3:48 That right there. I did that while putting on my shoes having just recovered from a back strain 4 weeks earlier. I could feel my back go - again - at that very moment.

Very informative video, Dani. I'm now fairly convinced that I don't have nerve tension. Keep up the good work! -James

Wow. This blew my mind. Ty for sharing your knowledge

You're welcome! Blew my mind too the first time I learned it because it made a *immediate* noticeable difference (I have quite a bit of sciatic nerve tension, so pointing vs flexing the feet feels very different for me)

@@DaniWinksFlexibility I can see how my lower back, neck, hips tighten up in so many different positions because of this. And making the small modifications to relieve the nerve immediately relaxes those tight areas.
I was trying to push through it for so long and now I no longer have to. Thank you once again! I'm still processing this 🤯

Thank you Dani- going into anatomy was very useful to see. Looks like I have nerve tension!

Hi Dani, I found out I do have sciatic nerve issues.. do you have a beginner friendly routine that focuses on strengthening at your max range? (The long term solution)

Sure do - this is one of the free ones that includes a decent amount of active flex work: ruclips.net/video/0aa7x140Q48/видео.html

Thanks for the video. Many guys are unable to get into any position resembling those of the video. When I sit up straight with legs straight that is about the limit to my flexibility or tension. My question is whether i can 'transpose' my trunk position back 30 degrees backward and still do this assessment?
or...should i just bend my knees?

What are the causes of neural tension?
I have like fishing lines yanked behind my legs all the way under my feet
Some how tightening my core super hard gets those sensations going, I can't do the reps of pretty much any exercise especially the core work like planks and pall press hold
How do I find out where they're stuck coz I have it in both my legs sort of developed after some days of high rep low weight deadlifts last December
I really hope and wish I could deadlify again, for now I'm stuck at the 45 degree back extension machine that some time makes it better and sometimes worsens me my chiro gave up me

There are a lot of potential causes (tight muscles, stress, inflammation/swelling, other adhesions that are causing the nerve to "stick") - if you have it pretty severely it may be worth working with a professional (either a physical therapist if you feel like this is impacting your daily life, or a personal trainer or flexibility coach who can help build a more tailored plan to your needs if you feel like this generic advice isn't quite cutting it)

@@DaniWinksFlexibility thank you so much for your response, I have tried to seek help regarding this but I have very limited options where I live plus I guess this condition must be very rare because they don't seem to understand what I'm saying
For example the worsening of the yanked lines getting tighter if I squeeze my abs super hard or hold in my breath like for deadlift just stiffening my abs gets it going
Do you recommend an online doctor or therapist who work with these sort of things?
