Hi Dani……..very good video and I have a question. I do the frog stretch in my stretching/middle splits routine and it gets very intense and I am no able to get my muscles to relax and it feels very intense. Any suggestions on how to relax the muscles when reaching your maximum?
My goal is to strengthen my muscles. An expert once told me I have flexibility but lack strength, so I want to focus on building muscle. Could you suggest exercises specifically for muscle strengthening?

Hi Danny, I just found out about your channel and website. I'm really having a hard time getting my front split completely on the ground. I've been trying for almost 2 years now, and although I've seen progress, I'd like to finally make it. Which program from your library would you recommend? My hamstrings are approximately 1 inch away from the ground

Ive been doing this routine for about 1.5 months. At this point, in a cold state I can touch my knees with my palms. Warmed up, I can touch my knees with my wrists. I might have improved a bit, but not very much. What can I do on top of this to improve my progress?

You are a FANTASTIC teacher! You give the best flexibility information I've heard. I looked up "learn contortion over 40" & read about a woman who started her training at 43. I'm currently 43, so I was thrilled! Although I assumed any real & helpful information would be behind a pay wall, I clicked the Flexopedia expecting dictionary style definitions. You can't imagine how incredibly grateful & encouraged I am right now for such accessible & high-quality information. I just can't believe such an amazing flexibility professional has a RUclips channel. I've lived with a chronic illness since birth, which made me homebound for several years. I'm quite excited to rebuild my flexibility. I credit my flexibility, fairly active lifestyle &, more importantly, my faith with my ability to lie in bed for months at a time without becoming stiff. After 5 years of being in hospital 3-6mos per year & having bilateral hip replacement at 22, I'm slightly stiff, but more flexible than most. Thank you very much for helping me regain my life. Irl/virtual classes aren't possible right now, but the fountain of resources you've provided for free is overjoying.
When I straddle and try to go wider, I get a weird sensation/pinching almost in my outer top thigh and can’t go any further. Do you know what the cause of this could be and any exercises that could help? It’s really stopping me from getting my splits 😢

Backbends don’t hurt my wrists anymore tysm <3 Edit: I did this daily and my wrists got strained, but I think for me that’s a lack of strength rather than a lack of flexibility. I recommend doing weight lifting exercises for your forearms in addition to this if you have weak arms.
How can u go from a standing position to the bridge pose i mean like bending backwards and then going into that position? I can only do the bridge when I lay down somewhere before doing it and I cant do it when I staand before

As a dancer who is trying to become more flexible, this has been really helpful! For a long time I've thought that i had tight hamstrings, but it was actually the nerves
@daniwinksflexibility do you have any idea what might be causing a painful snapping sensation in the hip when in a compressed straddle or when lifting the leg externally? I feel it even if the hip is externally rotated like how you show in the video. Muscle tightness doesn’t seem to be the limiting factor

i can do the splits if my hips arent square but if i square my hips suddenly im 2 inches off the ground ughhh
if i stretch every day and im like 1-2 inches away from my splits can i get my splits in like a week? hopefully less days

This is so helpful, I do yoga classes and a lot of the poses require more space in the hamstrings than I already have so I will do this and update on this message so I can see my progress. Day 1: Followed the video and I think I got a centimetre closer to the floor. (I am currently 5 ish centimetres away at the moment)

How do I know when I can allow my front thigh to make contact with the ground while maintaining square hips? I feel like when i go lower, my hips may come out of alignment. Tucking back tows does help this.Thanks for the great video!
