we will neither erect in our areas a monastery, church, or a sanctuary for a monk, nor restore any place of worship that needs restoration nor use any of them for the purpose of enmity against Muslims. We will not prevent any Muslim from resting in our churches whether they come by day or night, and we will open the doors of our houses of worship for the wayfarer and passerby. Those Muslims who come as guests, will enjoy boarding and food for three days. We will not allow a spy against Muslims into our churches and homes or hide deceit or betrayal against Muslims. We will not teach our children the Qur'an, publicize practices of Shirk, invite anyone to Shirk or prevent any of our fellows from embracing Islam, if they choose to do so. We will respect Muslims, move from the places we sit in if they choose to sit in them. The Jew fell ill and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came to him, sat at his head and said to him: “Convert to Islam.” the young Jew looked at his father who was present with him who then said to him: “Obey abou al qassim” may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. He converted to Islam and then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out and said: "Praise be to Allah who saved him from the fire."
Don't you think Muhammed (peace be upon him) would have been respectful to this young boy? He was the best humans and his behaviour was full of mercy and kindness.
And NO we do not force people to Convert. Our duty is to try to convince them, to help them to discover the truth but we don't have the power to force anybody. Only Allah is able to do that, even the Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) cannot :
Surah Yunus verse 99:
*Had your Lord so willed ˹O Prophet˺, all ˹people˺ on earth would have certainly believed, every single one of them! Would you then force people to become believers?*
SURAH AL-QASAS AYAT 56
*(O Prophet), you cannot grant guidance to whom you please. It is Allah Who guides those whom He will. He knows best who are amenable to guidance.*
