cannot describe how much I love this. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Maybe it’s the mood I’m in today, but rewatching this I love Ted’s J. Edgar Hoover line so much for some reason
"He earned that limp" fucking phenomenal line.
I legit am just like I dunno lol
Do I just go back to the webcam videos til the animated movie comes out and hope people accept and love it for being the truly weird thing it is? such a weird moment, people always say "make a sequel to Wrestling Isn't Wrestling" but like...this all is the sequel to wrestling isn't wrestling.
I'm just so happy you liked it
@@Uptomyknees
I love these.
TL;DR
We’re Max Landis fans here.
Also fantastic snippets of Aaron Scott throughout.
Loved the scenes with Lois. Great romantic chemistry between himself & himself.
"Justice isn't suposed to be revenge" damn that line hits as a life long batman fan tierd of the modern "crazy batman" in pop culture
I've been working on a Nightwing movie for about 3-4 years, and the way you have Dick leave because of the Killing Joke is almost exactly the concept that I was working from. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees the potential of that story. Fantastic work overall.
This finally convinced me on the bane/Batman thing.
just in time
same; I didn't exactly dislike it before but I was really waiting on the full execution because it's one of those things that on paper sounds good but could have ended up brilliant or fucking terrible

OK just finished, the one thing I remember years ago is when Max said Nightwing was his favorite cause he has everything Batman had plus Batman and now Superman.
Batman is the father that shaped Dick Grayson but Superman was the father Grayson wanted.
Also obvious NIGHTWING IS SUPERMANS SUPERBOY
The best thing I've seen all my life, thank you max.
Dude. You crushed it. Your existence makes the world a better place.
Scarecrow is the most powerful villan in DC confirmed.
yeah obviously man its cillian murphy lol
Max has such a gift for storytelling. His ability to craft a very detailed but always interesting and entertaining tale is unmatched. The passion and enthusiasm he has when it comes to this stuff is so evident that it practically jumps off of the screen and you can’t help but get heavily invested and hyped up. Max could for real make a 2 hour video talking about paint drying and make it interesting. He is that damn good.
This is outstanding, I am seriously fucking floored by the effort.
Max this was amazing. Your retelling of the DC universe is so good. Your passion for the project is inspiring.
In the immortal words of Ric Flair "Woooooooooo!"
Dozens of things to talk about and appreciate in this video, I could talk about it all day. But holy shit I am really hung up on Aaron Scott in the best way. I'm absolutely fascinated by this take on the Joker, I want mooooore!!!

This is the moment that always reminds me the masterful story-weaving skill you’ve shown us over the years.
Thank you once again Max!
Im getting edibles this week specifically for this to drop.
Edit: Goddamn that end was special.
An hour and half watching you tell these great stories is better than MOST of 2021's movie offerings.
"I'm gonna Rottweiler this guy" has entered my regular vocabulary now. Thanks, Max.
That was a god damn masterpiece.

@@epistemophobia69 Fucking finally someone mentioned it, what the fuck is going on?
I always imagine these fights looking like a showdown from your movie Chronicle where people are ragdolling, throwing up blood, and causing the biggest amounts of collateral property damage known to man.
First, for context, I'm pumped from watching the Deposition of Barry Allen, so while I'm digesting that, I decided to go back here and share the thoughts I jotted out months ago about this. Really enjoying the story and the interesting way of telling it. Anyway, here's something:
"ok, so not to get too film theory, pop psychology, but one of the big themes of the Kryptonian Epic is Clark working through being in a place where he can have a family (and its easy to read it as Max working through those kind of ideas and issues too, but that is a reach).
To get on the same page:
First, previously (though I'm having trouble finding which video) he said that the end of the Kryptonian Epic is when Clark becomes a dad.
Shoutout to everyone else enjoying these and Max (cause who else is even gonna see this?).
Sir this is a masterpiece it takes everything I knew about batman and superman and flip's it on its head you have a gift for this thank you for this

Just finished watching it. I know, i know, couldn't watch it live. Still, pffiou, I'm exhausted after this. It was epic. That ending with Clark Kent. Wow
I never really cared for Superman before your work, thank you Max
This is incredible and just another reason as to why Max is my favorite producer/writer right now. I hope we get to see much more content in this style, thank you so much Max!
Your passion is something the world of entertainment is sorely lacking. It's so refreshing and enjoyable to watch.
On my third rewatch loved the use of Bane when seeing the full picture, the psychedelic trip was better than I could've hoped, and more than anything I love that baby Bruce has the same/similar voice as child Jason in the hellbound pitch
Keep making things like this man. It’s fucking great. Love how’ve kept the same style of your old videos while also making something new.
Love you Max. Missed your videos. This brings back so many happy memories watching your long form videos of the past. Thank you.

very very very well done
I was spellbound the whole time. There's a real local theater feel to you going through all the scenes, standing and pantomiming. Great story too, but even if it weren't, you sold the hell out of it.
3rd viewing. I now want to make a movie like this. There’s legitimately a market for this. It’s a wonderful way to tell a story.
I watched all the other Kryptonian Epic videos in order and then I watched this again…
I almost cried. This is beautiful. Can’t wait till we finally have the complete story.
I enjoy that Superman's main powers in this setting are being a well adjusted adult who just wants to talk, and being difficult enough to kill that he can finish talking to people.
I just watched this for the second time today. Man I love this.
Can confirm this is also good without weed
This was a very enjoyable high. Thank you so much Max and everyone involved!
